This company is the definition of bad management. The crew that comes on site rarely knows whats going on and rarely follows the contract.

The management team doesn't return calls, doesn't relay messages to their crew, and doesn't follow up with their crew to be sure everything was completed as suggested.

If you hire CoCal, be prepared to pay more than deserved and receive poor services in which you end up managing their crew and managers and not them. Its a wonder how they became such a large company...

UPDATE - 11/6/13
Since I posted the language above, my services have changed dramatically for the best. Carlos, the VP of CoCal, came to my property personally and listened to all my concerns and frustrations. He personally took over management of my property willingly and went out of his way to contact me.

Since that time he has made sure that a Crew Member speaks with me each week and that all my needs have been met. He usually answers my call the first time and calls me back within the same day if he is unavailable.

I want to thank you so much for the excellent job you did removing snow at High Point during this week's difficult storm. I had out patient surgery on Wednesday morning and was able to make it to and from the hospital, thanks to the outstanding, hard work of your team. It was really cold for our area and I woke up to a clear driveway, sidewalk, and street! I have north facing exposures so I live in fear of falling, but this team completely cleared the snow from all paths. Thanks for a job well done!

Trashy company,maybe they called the police on me when I parked on the outside of road in front of their company for a couple minutes,just so these people hate the people who they don’t like , they parked on the side of the road every whole day,I can call police on them every single time

Jose H and his team work hard and provide excellent service to the communities. Cocals attention to detail and communication are vital to the success they achieve.

We've had CoCal as our landscape company in my community for a few years and have had an overall good experience! Working with Jazzy Rodriguez, our Account Manager, has been a pleasant experience, as she has always been very professional and attentive to our needs.

We have used CoCal for several years to mow and clean up a vacant property for out of state owners. They have always done a great job and been very accommodating to our request for before/after photos. The people are friendly and professional. A great experience overall.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Read the reviews before you do business with them. They are very good at collecting their money, but their warranty is useless. I have been waiting now for 5 months for them to repair a gate that was installed incorrectly to begin with. After numerous promises to fix it, now they won't respond to me at all. The WORST customer service I have experienced in a long time. It took almost 3 months for them to replace dying plants. STAY AWAY!!! The owner Stacey won't call me back and Frank the designer ignores any communication. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. They are also overpriced, get another bid, you'll do better!

I’ve never had any personal experience with the company, but they do block pedestrian roadways because they are entitled enough to do so. I have pictures of the company blocking roadways and pedestrian sidewalks. Not a fan and certainly the County will have some words.

We have used Co-Cal for many years at our community and have found that they are professional, reliable and I always get a timely response to my requests. In the past they have always done a great job on the snow removal for us. This last storm was to much for anyone to keep up with. I'm sorry that the others giving you the bad reviews don't understand that.

I highly recommend Cocal Landscape. They have been doing the grounds maintenance for our HOA community (many acres) for several years, and they have done an excellent job. Each year seems to get get better, as they have incorporated community suggestions, and they have effectively managed the watering schedules in various areas. They are knowledgeable, professional and responsive. They have also done a number of special landscape improvement projects for us. Each time, they have provided the best bid, and the results were amazing.

This company was hired by my apartment complex to spray pesticides (which is fine, great even). However when it is a dog friendly community and I have only seen three signs on our FIVE BUILDING property of warning signs to not walk your dog on the grass & keep children from playing in it... this is where I began to have an issue. The complex never told us they were coming, not their fault but still for all dog owners and parents, it would have been a nice heads up! When I first saw the sign I called wanting to know what they sprayed, how long to keep my dog off the grass (taking him out has now become a real stress/ hassle) but no one will pick up the phone!! I have called this company SEVERAL times and have even left two voicemails. If your looking for a company who answers, is responsible with what they are spraying, or reliable please don't waste your time!!

If your the company seeing this check your damn voicemails from time to time why don't ya? and the answering service you have? stop paying them!! you don't return the massages anyway!

Matthew and The Boulder crew are the best in town. For the last two years they have turned the property around that another "nationwide" contractor destroyed. They created beautiful designs to revitalize the landscaping, added color and design and help maintain the property year round. During Snow Season their attention to detail is impeccable. I am really glad we made the change to Cocal. Their commitment to service has raised the bar on Colorado landscaping. Kudos to those behind the scenes that assist as well!

CoCal has been our vendor of choice for 15 years for both landscape and snow removal services. I have appreciated their unfailing professionalism and responsiveness as well as their continued patience of our expectations. A special note of gratitude to the snow removal crew for the March 2021 blizzard. Even while struggling themselves to clear snow from our property, they were kind enough to pause and dig out a tenant who became stuck in the snow. This is a company you want on your team!

I've been using CoCal now for about a year at my residential property and have been extremely happy. One main reason is Luis. Luis has been hands down one of the best landscapers that I've had the pleasure of working with. He is always on point, making sure his job is done to the highest quality and professionalism! I could not recommend his quality of work any higher so I felt it necessary to go ahead and give him his kudos right here in this platform. If you are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a can do attitude, Luis and CoCal are your way to go!

I just witnessed the female driver of a White SUV commit the most dangerous maneuver I've ever seen on the I25 highway. She nearly missed the 84th exit, and pulled over on the highway shoulder, reversed back to the exit ramp, and waited for a chance to hop back on. Cutting drivers off and also cutting through the dirt. Instead of taking the extra 3 minutes of going to the next exit. She then drives up to the light looking down, on her phone. I wouldn't be surprised if that vehicle ends up rear ended

IMO, as a professional in the industry with a degree in turf management and 30 years of experience, never use this company. They brought in unscreened topsoil with hundreds of 1 1/2 rock all through it. It was supposed to be compost 3 yards per 1000 is industry standard. Their comment was “you have to put it in the contract saying you don’t want rock riddled unscreened top soil as your compost for your turf and planting beds.” You walk on the grass and can feel all the rocks underneath. Also, they were asked to put irrigation in the front and said it wasn’t possible. And they said they couldn’t walk on the lawn for 3 months. If you want an expensive crappy product, they’re for you.

We moved into north Central Park in 2019 and have used CoCal for all of our landscaping. We recently had them work on a project and they were quick to respond, respectful of our property, ensured the water/drip lines worked well and cleaned the site afterwards. I’m very happy we hired them.

I've had a fantastic experience thus far with CoCal. We have a 15 acre property and they have been prompt on tackling previously neglected areas and tasks. From shrub tidying, to irrigation repairs and general landscaping maintenance, they have been nothing but friendly, responsive, reliable and communicative. Shout out to Matthew for his help getting it all set up.

Our $8000 concrete job is disintegrating two years later. We reached out and got no response. City sidewalks last longer than this.

I strongly do NOT recommend CoCal Landscape. Multiple issues with multiple incompetent responses.

The lawn of my Association is being neglected. Since the start of their contract, they have failed to properly regulate the sprinkler system. At first, it was going off THREE times a night EVERY night Now, in the middle of summer, they just turned it off and it is just dying. It's probably a good way for them to save on actually having to mow if the grass isn't getting watered and growing. Either way, they do not have a competent team working on their sprinklers (look at other reviews for this theme).

Speaking of mowing, we had to contact them multiple times at the start of the contract due to the simply poor quality of mowing.

Third, they destroyed my trees. They trimmed the trees of the Association without our permission or request. They did a horrible, sloppy job, including splitting tree branches, which can affect the long term health of the trees.

It has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this company. I would not recommend them for a small or large job. They need to do better.

Incredible. The owners are top notch. Prices are great. Don't tell no one.
