We have used Nick and Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living for several projects. We are always amazed by their promptness, professionalism and most of all the quality of work! We would not use anyone else for landscaping projects!

Roque and company worked on a patio extension for us, blending concrete and stone. He and his team were great to work with. Fair, lots of attention to detail. They were flexible with some last minute changes we had. Highly recommended.

Great team of hard workers who work well as a coordinated team. Efficient use of staff and machines. Always on time and often worked late regardless of inclement weather. Cleaned up and left things tidy every day.

As someone who has high standards for work done on our home, I could not let this opportunity pass to share my experience with Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living. We had a paver driveway installed in August 2019 in Highlands Ranch and the final product turned out terrific with quality workmanship and attention to detail. Our driveway is the talk of the neighborhood and certainly adds distinction to our property and home value. Thanks to everyone who provided us the detailed work we had hoped for.

Like the owner Nick’s proposal said , “We hope your project is completed in a way that surpasses your expectations.” Indeed it was and we were very pleased with the outcome which was done in a most skilled and timely manner . Clean up was done daily and the crew was very efficient. Therefore we highly recommend this company for any outdoor projects.

Great detail of the plan to completely transform our backyard. Costs were detailed and on target when project was complete. There was constant communication from our crew leader and the crew itself. Very impressed and recommend to anyone looking to do work on their backyard or outdoor space.

After multiple promises for a project proposal three weeks after coming to the house, I still do not have a bid. At two weeks out I received a voicemail apologizing for the delay and a promise for a proposal the next day. Nothing.
Can you imagine what doing project with them would be like if you can’t even get a proposal?

I’m sitting in our spa/pool as I write this review. RMOL has built a staycation destination in our backyard. A space was transformed from out of control grasses/weeds to a family paradise. RMOL was the perfect choice for our project. They not only designed our ideal space but also generated a video so we knew exactly what our completed project would be. Their craftsmanship is second to none and their customer service is what we’d like all companies to have. We were in a time crunch in the middle of winter and they were able to deliver. Our east coast family was able to enjoy our patio/pool as we had hoped. I look forward to the gatherings, the relaxation, and the many conversations that will take place in this very special space. I highly recommend RMOL to build your dream space.

We had a very large scale project and this team did a beautiful job! I'm very happy I went with this company. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because their timeline was VERY off. However the quality of the work was great and the price was right.

This may be a long review however, their reviews helped me decide to do business with RMOL. To start, from beginning to end they stood by their work. When looking for someone to do a decent size job I wanted to do my homework. I came across RMOL when we decided to replace our deck I contacted RMOL and Avery showed up and let me know they do ALL back yard projects from grading, sprinklers, decks and sod. I had another company come out and they started a 2 phase project. I wish I would have had RMOL come see the whole scope of work before I decided to go with another company. The other company work was not the work we were looking for. RMOL was always up front and confident they could do this scope of work with no issues. They knocked it out of the park!! From beginning to end the workers were very polite, nice and showed up! I'm a very particular person who only wants work done right, look good and functional. They finished the work when they said they would with no extra haggling or expense. I would 100% recommend RMOL for any landscape project. JOB WELL DONE GUYS!

I had very strong opinions of what I wanted for our backyard landscaping & after sharing them with Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living (+ some inspo pics) they came back with a beautiful design & 3D rendering! We phased out our project and after the first phase, I can truly say that I loveeeee our yard (and we still have more we want to add)! A lot of our neighbors are already pulling weeds out of their rock but we had none! They really care about the quality and even repoured our concrete due to the concrete having super small cracks in it. They have been awesome to work with and we plan on finishing out our backyard and start talking redoing our front yard with them! Highly recommend! Though potentially on the pricey side, the quality is worth the extra money to do it right!

The Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living team was very professional on the work they provided. Nick, the owner, presented himself very well and helped me walk through the backyard design of our dreams. He truly envisioned our ideal picturesque backyard, and brought it fruition. I'd highly recommend him and his team for any outdoor project.

We met with Nick and were really impressed with him as he took the time to understand our needs and what we were trying to accomplish for our project. We have a new build and ended up hiring Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living to fully landscape our backyard, add an irrigation and drip system, install a walkway from the driveway to the back patio and extend our driveway.

Nick also made some recommendations we never thought about. One example was the driveway extension. We originally only thought about using concrete however Nick showed us an option using paver bricks and we're glad he did as they added some style to the driveway and the front of the house.

Overall, we're extremely pleased with the work as the project went really well and exceeded our expectations. Communication and coordination was excellent and the project was completed in the time they said it would take.

We would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living and we'll definitely use them again.

We hired RMOL to design and build out backyard on our new build home. everyone we worked with was very professional and they stand behind the work they do. they create deadlines and communicate with you which was very important for us. we were very pleased with the experience working with them.

Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living (Nick - owner) worked with us to design our new backyard. We started with a dirt backyard at a new build home. His crew worked hard building us a new retaining wall, installing a sprinkler system, hauling rock, boulders, trees, bushes, soil, and sod. Not an easy task at all! They worked hard and were only delayed by uncooperative weather. We also had a large concrete patio, walkway, and a fire pit patio poured and installed. The concrete company that Nick hired was wonderful also! This company is top notch!! We absolutely love, love, love our new backyard outdoor living spaces! We highly recommend this company!

RMOL completed a major outdoor project for us in 2022 which included a covered deck and fireplace, and a patio with firepit. When we discovered in early 2024 that the fireplace no longer worked after 1 year of use due to accidental incorrect installation, they willingly accepted responsibility and reimbursed us for the replacement costs. Jeremy was a talented carpenter during our project and now a manager. He responded quickly to our concerns and followed up with communication until we received the reimbursement. We are very appreciative that we worked with a company that takes responsibility for a job well done long after the immediate finish date! Bravo RMOL and particular thanks to Jeremy and Nick, the owner.

Do not hesitate one iota to use Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living. I used Nick and his team to do a complete gutting and rebuild of my back yard that comprised of landscaping, patio, deck, and walkway. When people say you get what you pay for, it's usually with a negative connotation. In my case, I got what I paid for and a whole lot more.
Throughout the project, I was continually impressed by how meticulous each of the landscape and deck crews were. You could tell they take exceptional pride in their work and are true craftsmen.
In addition to the exceptional work, the crews were respectful, hard-working, and a joy to work with. They were very responsive to making changes and getting input from us on the project.
One of the main reasons for going with RMOL is that Nick was willing to work within my cash flow situation. I explained to him, in the beginning, when I would have cash and how much. This worked out very well for me.
I will be using Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living when I look to redo my front yard sometime next year.

I have used Nick's team twice now for my landscaping phasing. I have been very happy with the service and quality of their work both times. They are very professional and efficient. After the install, they cleaned up everything and my backyard looks great. I know Nick's team does a lot of the yards in our neighborhood and they are always the ones that look the best.
