Bad experience with this contractor. After paying $850 to have my inducer motor replaced (normal price $475 - $650 for this job) on an 10 year old Goodman unit, I had to have CT come out 3 more times for the same issue. Clearly the problem was not solved and I was charged to replace parts that were not broken.
I called to report the unit was still broken about 4 days after the initial inducer installation when it stopped working again. CT came out a day later and said he cleaned the ignitor and that the problem should be fixed. 8 days later the unit was broken again and would not turn on.
We scheduled a second appointment for the next day (Saturday) and said we would meet at 1pm. At 3 pm I called CT they said he had hurt his toe and would not make it that day. We made an appointment for the next day at 12pm (Sunday). At 4pm sunday I called and asked when I could expect someone as no one had shown up or called. I had now been waiting for two full days and had completely thrown away a weekend waiting for someone to come out or call and let me know where they were coming.
After third trip I asked if I could expect this visit would fix the issue. CT installed a gas valve and charged me $350. They stated I could try replacing the gas regulator and they would charge me $600 for the job but said he would prefer I pay CT to install an entire new unit for $3500-$4000. CT never tested the gas valve or regulator or any other part, he just said that was the next thing he would try, and after that he would try the control board and so on until we fixed the problem. They told me this after I already paid $850 to replace a working inducer. My unit was installed by CT in 2006 by the previous home owner, and CT suggested I buy a completely new unit 10 years later. Let that sink in. The unit was not under Goodman warranty as CT never registered it when they installed it in 2006.
CT suggested I have excel come out and test the gas regulator. Excel came out and tested my regulator at the gas main, it was fine. Milo didn't test this, he was just guessing again.
I was charged a grand total of $1100 to replace 2 parts i didn't need. I wasted two weekends and it took 3 service calls and the problem was never fixed as the unit stopped working a week later.
CT clearly don't know what they're doing and appear to be scamming people. I don't mind paying a fair price for a good contractor but these guys ripped me off then offered to install a new unit for thousands of dollars. I bought a cheap voltage meter at home Depot and tested the unit myself. The gas regulator inside the furnace was bad, I bought a new one on eBay for $68. It took me 10 minutes and two YouTube videos to figure it out and install the new unit, it has been working fine since. I should also mention they did not adjust or calibrate the gas valve they installed. This is a potential safety risk. I've tried contacting them to get my money back but they are no longer taking my calls or answering my voice mails. I'm considering taking CT to small claims court - I got screwed bad on this one. Buyer beware
