I can not recommend Sensible Heating enough. They spent many months working with us on our new house and the HVAC system works perfectly.
Dan designed a very complicated geothermal heating system and laid the tubing during a blizzard just so our project would not be delayed. When all other contractors did not work, Dan was there.
Phil, Aaron, Neil and Eric were great to work with, extremely professional, straight forward, honest and pleasant to talk to.
Of the dozen companies we worked with the build our house, Sensible was by far the best to work with.

Eric was professional, informed and great to work with. Did great at trouble-shooting our hot water heating problems and worked with tank manufacturer on warranty coverage.

Liked working with Eric so much that i signed up for yearly furnace maintenance with him next week.

Would highly recommended this small business for any hvac/geothermal needs.

Aaron spoke to me on the phone and i told him what the blinking lights on the furnace were showing. he was able to replace the broken blower motor in an hour. had the correct part on his truck and because we have a service agreement also received a 15% discount which was great news. i highly recommend sensible heating. great service and great prices. very responsive.

I wound up needing the works with a new AC and furnace. Wasn't looking for anything special, just a fair price and good installation. Got both. Would highly recommend. Great response time and customer service!

I've used Sensible Heating and Cooling for several years now, including installation of our evaporative cooler. I have a service plan that includes yearly start-up and shut-down of the cooler, furnace inspection and maintenance, and water heater inspection. Service is usually done by either Aaron or Eric. Both are knowledgeable, efficient, respectful of property, and never try to sell us something we don't need. This is a well-run company that I highly recommend for maintenance and new installations.

Low pressure, high service. For our furnace replacement with new AC they solved a piping problem that other reputable vendors would not try. Estimator and part-owner Phil is informative and responsive. He came out twice during the install. Installers were sharp and hard-working. Walter was willing to answer any question about what they were doing, how things worked, or how to operate and maintain the equipment. They include permitting, and rebate processing in their quite reasonable price. These folks seem to enjoy their work and care about how it comes out. A great value.

We had an awesome experience with Sensible Heating! They were able to squeeze us in for same day service which was surprising! The tech arrived and reviewed the thermostat issue with me. He solved that thermostat issue and then noticed a problem I didn't know we had--the system was short-cycling because the furnace was getting too hot. He sped the fan up and the issue was resolved. Devon was friendly and professional and didn't stop until the issue was solved. Thanks!

We hadn't been in our new house long when the air conditioner conked out on the hottest day of summer. The company we called to repair it recommended we look at replacing it if the repair didn't last, and casually mentioned a ballpark cost. Off he went but we never heard back from their sales office or anyone. A contractor we trust and use for everything referred us to Sensible, and we ended up getting a great new unit. It was kind of expensive but Phil took his time and was at our house twice to take careful measurements and recommend the right size machine for our space and layout. The old machine didn't cool the upstairs well so Phil addressed that and explained how technology has changed since our old unit was put in, especially in efficiency in how they run. Install was on time, professional and courteous! Erika even coordinated the required inspection, super easy for us! We're happy with the experience and would recommend Sensible to anyone who needs a new AC...Plus it runs a lot quieter, bonus!

Best in industry — team, installation and product.

I was looking for a team that really knew their stuff and cared about each project as if it were in their own home. With that in mind, the team at Sensible exceeded my expectations.

I selected a mid-range, 2 stage heat, 2 stage AC, Bryant system; comparing other top-rated brands and their associated, local installers. The Sales Pro did more to earn my trust than the competition, and a Carrier brand looked/sounded good after weeks of product analysis on the web, talking to neighbors and friends…mulling it over.

When installation day came, two professionals with extensive industry knowledge, decades of experience, standout courtesy and unusual attention to detail, installed/retrofitted the new Bryant system in our 23 year old home. The Ops Manager came himself to ensure a timely delivery during a hot summer — hot for Denver at least. They ensured my very clean home stayed very clean and left the HVAC closet and plumbing in top shape. I am picky, fastidious, politely called “detail-oriented”. Turns out these guys are equally picky.

I researched for days before selecting the Bryant brand and Sensible. I feel fortunate. I hit the jackpot for HVAC professionals.

When I called they scheduled an appointment quickly with the technician who has been here in the past. Aaron was right on time, in fact called and asked if he could come early as was ahead of schedule. He is very knowledgeable about our geothermal/heat pump system and does a through check up on it. He always comes up and explains everything. Great to deal with! Reasonable prices too! Love this company!

Both Frank and Devan did a wonderful job on my boiler. I am always very happy with Sensible Heating and I only call them when I have a heating problem.

As always Sensible Heating and Cooling did a GREAT job. It was Eric this time and He knocked it out of the park. I would NEVER use any other Heating & cooling company. I had a new roof put on and unfortunately the roofers messed up my boiler. It could have been really, really bad, but Eric caught the problem right away. As always Sensible was all over it. They even sent out space heaters in case I needed heat before they got the part and fixed my boiler. Sensible Heating and Cooling are the very best!!!

It is a pleasure working with Sensible Heating and Cooling. We had emergency furnace work done by a company that we believe overcharged us and has a price match guarantee. After explaining the situation, Neil took time out of his day to give us a comparison quote. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and provided us with a very detailed quote within a few hours. We will definitely being using Sensible for all of our heating and cooling needs in the future!

Zach was very thorough and eventually caused the system to demonstrate the symptoms I had described. He determined the blower motor needed replacement. It is a very old furnace and Zach made all the contacts to do a "first" for him in replacing a motor with two drive shafts. He kept me informed throughout the repair and got the system back up and running. Very professional and engaging.

Adding my two cents after using Sensible Heating and Cooling for a new AC install. I was also curious about a "heat pump" and asked for quotes on this as well. My review: (1) The company responded to my request for a quote very quickly. (2) Ronnie came out the next day and reviewed my AC, providing helpful answers to all my questions about the existing unit. Ronnie provided information on a "Heat Pump" and knew exactly which rebates were available. (3) Ronnie is a really good guy and at no point did I feel pressured by him. A couple hours later, I received quotes for both a Heat Pump and an Air Conditioner. I went with the Air Conditioner. (4) The next day I was provided with an installation date. (5) On the day of installation, Frank and his team arrived right on time. As with Ronnie, Frank and his team are really good guys. (6) The install went smoothly, and all my questions were answered. (7) Frank made sure I was aware of everything they were doing and brought everything up to "code". (8) Frank went above and beyond and adjusted my furnace so I could use a larger air filter. (9) Frank provided an in-depth walk around of the install, explaining what they did and answering all my questions. (10) Frank and his team cleaned up everything and it looked like they had never been there, except for the awesome new AC unit they installed. You will have no worries with the job these experts perform.

After we lost our dream house in the Marshall fire we looked for a geothermal company that would be willing to tie into our existing system. Sensible was the only company that was willing to work with us to use some of our existing system so that we could afford to rebuild. Ours was a special situation and they were great to work with. They followed through with every issue we had and we are extremely happy with the result. A very thorough and professional team. We highly recommend!

I recommend Sensible heating! They were a great bunch! Everyone was wonderful. Frank did an amazing install and educated us about the system after. We had them replace our AC. Erika was great with scheduling and helping us with the inspection too. Justin was a great salesman and helped us pick the right unit for our home. Everyone was friendly and great to work with.

Very happy with our experience with Sensible Heating and Cooling! From start to finish they were so easy to work with, and we really felt like we were being taken care of by real people who care about their work, not just a business out to make money. We first interacted with them when we were investigating cooling options for our home, and they actually helped us find a different company that was a better fit for our needs and budget, which really impressed us. Remembering our positive experience from before, we contacted them to do some yearly maintenance on our heater, and they discovered a heck of a lot of corrosion and other safety issues we were unaware of. They're honest folks - the technician who came out didn't charge us for that service, since the service ended up being him disconnecting the heater for safety reasons! We contacted multiple companies for quotes on a new heater, and after evaluating all our options, we went with Sensible. Their proposals fit our budget and needs, and they proved themselves trustworthy and easy to work with several times over. They did a good job of laying out the options and answering all of our questions, and worked with us to get the new heater installed JUST IN TIME for the first real cold snap of the year! They even came by with some space heaters to The new heater is working great and we are comfy and cozy, and we feel confident they'll be able to help us if any issues do arise. Highly recommended!

Sensible worked on one of our rental properties and was fair, reliable and on time. Excellent company, I highly recommend
them and will be using them again in the near future.

Had a mini-split that did not seem to work correctly. Had 2 different vendors in and Andrew from Sensible Heating came in serviced the unit got it working properly and helped me understand all the great features that noone in the past provided. These guys are great.

We had new air conditioning system installed at our home in the Spring of 2025, and everything was fantastic. Competitive pricing, friendly customer service, and professional installation. The AC worked wonderfully throughout the summer.

Sensible Heating & Cooling installed a new Ground Source Heat Pump and coordinated with Colorado Geothermal for the exterior piping. They were very professional, knowledgeable, good communicators, and did excellent installation work and follow-up.
