They did an excellent job on my yard and we're so kind. I highly recommend them for and landscaping.

We had several bids on our job. The task involved completely tearing out 100% of the original landscaping, rock, trees, irrigation system and window wells, then re-grading, replacing rock, trees, irrigation, sod and window wells.
Antwan and Christine understood exactly what we were looking to do and explained what was required to make that happen. Their bid was not the lowest , but less than most we received. We ultimately decided to go with Hector's because of the terrific and responsive communication.
Midway through the project we decided against the basic corrugated steel window wells and asked about retaining wall block egresses since Antwan mentioned they make a lot of retaining walls. Antwan and his crew took it in stride and knocked out the task in no time flat. We are so glad we went that route as it is such a fantastic upgrade to the appearance of our house and the longevity of our window wells.
We are extremely pleased with the job Hector's did and highly recommend them.

Hector's Landscaping worked on updating my side yard from a right old mess to a beautiful yard.

Antwan and Cristina were very responsive, quoting for the work as we were discussing it. Antwan was flexible as the scope of the job changed and was more than happy to accommodate our indecisiveness. Antwan was knowledgeable and thorough, often able to take a vague "we'd like something like this" and make it just like we pictured it even if we were unable to verbalize it.

The business is a family operation so everyone works really well together. The crew is very efficient and was able to get the whole job done in three days.

I highly recommend them for any job large or small!

    Pictures are before and after.

Just moving in to a recently built house with a small side yard and no idea what to do with it. Antwan showed up and was able to give some ideas and insight as to what would work best for our small space. They completed the project in a timely manner and even took the time to go with me to pick out flowers and additions that were low maintenance as I had requested (I'm no gardener and DO NOT have a green thumb.) I cannot wait to add some finishing touches to make this perfect space more perfect.

High quality work without any worries. We had them build a large retaining wall, fill dirt, compost, sprinkler system, tree planting, road base, sod and walkway. They did exactly what we discussed and didn’t cut any corners during the installation. We would highly recommend them and will use them again for all our landscaping needs.

Just got back in from having breakfast on our beautiful new patio! Cannot say enough nice things about Hector’s landscaping. When we started the project we had an idea of what we wanted, but they helped us design something so much better than we could have imagined! They finished the project in a week and left the yard better than they found it.

Landscapes 101 did a great job xeriscaping our front yard. I worked with the owner who took a thoughtful approach to the project and was great at listening to our input and what we wanted. Once they got started they had the whole thing done in less than a day. Would recommend for your landscape need.

William was awesome to co-work with for a stamped concrete project we did in Littleton Colorado. He was really good at communicating and coordinating material drop off for the project. While working with him and his team, I learned that they are very professional and care about the work that they do for customers. Highly recommend if you want somebody responsible and has good workmanship.

There are two types of contractor in this world.

Those who get the job done without causing more problems and those who can’t.

This company is the kind that can’t.

    I’m a nutshell.

    Sloppy work
    Unreliable
    Belligerent

    You’ve been warned.

William came by to fix my sprinkler system that wasn't communicating to the solenoids properly. Was super fast and knowledgeable, will use again!

One of these amazing employees flipped out when asked to wear a mandatory mask inside the restaurant I was in tonight. He flipped tables over and ripped signs off the door then got in his work van and went across the parking lot. Fortunately the police were already in the parking lot and he was given a trespass warning. If he ever returns he will be arrested. Great thing to do when you’re in a company car.

Will helped blow out our sprinklers in the fall, and was so great we reached out for some landscaping help, which he and his team went above and beyond supporting. I highly recommend Landscapes 101 for any lawn maintenance or landscaping work anybody could need!

I scheduled a sprinkler blow out with Landscapes 101 a few days ago. They called me 15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive saying that they can't come out because they "didn't want to get sick from the weather.". It's lightly drizzling and 45 degrees. There is also a freeze warning tonight and I'm put in a tough spot to get these taken care of today.

William Walker "Walker" bid my sprinkler addition on April 29th for a set price. The number of heads, scope of work, and existing utility placement did not change from the day he bid it to the day they began work. The morning he arrived to start the job he looked at the utility locating markings and immediately increased his price by $300.00 with the excuse that it was going to require hand digging over the utility locations. Again, none of the work changed in any way and he should have anticipated the need to hand dig over the utilities. When the job was done (7:00 on a Sunday evening) he sent me an “invoice” which was just an email with no formal pricing, we had the following text exchange copied from my phone verbatim. For clarity, the utilities that run through my front yard where the work was performed are no different than you would typically find in any front yard. Electric, Gas, Telephone, and Water.

    Me
$300 more than your original quote, but the scope of work didn't change. The utilities didn't move, no zones were added, no additional heads were installed. Please explain why your price increased.

    Walker
I told you. It was bc the additional hand digging bc all the utilities
Took us 2 additional hrs to hand dig plus i told you in advance the cost would increase 300
So the scope of the work DID change

    Me
But the utilities didn't change. We reviewed them when you initially came out here and bid the job. Did you not think figure hand digging over the utilities when you first looked at the project?

Walker and I then had a phone conversation where I stated why I felt the added cost was not warranted and it should have been figured into the original bid. He ended that conversation with the statement "just write the check" and hung up on me. Upon completion of the work this evening Walker was not on sight and I paid his assistant the original agreed upon price. Walker then called me and threatened me with the statement "you don't want to mess with me" and hung up on me. Our next text exchange is copied below without editing.

    Me
Is this how you run your business. Hanging up on customers instead of rationally discussing the issue? I would have met you halfway with no argument, but instead you leave the conversation with a threat. I'm disappointed.

    Walker
Ive got nothing else to say to you sir. You stole from me and i will handle it accordingly. Enjoy your theft.

After some consideration and to relieve myself of the stress of ever having to deal with this man again I sent him the following text message copied verbatim.

    Me
$300 is nothing to me, and not worth the stress of having to deal with you again at any level in the future. Text me your business address and I will mail you another check for the added amount.

    Walker
I even told you it would be $300 extra when we couldn't trench any complete lines with the trencher due to all the interference because the yard is loaded with utilities. Much more than was anticipated. I told you when i was there it would be an additional $300 and you said it was ok. We installed better heads than you paid for too bc i was trying to be cool.

The time for money exchanging hands between us has past. $300 don't mean nothing to me either. But disrespect on any level does mean something. My options are limited but i do have options and believe me when i say that i will show you the same energy you have showed me.

In summary, anyone considering using Landscapes 101 needs to understand that this person has issues that can make him very hostile if you disagree with his position.

As far as a review of their work I can't say for sure because the installation was only completed today so I will reserve judgement on that until I have an opportunity to use the system. As far as their business ethics and how they relate to their customers I think if you have read this far you already have a pretty good idea where I stand.
