We didn't opt for the $13k price tag our home builder would have charged us for A/C, so after we closed, we began to look for options. After several referrals, I contacted Sensible. Dan, Stephen, Jo, and Erika all teamed up to quote a better unit than the home builder would have provided (at less than half the cost), got me on the calendar way faster than I was expecting, and installed the unit in record time, with zero inconvenience. The house is now nice and cold, just in time for Denver's 90 degree+ days. The experience was easy and I would refer them to anyone looking for any type of work to be done.

Dan and Family are the very best of the best. Response time in an emergency (we had one) was as long as it took Dan to get to our home. Response time for a non-emergency (different home) was almost as quick! An estimate is always given prior to any repair, and usually the estimate is to the penny correct, or LESS!

When Dan, his son, or one of his crew members comes to your home to fix something, the repair person is always on time, and that something to be fixed is FIXED THE FIRST TIME!

Sensible heating and Cooling pricing structure is more than reasonable. Sensible Heating and Cooling cares about your having heat or a/c and works with you to accommodate economic issues.

As for calling the office, Joann is more than kind and understanding! She searches for a way to get a service person to your home (or business) sometimes scheduling people after hours. Every person's priority is her emergency,

Aaron Small came out in less than an hour and was able to fix our issue. Was very nice and gave great info & tips. We didn’t feel pressured into anything. Our geothermal cooling system went out just as temperatures in Denver were hitting the high 90's. Tried to reach the company that installed our system 6 years ago and the earliest they could get here was in 6 weeks. Called Sensible Heating and Cooling and was able to get an appointment scheduled in just 2 days! Dan got here on time and what a joy to find out that he really knew what he was doing. He accurately diagnosed the problem, got it fixed, and had us up and running again in just a couple of hours. Really fair pricing and a really good guy. We've signed up for the Sensible maintenance plan which is just 15 bucks a month and helps to ensure the system is well-maintained and in top operating condition. Thanks, Dan!

Have to say I’m extremely impressed with this HVAC company. My last two appointments with Sensible Heating provided next day service for non-emergency problems. Great to have such quick service. The first appointment was for an annual furnace check for my two furnaces. Anthony, the service person, was thorough and kind. Pricing was very fair. The second service call was for repair of our home humidifiers. Again, Anthony was our service person and through his patient troubleshooting of both units, one had an electrical power issue and the other a programming issue, he got the humidifiers up and running. It’s wonderful to know that there are honorable company’s with dedicated employees doing great work.

Our furnace decided to die on the coldest night of negative temps. We called another company for emergency services but should’ve just waited for Sensible the next day. We had used them previously to replace a blower motor and they are honest, well-priced HVAC services. Luckily, they were able to come out same day right before the holidays to save the day and help where the other company just gave us a ridiculously high priced estimate to replace our system. Ivan came out and was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. He knows his craft and actually cares. He took the time to get us back up and running at a reasonable price. This is the only HVAC company we will trust now!

Sensible installed a heat pump system on my high efficiency furnace earlier this fall and left the funace in place as a backup for extreme low temps below zero. Great installation and control work. Our energy bill for the coldest month of December/January just arrive and I am about 1/3 of what my neighbors and friends bills. This is amazing.

My neighbor recommended Sensible when I asked her who she used for her HVAC work. Eric was knowledgeable and super friendly. I ended up getting a yearly service contract.

Thank you for the quick and friendly service. Our AC went out and Eric came the next day, found the problem immediately and got us up and going. Highly recommend. We also had them install a furnace & humidifier a few years ago, that went well too.

Our history with Dan goes back to when he began his career working as a technician. We have used him for our heating and cooling needs exclusively, since he began his own business. We have two homes that he takes care of the heating and cooling at. He is honest, thorough, professional and very respectful of our homes. The Service Contract he offers is very helpful to homeowners. His long time experience and expertise in the business is incomparable! He explains the issues, provides detailed estimates and is very timely in completing service appointments, repairs and installations. We have complete confidence and trust in Dan. We highly recommend him as a person with great character and honesty.

The team at Sensible Heating and Cooling were the most timely and efficient HVAC business I have ever worked with. The quote given was honored and the work completed was done in a professional and timely manner, Aaron covered all my personal belongings so that items weren't damaged do to the additional work needed to install my new furnace. Aaron came in a flash when I called Erika at Sensible Heating and Cooling and said our renters just told us the heat wasn't working on a VERY cold winter day last week.....YIKES!!!

This beloved family home has been with us since Great Aunt Irma built it in 1942, and carries a lot of cherished memories. It has a boiler system and not many places really know how to handle this fabulous type of system. We rent our home on a very selective basis, and want to make sure our tenants are well taken care of.

So of course this heating crisis happened just months after our repair and maintenance man we've relied on for DECADES retired and moved to Arizona. Starting over isn't easy when in a crisis!

Fortunately I was referred to Sensible Heating and Cooling by another friend in that part of Denver. (I think I owe her dinner for that great favor!)
The repair was FAST, SUCCESSFUL and REASONABLE. I have never felt so well taken care of in my life!

Other vendors might have charged an arm and a leg to an out-of-town landlord like me, knowing I was totally over a barrel in this emergency. But Sensible Heating and Cooling lived up to their name, and were totally honorable in all possible ways.

Today I just bought an annual contract with them for yearly preventative maintenance checks of our boiler system, which Aaron will most capably implement.

To me, the Sensible Heating and Cooling motto could be, "A friend in need, is a friend INDEED!" Thanks Erika and Aaron. :) :) :)

My experience working with Sensible Heating and Cooling was great! Neil was able to answer any and all questions I had and help me figure out the right HVAC system for the size of my house and my needs. Then on the days of the install Frank, Jared, and Zach were all timely, courteous, and friendly and answered any questions I had as well as asking my opinion on things like the outdoor units placement and making sure it was in an ok spot on my patio to be out of my way. I'd happily recommend Sensible to anyone looking an HVAC company!

I have been coming to these guys for years and two different houses. There is no one better at trouble shoot an existing HVAC system. If I ever get to set up a new HVAC system Sensible Heating is the first call I will make!

Aaron Small repaired my manual fan in the HVAC system. He corrected wiring issues and left with it working as I wished. I have received spring and fall tune-ups from Sensible Heating and Cooling for my furnace and central air unit for several years. Scheduling appointments with Erika is a breeze, and I receive confirmation notices via email and a phone call when the technician is on the way. I like very much supporting a small business for my maintenance needs, and it is easy to love Sensible Heating and Cooling.

We called Sensible Heating and Cooling, along with several other companies, to provide an estimate to replace our air conditioning unit. They were by far the fastest responding company and easily provided the best quote. They also offered replacement before the other companies could, which is quite a deal breaker when your air conditioning breaks mid summer. Phil came to the house to provide the estimate and was able to fully explain everything to us. We decided to replace our furnace as well since it was at the end of life and he was able to secure several rebates, bringing down the overall cost substantially. They showed up on time, were very professional, and left me with zero reservations when leaving them in the house to run errands and pick up the kids. They cleaned up their messes and made sure we understood our system prior to leaving. The best part was their customer service. I had joked with Phil that obviously he sees people at rough times in their life so he should bring ice cream when he makes house visits since their homes are sure to feel miserable. A couple weeks later, we received a gift card for Coldstone in the mail! This company is the best. I would highly recommend.

Sensible installed my furnace & AC unit in 2012. When l called When my furnace quit working they were out the next day. They repaired the furnace and the cost was reasonable. I highly recommend this company!

Competitive pricing and wonderful, fast service. Would strongly recommend Dan and Sensible Heating and Cooling for high efficiency Furnace and AC installs.
I spent a few months shopping around for a new Furnace & AC and was set to go with another vendor for a very small pricing advantage due to manufacturers rebates on the equipment. With the other vendor I had 4 weeks of scheduling conflicts and miscommunication about the availability of the equipment rebate which negated any pricing advantage, I called Allie at Sensible and she had Dan out to give another quote and finish the install in 3 days. They left the work area cleaner than when they arrived and kept noise to a minimum.

Sensible Heating & Cooling was an absolute pleasure to work with! I got two additional estimates from other HVAC companies and was not impressed. Neither company was confident that they could get the job done. I had a new modulating furnace, modulating A/C, communicating thermostat, new high performance air cleaner/filter, steam humidifier, AND tankless water heater installed. Some of it had to be retrofitted and it was done in a small space. It was a complicated job and took 5 days to complete, but it was well worth it! Phil, Neil, Devon, and Preston were friendly and respectful of our home when work was being done. They are great guys! Jo, Erika, and Stephen were also great to work with! I could not be more happy with the work that has been done. I would highly recommend them!

We had a very complicated issue with our 19 year old geothermal system. Aaron is a highly intelligent technician who thinks outside the box. He was persistent in finding a solution for us rather than having to (very expensively) replace the whole system. We could not ask for a better, more service-oriented person to work with. We lack enough positive words to describe how highly we recommend Aaron and Sensible Heating!!!!!!!
