I was in a rush after a busy month and we were about to head out of town, It was getting late in the season and I need to get my sprinkler system winterized and blown out. I had called around to a few places but everyone was booked out a few weeks, DC Landscape was able to come out the next morning , they were prompt and quick. Friendly service discussed a few options and did a great job overall. I highly recommend their services and I wont hesitate to use them again for future needs!

Be wary of some of the varieties of trees and plants recommended by this firm: the Linden tree was devoured by Japanese beetles and we haven't seen our "perfect " purple crabapples bloom in 2 years because, guess what, it still snows here in April when the tree is supposed to bloom. The frost / snow kills the blooms. Several of the mungos died as well and had to be replaced.

My advice: use only truly native plants and trees to Colorado. You won't win the battle with non native varieties. Native grasses, evergreens, and spartan junipers won't let you down.

Ivy Street Design creates absolutely beautiful backyards! I can not recommend them enough if you are looking to support an incredible, locally owned, Denver business!

I hired this company to help me with the design of my space in the early May of 2023. I confirmed a 4-6 week timeline for design with Ian Ferguson. I then scheduled a contractor to start work in the summer. They consistently missed deadlines, were unresponsive, and then when I told them I was heading in a different direction in September, they became litigious over a $1,600 bill. I indicated that I had to start over with someone new and that we were unable to use their plans at all. Now they've taken me to small claims court and are refusing mediation. A disappointing experience all in all.

We had a fantastic experience working with Ivy Street Design and Kaylin, our designer. Her work came highly recommended to us by some friends and we were not disappointed. From the first contact through the end of the project, Kaylin was professional and responsive, and the end result was great.

In the initial consultation, Kaylin listened attentively to what we liked and didn’t like about our old yard, and guided us to a set of functional and aesthetic goals for the project. The first time we saw her preliminary design proposal we were thrilled with how she had captured everything we were looking for in a new yard and tied it together into an ideal layout, while bringing countless nuanced touches to the design that really took it beyond anything we could have imagined.

Moving to the bid solicitation and selection, Kaylin’s guidance really made us feel comfortable in navigating the entirely foreign process of comparing build proposals and helped us choose a contractor that we were ultimately very pleased with. As the project moved forward, she was regularly onsite to review progress and ensure construction was fulfilling the vision of the plan as intended.

Lastly, we visited the nursery with Kaylin to select our plantings, and once again she provided recommendations that brought together a fascinating mix of colors, textures, and shapes, all while seamlessly accommodating our requests and tastes.

We could not be more pleased with Kaylin and ISD and have been recommending her to many of our friends enthusiastically.

Working with Emma and Ivy Street Design was a great experience. Emma took the time to figure out exactly what my wife and I wanted for our yard, and was very helpful in filling in all the details we hadn't thought about. She was also involved with the project from start to finish, and was extremely helpful in working with the contractors as well. Outstanding communication. We love our new yard, and the neighbors do, too!

We used Ivy Street Design for a significant backyard remodel project that included a new patio with built-in outdoor kitchen, a pool/in-ground spa, firepit, and associated landscaping.

We had a wonderful experience working with Edgar at Ivy Street Design. He helped us transform our run down backyard into a beautiful, functional space that suits the character of our house and our needs. We get compliments from visitors and neighbors constantly. I can't recommend highly enough!

My wife and I went to Ivy Street for a design to improve our back patio. It was fine but basically a big expanse of saw cut concrete. It is now a beautiful stone patio with a water feature and much more green in planters and around the fountain. It also seems to be much more wildlife friendly, which we lover. We look out at it every morning and think what a great improvement it has been. Thanks, Ivy Street.

We worked with Nina in year one to replace our significant front sloping lawn with native xeriscaping. That year was excessively wet and muddy and some of the plants did not make it. I was so disappointed but Ivy Street worked with use to ensure that the plants that failed were replaced at their expense. They also consulted with us to make some wise substitutions. Now we are in year two and the garden is abundant, healthy, thriving, and we get so many compliments from our neighbors and passers-by.

We worked with Ivy Street Design on a complete landscape redo of our entire 1 acre property. Our intent was to create a whole new look by tearing out almost everything from the yard except our established trees and reduce our water use. Ivy Street designed the yard, listening to our thoughts and choosing plants that were appropriate for different areas of our yard. They worked closely with the contractor that did the work and completed the project on time. Nina and Edgar were instrumental in the successful completion of the job. We're now moving into the spring of the third year and I know that this is the year they had originally told us would be the beginning of the plants really flourishing.

I worked with Ivy Street Design to create a space in our back yard where we could have dinner, entertain guests and watch movies, all surrounded by easy-to-maintain plants. Edgar and Kelsey were great to work with and came up with a fantastic design for our space. They gave us thoughtful recommendations to choose from, they were patient, communicated well and continued to check in often as the project moved from design through execution. Everything turned out amazing and my family is very happy with our new space.

Wow - what a team, what a knock-your-socks-off design. Two years ago we moved into a new build neighborhood where our backyard was a blank slate. Having done a backyard renovation before, we knew the value of good design and the level of decision-making involved in such an undertaking.

We spent a fair amount of time researching landscape design teams in Denver to find a team that would be creative in their ideas and thoughtful in their approach to phasing, contractor selection, plant selection and more. Enter: Ivy Street Design.

Our Ivy Street team (Edgar and Kelsey) delivered on our needs in so many ways: they created a comprehensive set of drawings and estimates, iterating several times based on cost and evolving preferences as we sat with their ideas; they went further to create a video fly-through of their design (we loved it - it brought all of their ideas to life and was a first-of-its-kind approach for them); they created a comprehensive plant look-book to help us visualize their list of recommendations (minor nit: if this could have had growing zones/watering needs/plant sizes/winter trimming and care instructions vs. just pictures, it would have saved me hours of doing that research myself); they provided 3 contractor recommendations, which led us to a contractor that was truly top of his class with regard to timing / budget / scope; when it came time to install the hard scapes they were out at our site regularly checking on progress and talking through any iterations needed; and on planting day they were here all day long working alongside our contractor to individually position every plant and tree to ensure the design did indeed come to life.

The team at Ivy Street design were such a pleasure to work with! We did a full gut renovation of our back and front yard with them. Kelsey and Nina did a fantastic job listening to what we were looking for in each space and came back to us with two excellent options for both spaces. They were able to incorporate all of our wants and brought other unique ideas to the table that we had not previously thought of. They were hands on throughout the entire project, and were patient and understanding while we worked with them through our design choices, guiding us along the way. They were attentive and present during the entire construction phase and had a great working relationship with our contractor.
