We've worked with Pasterkamp twice now. The first time was for our boiler. We thought we'd need a new boiler, but the guy (who came immediately at the end of the day!) really knew what he was doing and changed a small part. This was two years ago and still going strong. More recently, they came right over and fixed or AC. Very prompt service, courteous and knowledgeable employees, reasonable prices. Strongly recommended!

I just want new customers to be informed and aware of the charges to get this company out to your house for an estimate.

In addition to what you pay to get fixed, you pay a "trip charge" of $45.00. In addition to the "Trip Charge" you ALSO PAY their hourly rate of $160.00 for however long it takes them to drive to your house and then, away from your house to their next destination.

This is what was explained to me today and yesterday when I spoke to two people from the company. This morning I called to make sure I understood the charging structure and after reviewing it and me telling the gentleman I had intended to write this review, he stated to me, well, "We have been in business here for the past 65 years.". So, I figure there are customers who do not mind these charges but I am writing this for the new ones who did not know, like me.

Marc came out and checked the CO2 reading in the crawl space where my hot water heater was. I also paid Marc to flush and maintain my tankless hot water heater. So, when the $360.00 bill came I questioned it. I also called today and spoke to a gentleman in the office........Breakdown of money: $45.00 "Trip Charge" and also, $160.00 "truck charge" as they carry tools on the truck.......Marc explained they charge for the drive from where the truck is before coming to my house and then they charge for travel from my house to their office or the next call. Their hourly rate is $160.00 to do the work so they charge that much for driving. $80.00 to drive to my house; $80.00 to drive away from my house and the $45.00 trip charge. So, according to that metric, the flushing to maintain my tankless hot water heater was about $155.00. I asked for a copy of my Invoice and was told it would be ready next Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

I was satisfied with my technician and his work; however, as others have mentioned, be forewarned of their questionable billing practices. Yesterday I paid a very hefty fee due to having to cover my tech’s drive time to my house. I understand perhaps adding on a fuel surcharge, but paying the full expensive hourly rate for driving (in addition to truck charge) seems like a reach. It’s apparently total luck of the draw in terms of where your tech is driving from. $400 for an hour and a half AC tune up with no issues found, yikes!

Been using Pasterkamp for 30 years on anything from steam boilers to standard HVAC systems. There IS a science to all of this and it takes a lot of experience and knowledge. They are by far the best and I have referred them to many people who feel the same. They have never disappointed me!

I've worked with Pasterkamp for almost 20 years in various buildings. The techs are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The office staff keeps things running smoothly and I really appreciate knowing that they will be here with the the change of the seasons.

I contracted Pasterkamp to install a Mitsubishi Smart Multi Zone heat pump in our townhome. One zone is located with the furnace and the second, a 12,000 BTU wall-mount unit is installed in our two-car garage. Also installed, a Lennox Elite, variable-speed 97% efficient natural gas furnace with a Lennox smart thermostat. The system works well, efficient, quieter and far more comfortable than our old system. The heat pump is located in our townhome's courtyard and operates at a very low decibel level allowing normal conversation that was never possible with our previous condensing unit. Christian and Liam, two of Pasterkamp’s installation team arrived on time each day, were efficient, careful in our home, and proved excellent craftsmen.

Today we had Liam, a technician from Pasterkamp, in our home for an annual servicing on our furnace. He introduced himself and then went about his work quickly and efficiently. Afterwards he informed me as to what he did and the condition of the furnace.

In addition, I had received an unrelated delivery which was quite heavy. As I recently had wrist surgery I was unable to move the box. Liam was gracious enough to move it to the basement for me. Pasterkamp is rightly proud to have such a great young man working for and representing the company!

We have dealt with the Pasterkamp family owned business for more than 25 years. The office staff are always friendly and helpful when we call and every service tech has been great. We highly recommend this company for all HVAC needs. You won’t go wrong with Pasterkamp!

The team at Pasterkamp Heating and Air Conditioning made my recent HVAC systems replacement a cool breeze. They were competitive in pricing, professional and courteous at every juncture and demonstrated unbelievable craftsmanship in the installation of two large furnaces and air conditioning units. The Lennox products that were included, have exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and value. Every promise made in the process was delivered with timely professionalism and utmost courtesy.

But I must admit in the beginning, there was a bit of concern about Pasterkamp’s reputation, given some of the issues found on the Internet both at Google and the Lennox site. So as part of my competitive bid process, I gave each of the 3 competitors the opportunity to pitch their capabilities and in the case of Pasterkamp, gave them an opportunity to allay my fears. After meeting with Jason G, who heads the operation, and speaking with a recent customer of theirs, I awarded them the business. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcomes.

The installation team was headed up by Christian who was meticulous in laying out the implementation design and spent hours on site and in their shops prepping for the full 3 day install. Christian orchestrated his team of Danny and Tim with flawless precision and efficient execution. They were all extremely experienced and accommodating. I’m a details guy and marveled at the level of concentration on the smallest of details. It was clear they brought tons of talent… this was not their first rodeo.

And although the system swaps required navigating some tight spaces, the walls were never nicked and the carpets were immaculate once they concluded their efforts. It was like watching a professional ball team with each player knowing his position and collectively executing a winning game plan. Too often you have one image in mind at the beginning of the sales process and often the reality is different. Not so with this pro team… they exceeded my expectations at every level, ever time!

The final tribute to the Pasterkamp team’s efforts came from the building inspectors who let’s say, are “very particular” in my part of town. The installations passed with flying colors. The inspectors were impressed saying the installation exceeded most they had seen, stating it had a high end commercial look and feel. Needless to say I was pleased to hear their professional assessment. So once again, I reiterate my endorsement for the Pasterkamp HVAC team and highly recommend them to every customer looking for a superior company with fabulous people who you can depend on for exceptional products and a lifetime of exemplary service.

Just bought a new house and wanted (needed) to know how to manage my HVAC. Jesse and his apprentice Liam were excellent on giving me a real education all while checking the system to see if there were any problems. The service was excellent, the education great, and I got some wonderful tips in how to ensure top performance of my system. Thanks guys!

The technician who came to our home was very knowledgeable and read all the dials & instruments quickly. Our A/C is not connected to a furnace so he climbed through an opening in the garage ceiling & checked it all out. He spent time explaining things to me which was very helpful. All done in an hour. And the charge was reasonable. Thank you!

Their reputation for excellence is well-deserved. My furnace replacement was handled flawlessly, and the new unit is working like a dream.

An expensive and unresolved experience for mini split repair. Unethical service team. They said the outdoor unit could not be repaired or replaced. Quoted $13k for a full replacement of a relatively new unit that was under warranty. We had to find another company to do initial repairs and additional repairs due to incompetence which lead to completely replacing the outdoor unit for $3K vs. the $13K. Elkhorn was competent and ethical for mini split repair.

After calling 5 companies, making 2 appointments that were canceled the day of because “they don’t service rooftop units” on a condominium; I called Pasterkamp for help. This is the ONLY company in Denver that I found that will service an AC unit on the roof of a Condominium. My rooftop unit requires a 30 foot ladder to access it.

Aidan and Michael came out to my condo, they were very friendly and thoughtful. They even had to deal with many wasp nests before getting my unit up and running again.

They explained the work they did and told me about their yearly service plan.

Can't say enough good things. They were professional and affordable. They worked with me to meet my needs but also did not try to over-price me and looked for ways to identify savings. They guys were prompt and did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely use them and recommend them in the future!!!

What a great experience we have had with these guys!!! Kenny came over gave me a very thorough and knowledgeable assessment of my one working unit and one broken unit. He put together a competitive quote in real time. A few days later Marc came out to service our working unit and was just as kind and informative as Kenny was. He got the work done quickly and showed us how to use our new smart thermostat. I’d recommend them for anything you need!

Pasterkamp came through in a pinch on a heat pump problem in a condo we were about to sell. A thermostat issue on the unit came up at inspection and Pasterkamp quickly got to site to diagnose the issue in issue and quote a repair. While there they found a blower wheel that was just about to come undone and quoted to replace that as well. I hadn't realized how noisy the unit was (due to this issue) until they fixed it! Theresa was a pleasure to work with and scheduled her team quickly.

Excellent. They saved me nearly $20,000 -- which was the estimate for the repair work recommended by a competitor. Pasterkamp fixed it for $400.

** addition: I just had some more work done by them. They continue to be five star and get my highest recommendation. I’ve been in Denver for 40 years, and I think these folks are the best in town in my opinion.

Terrible service call. I have an older furnace which was having an ignition problem. The Pasterkamp tech did no diagnostics on the ignition, instead writing an estimate to replace the furnace (first option exceeded $10,000) or the blower. (The problem was ignition.) They charged me $100 for this! After numerous emails over two weeks about the ignition issue, I finally called another company, and they came out, cleaned the sensors, checked some wires (cleaned and tightened) and the problem was fixed. I wrote a review, and only then did Pasterkamp sent a proposal to service the igniter and now claim they offered good service. They did refund my $100, but in turn, asked me to delete my review. So I emailed the general manager -- with no response. Anyway, save yourself the heartburn and call someone else for good service.

Fantastic service! I had an issue with my heating system, and this company came to the rescue. Their technicians were friendly and efficient, diagnosing the problem quickly and providing a reasonable solution. My home is now cozy and warm again. Thank you!
