Purchased and had installed a pellet stove in August. We, of course, had no reason to use it before now. Install went well, everything went fine. Very professional. Well, now that we are using it with the cold weather coming in, come to find out they did not include a room sensor, so we can actually see the temperature in our room. Our previous pellet stove included one, so you would assume a stove that is used for heating a house would include one. When we called to inquire about it, we were told the owner of the store thought it was a waste of money, so it was not included or installed even though when you go online to view the tutorial it is included. There is a sensor on the actual stove to view the temperature on the stove, but of course, that’s where the actual fire is coming out of, so the heat is going to be different than the actual room temperature. Although, we love the actual pellet stove, that is a very shady, unprofessional, and dishonest way to treat a customer and their excuse is terrible. I’m sure there are more reputable and honest companies out there.

Thank you for responding to my review. I am aware that you are responding to this review while not having any actual interaction with us and I do appreciate that very much. While we are happy with the pellet stove and the installation, you are mistaken with any explanation of the room sensor when we were in the showroom purchasing the stove. Brian, who sold us the last pellet stove model and the only salesperson in the store at the time did not mention a room sensor at all. Sensors were never even discussed. The only other person who we interacted with in the store was the scheduling woman, who scheduled the installation. We had no conversation with her about the actual unit specifications or operations. If Brian had mentioned this, this would be a non- issue as we would have purchased it already knowing it was an extra expense. It was the last and only display model available for pellet stoves and Brian was quite happy that we came in and purchased it as your company is no longer selling pellet stoves ( at least that is what he told us). While my review may seem harsh, I’m not sure why we would not have a room sensor included with the unit, after all, how can you accurately and properly measure room temperature without a sensor? That should be an obvious necessity when having a main heating element installed in any home and it should be up to the home owner to decide if it is a necessity or not, not the seller of the equipment. Perhaps your sales personnel need to be better versed in specifications and operations of the products they are selling and are more forthcoming on what is and is not included.

During the course of working on the repairs to our chimney, the Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney professionals ran into several unexpected problems. These problems made it necessary to utilize more workers, spend more time and obtain more equipment than had been originally anticipated. Jake, the owner, worked with us to iron out how the problems would be addressed. We were impressed with Jake's integrity & creativity in dealing with the problems. He made sure that enough resources and time were spent in order to get the job done to our satisfaction.

All of the Mountain Man employees who worked on our project were dedicated, hard-working, friendly folks who endured extreme weather conditions while working from ladders and scaffolding in order to get the job done. We were impressed with the office staff with whom we interacted, as well. They were very cooperative, friendly and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney. It is a reputable company. They stand behind their work.

Our technicians Dillon and Kyle were prompt,friendly, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job! We couldn’t have asked for more. We bought our wood stove from this business in 2008 and have had excellent service every time we’ve had them out. I would highly recommend this company!

We've used Mountain man fireplace and chimney for years to repair and maintain our wood stove but last year added the dryer vent cleaning to our annual maintenance schedule. They are always on time, professional and friendly in addition to being very knowledgeable about their work. I highly recommend them!

Nick and Trevor were a pleasure to have here this morning installing my new gas fireplace. The fireplace looks nice in the family room and it warms the house well. They did a great job and were very pleasant people to have here this morning as well. I highly recommend this company-these folks have been super to work with every step of the way. I have been using Mountain Man for almost twenty years. I have had them do major and minor work on both my gas and wood-burning stoves. They have always been professional and do high quality work. Reana is always friendly and highly responsive when setting up appointments. Recently I had Pierce do maintenance on a gas fireplace and he was very knowledgeable about gas fireplaces and took the time to explain how it works and covered other safety pre-cautions that I was not aware of. Even though my gas fireplace is really old, he didn’t pressure me to upgrade as it still has 5+ years of life left. Mountain Man is a trust worthy business that takes pride in their high quality work performed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend them for your fireplace needs.

Cliff and Jeanine were just at my home and they were super clean and professional! Had a scheduling issue but their customer service was super kind and was able to work it out quickly! Overall super happy with them and will use them again in the future!

We called Mountain Man Fireplace to clean and inspect our woodstove when we bought our house based on a recommendation from my cousin. We knew the old woodstove was in pretty bad shape and they went over all the issues they found and were very helpful in finding the right replacement for our home. The installation just took a few hours and we were so impressed with their professionalism. This was the first time we’ve worked with Mountain Man, and they’ve been AMAZING! Reana (admin) was so incredibly helpful when I called to inquire about their services, helping me start to diagnose what the issue might have been with our pellet stove over the phone. Dylan and Jeremy (technicians) arrived on time for our scheduled appointment and were so knowledgeable, quick, and respectful. They took the time to answer all of my questions and make sure I felt comfortable with the operation of our stove before leaving. We will definitely be using Mountain Man for all of our stove, chimney and fireplace needs in the future!

I've been using Mountain Man for years for yearly cleaning and general maintenance of my wood stove. Their service has been nothing less than amazing. We recently purchased our first home which includes our first wood burning fireplace. We scheduled an inspection and chimney cleaning to insure it was safe and ready for Winter. Reana showed up early, was professional, courteous, honest, super informative, and overall delightful. After the inspection, she let us know we didn't need the chimney cleaning, which saved us some money. She also happily answered all of our beginner (dumb) questions. Also did a great job on our dryer vent while they were out. I'm now confident the only fires in our home will be in the fireplace. Looking forward to my cleaning/inspection next year and recommending Mountain Man to everyone I know with a fireplace.

We cannot recommend this company enough! Pierce and Dylan were extremely professional, punctual, friendly and kind. We had several problems with our wood-burning stove and really felt taken care of. They were thorough, explaining how to best use our stoves and we feel prepared going into our first winter in Evergreen! Thanks again - we will definitely be using you in the future.

I've been using this company for approximately 13 years. They have never missed an appointment, always on time too. They've come out in an emergency also. They inspect all aspects of my wood stove which is my primary source of heat, so it's important to me they cover everything. Their prices are reasonable. The techs also like the 60s music I play! I highly recommend them.

Great service with knowledgeable professionals. Cameron came out for an inspection /cleaning and provided great feedback and advice for moving forward - not to mention very friendly and respectful of our home. Confirmed multiple times that our pets wouldn't try to escape while he moved in and out of the front door. We'll be using Mountain Hearth & Patio for our wood burning insert.

Easy and pleasant experience from start to finish. I was scheduled quickly and a team arrived right on time. We had repairs needed on our chimney and went to Mountain Man Fireplace & Chimney. Everyone was very respectful starting with Reana who scheduled our work as well as followed up with us once complete. Jed, Cameron & Bruce repair technicians who were also very respectful and courteous while at my home. Work was completed as scheduled in one day and actually several hours earlier than expected. No cleanup was left for us to do, it was all done by the crew that showed up to our home. All questions we had were answered professionally and in great detail by Jed. We will use this company in the future for additional needs we have and absolutely recommend them to others.

My husband and I recently bought a house in Evergreen and had Mountain Man come out to do their first annual inspection and sweep. Cliff and David were really wonderful to work with and I felt so much better after their visit. They spent the time to explain what they were going to do and they walked me through their inspection to help me understand how everything went after they were done.

Also, I have an anxious dog who is a big sweetheart but tends to bark when strangers arrived, and they took the time to give him a few treats and lower his anxiety, which was a huge bonus.
