    High Bar Arborist Services was the best price, and safely climbed the dead aspen tree in the backyard that couldn’t be felled. As it was very close to the house and garage.     There are very few people who exhibit such joy in their work as Colin. Over two days he and his assistant took down two dead and hazardous aspens and the more dangerous and labor-intensive job of trimming our 100yo cottonwood. This latter tree is in our backyard without access for large equipment. I called three arborists to come give me an estimate and I am so glad Colin came first. He was able to come give me my estimate and fo the entire job within a week, and his price was beyond reasonable. I did not have them do any cleanup as we use the wood all year for heating and outdoor cooking, which made for a big discount. He had to climb all over the cottonwood with his gear to trim it up, which he said was the most fun he'd had all week. This contrasts drastically with Sav A Tree, whose receptionist quoted me a minimum of $4k, and who was really angry when I described the work I needed done. The contrast of both prices and attitude between Colin and the corporate chain cannot be overstated. They treated my trees, property, me, and my flock of chickens and ducks with a level of care and consideration practically unheard of in today's unfriendly business world. A right peach of a fellow, I recommend him hands down over any other arborist I have ever worked with. He has a real feel for trees, a real-life Lorax for the Carbon Valley and surrounds.

    Colin drove to Idaho in February, he rigged up in climbing gear, climbed snowy slippery trunks and branches, and pruned many crossed twigs and branches, thinned, and reshaped three deciduous shade trees while they were dormant. The trees look so much better, they are balanced, rather than leaning with the wind, snow storms. He hauled debris to slash pile for winter, and raked small debris. Very professional and experienced. Job well done. Very pleasant personality.
