I was in need of a new furnace and AC to replace my 30 year old unit. After getting a quote for over $24K from 24fixit, I reached out to Pasterkamp. They have been in business for decades, family owned and great reputation. Not only did I save over $7K, I got a much better unit on both the AC and furnace. But most important to me was the quality and care of the install. Special shout out to Michael, who takes great care and pride in his work.
He was also training a young apprentice whose schooling is being paid for by the company. I love that. One of the owners Jim Pasterkamp came out to check on he job. Who does that?

Forest was great. He had worked on our system before and was able to quickly diagnose some issues as minor and take care of them - we had been recently told that we needed a new water heater but were skeptical. We called Pasterkamp because, while a bit more expensive, we trust their integrity.

Could have used a tech who knew about how furnaces worked, who would have re-attached/secured the air intake duct and vacuumed/cleaned the blower motor instead of recommending a full furnace replacement. He should have actually measured the furnace operation instead of stating that normal operating behavior was incorrect. Hopefully they send their techs to school for this however the one that arrived was pretty ignorant.

I would like to thank Marc, Kenny and Jason for the time they took to provide us with an installation quote and Marc's kindness to help tighten up a connection on our boiler while there to provide the quote to eliminate a small gas leak we had. The team was professional, and I believe had our best interests in mind with their suggestions. Great company, I scheduled a second opinion on my furnace. As the first company said, we needed to replace our furnace because the repairs were going to be extensive. Darin maintained my furnace and verified everything was working great.

Christian, Rob, JD and crew were exceptional. We received six different bids for our project, and Kenny’s plan was far more thorough than others. The execution by Christian was exceptional. He was professional, and thought of every detail to keep my 90 year old father in law comfortable during the work. The communication throughout the project was excellent. The finished product works better than expected. I would describe our experience with Pasterkamp as our best mechanical-type service we have ever had, and unfortunately, we’ve had many.

When our condo’s unique HVAC system failed, they were the only company willing to assess ours and our neighbor’s “newer” system in-person, and adapt to a modern one. Their bid process was efficient, communication was prompt, and the transition from sales to installation was seamless. Even during the long, 13-week lead time with the manufacturer, all calls were returned within 24 hours. For actual installation, Christian and Kenny were outstanding! Through clear communication, their expertise and numerous consultative phone calls, they navigated the limited space, communicated set-backs promptly (anticipated one day became three with the expanded scope), and added dampeners with professionalism. Pasterkamp is refreshingly different and genuine, and I feel so much better with their one-year service and labor warranties. I highly recommend Pasterkamp for quality HVAC work!

Really appreciated Dwayne, who did an outstanding job. We had a chat about whether I needed new filters for my AC unit, which I intended to buy from him. He was honest and explained that at the moment, they weren't necessary. However, he suggested I might need them for my AC in a few months, but not for my humidifier. I love that kind of honesty. He was considerate and knowledgeable. We also discussed duct cleaning and vent cleaning, and he was very open to the conversation. I had a furnace check-up booked with a different service provider and upon their arrival, they insisted that I needed to immediately replace my heat exchanger due to a crack. They didn't perform any tests for potential carbon monoxide leaks, merely stating that it was their company policy, and then proceeded to shut down my furnace. In need of a second opinion, I reached out to another furnace repair service and Dwayne was dispatched. Dwayne carried out a thorough carbon monoxide test and evaluated my furnace and heat exchanger. He confidently confirmed that there was no need to shut down my furnace, and that there was no risk of carbon monoxide poisoning based on his evaluation. He was able to break down the problems with my heater in a way that was easy to understand. While he did recommend replacing the heat exchanger by the time spring rolled around - a reasonable suggestion given its age - he assured me that it wasn't on the brink of catastrophic failure as the previous service provider had indicated. His expertise and practical approach ensured that my home remained warm, and I wasn't forced into an immediate large expenditure. Come spring, I'm considering hiring this same furnace repair service to install a new furnace and heat exchanger.
