Constraction reviews in Henderson, Colorado

Rafael, the owner of JS Landscaping, is extremely professional and his company does quality work at a reasonable price. What I was most impressed with is their work ethic. Not only do they show up when they say they will be there but everyone on this team works hard and they clean up every day they have been here. The finished product is immaculate and professionally done. I would recommend them highly for any landscaping work.

Rafael and his crew from JS Landscaping LLC did a great job on my sod and sprinkler system install! I was anxious co-ordinating landscaping with a concrete project on my property that was already scheduled, but Rafael assured me that the two could be done together, and that his work would be done correctly and efficiently along with the other, and it WAS! I now have a beautiful new lawn and irrigation system that works perfectly. He and his crew were extremely hard working and considerate of my property, cleaning up very well at the end of the each day. Rafael always communicated with me in a timely manner, and listened and executed what I wanted done each step of the way . Thank you Rafael and crew for a job well done! I will gladly recommend you to others.

Rafael and his team did an amazing job completely transforming my yard, which was overgrown and in disrepair after 40+ years. This was a large job, basically stripping my entire yard back to soil, removing rock groundcover, and demoing railroad tie retaining walls. They then replaced the entire irrigation system, ran downspout drainage lines, re-graded, installed block retaining walls on both sides of the house and along the back property line, installed stone stairs and crushed rock walkways, rebuilt my brick patio, rebuilt garden-block planters, built raised vegetable garden beds, and re-planted/mulched the entire yard.

Throughout the entire process I was kept up to date on what was being done, what had been done, and what was next to come. The entire team worked hard through quite a rainy season to keep the project moving along, and Rafael was great at communicating when the unforeseen surfaced (house was built in the '70s, so plenty of large trees/roots and oddities).

Multiple neighbors commented on how respectful the team was and noted how well they made sure to clean up, every single day. High level of professionalism. I also had other contractors pouring concrete and installing fencing during the project, and Rafael/JS was very accommodating with timing things to not interfere with each other.

Rafael and his company did an outstanding, cost effective, high quality project with great planning, proactive & ongoing communications and construction, without a nickle and dime approach. Plus he was a nice guy and his team was hard working, punctual, and cleaned up daily.

I had Rafael and his crew come out to landscape/hardscape my small townhouse patio. It went from being a mud pit to a beautiful, useable space with flagstones, ground-level planting space and a raised planter bed. They moved a fence out slightly and made planter boxes to hang on the fence. They were able to work around the winter weather to get it done quickly. Rafael asked for my input continuously to ensure it was what I wanted. Very happy with how it turned out.

I would give Rafael and his crew 10 stars if i could!!! If you have high standards for your landscaping look no further. They are prompt and professional. They took the side of our yard that was unusable and turned it into a great raised garden bed complete with drip irrigation for the vegetables. They also replaced a stubborn fence post for me.
Definitely would recommend and will definitely use them in the future!!!

JS Landscaping does excellent work and its owner has an excellent approach to his work as well as the highest integrity. I contracted with JS because of their experience with difficult terrain and drainage. They designed and installed a stormwater drainage system, a long concrete walkway and a retaining wall that made our rear and side yards attractive and functional.

I am very cautious in hiring contractors because I have been involved with construction and contractors for over fifty years and I am aware of some of the pitfalls to avoid. Rafael S, the owner shares my approach and values and so I will refer him to my neighbors. Rafael's men arrive on time, work hard and leave the work site neat and clean each day. Rafael has a great talent for design and he is proud of his reputation and work.

It's been a pleasure to work with Rafael and his men on the two projects at our home.

JS Landscaping did an outstanding job bringing my grass back to life, transforming my yard into a lush, green space I can finally enjoy again. Their attention to detail and expertise really showed in the way they revitalized the lawn, making it look healthier than ever. On top of that, they added beautiful shrubs that perfectly complement the landscape, giving my outdoor space a fresh and polished look. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly passionate about their work. I couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend JS Landscaping for any lawn or garden needs!

Great experience!! I really enjoyed working with Rafael and his crew. They did a fantastic job and were very professional. Rafael made sure I was more than satisfied with their work before he called the project complete. I can't say enough good things about this company. I will absolutely be calling them back out for some additional work. Thank you, Rafael!

I called Rafael and his crew for help making my side yard more usable. His quick response and quality work got this done in a matter of hours. A total of 12 cubic yards of dirt were removed, the rest was graded and leveled allowing me to use the space. Now that this is done I’m definitely going to call them again for future plans for the are which include concrete and paver work.

The entire crew at JS Landscaping LLC did a fantastic job. From the moment we contacted them, they showed up and got us a quote in a timely fashion at a good price. They showed up and started the work within a few days and....wow! Completely transformed our yard. Respectful, on-time, professional, clean, and pros at what they do. They went above and beyond on our project......certainly went the extra mile. I will be hiring these guys for our next project...no questions asked.

We engaged JS Landscaping to totally re-do the patio and side area of our townhome. This involved tearing out the old patio, removing heavily settled river rock...and replacing it all with flagstone and a finer more walkable aggregate. Rafael's team was thorough , detailed, and made sure any future settlement problems were taken care of with thorough compaction and re-leveling. The patio and side area turned out beautifully. Rafael and his team (especially Gerardo) were responsive, neat and tidy and on time. In short, they did an absolutely terrific job. i would hire them again anytime

Highly recommend these guys! I'm super picky about this kind of work, and am 100% happy with everything they did! I had a new fence and needed a rock border created between the fence and yard, as well as old bark removed/replaced with rock in its place on the side of the house and 2 sections at the front of the house. Rafael showed up for the bid when he said he would, Gerardo and his crew came on the scheduled day for the work, worked super hard to get everything done, were fine with 2 sections I added on to the job, and they didn't damage ANY flowers at all as they put in the new fabric/rock. I was expecting some sort of damage, and was shocked when every single petal was just fine when they were done. They cleaned up well and were very respectful. We will definitely be hiring them again! They are awesome!
Wish I had "before" pictures so you could see what a big difference they made, but thought I'd at least post the "after" pics.

I’ve hired JS Landscaping for two projects over the past two years. Both were for removing weeds, trees and rocks and then putting down new weed barrier and rock. The most recent project this month was removing an old chicken coop, fencing, an apple tree and waist high weeds. Rafael and his crew brought in a skidsteer to make quick work of removing old growth. Over the course of 3 days the weed-filled coop was transformed to a nice new rock RV driveway. Rafael has been responsive, easy to work with and reasonable. We will definitely hire them again!

JS Landscaping completed a fantastic backyard project including removing a lot of nasty overgrown shrubs and small trees and then brought our vision of a backyard upgrade to life!! We wanted a path to the garage and back gate, and some solution to all the mud that appears after every snow and rain. We also added some new turf and had the irrigation lines adjusted to save water!! Truly an amazing job, very professional and friendly. Check out the pictures of the completed project.

JS Landscaping did a great job of grading the yard around my house from beginning to end. Rafael was easy to contact and came at the agreed upon time for the estimate. He took the time to explain to me what he thought the yard needed and some different options. He and his crew showed up on time and were very efficient and respectful. They were able to clear the area around the house, grade it, and put rock on top of it all in just two days. They were very helpful and accommodating when they encountered some unexpected issues with the house in the course of their work.
I definitely recommend JS Landscaping for your project. They are reliable, professional, punctual, efficient, and did a great job!

Rafael and his team at JS Landscaping did a fantastic job on our landscaping project in Northwest Denver. They laid sod, installed a fully automated sprinkler system and drip line, built a wood retainer wall, fixed our unlevel pavers and planted a bunch of feather reed grasses. We also worked with his partner to put in a new fence in a few areas and the recommendation he provided was great. Now over a year later, the yard is doing very well and still looking great! I enjoyed working with Rafael as he was able to provide multiple different versions of quotes that outlined that different levels for which we could do the project as we were on a budget and he worked through all the must haves. Highly recommend.

We were desperate for a reliable landscaper after the one we had almost signed with suddenly bumped us from “next week or two” to 4 months later in November! A neighbor recommended Rafael and JS Landscaping. We called and he returned the call immediately. He was at our home the next day and gave us a bid hours later, including a promise to start the project one week later. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about various options available to us with our limited budget and large corner lot.
True to his word, he and his crew showed up the day after Labor Day. Our “yard” was more like the Sahara Desert so they had their work cut out for them. They all worked SO hard!! And, at the end of every day, everything was cleaned up and stored in space we made for them on back patio.
The final product is perfect. Rafael made sure every sprinkler station was just right.
One other thing-the crew had to go in and out of back yard a lot and we have 2 dogs (one a crazy puppy). We would do our best to make sure dogs were inside, but things happen. The crew NEVER left our back gate open. Very, very responsible.
JS Landscaping (and Rafael!) is 5 stars all the way

Rafael and his company were not only professional but hard workers! And they were fast! The guys worked long days, and the cost was reasonable and did not go over his estimate. I have recommended to ALL my neighbors!

Rafael and his crew did an amazing job with our yard. They provided a prompt quote and gave great suggestions on how to save some money with alternate materials that have held up great. They got me on the schedule fast and completed the work in under a week which included a new sprinkler system, ripping out the old yard, re-grading, installing a crusher fine path, cobble perimeter, new sod, a concrete patio, drip lines and plants. Would recommend to anyone to use. They also follow up frequently to ensure everything is working properly and growing.

Rafael and crew did an outstanding job in trimming our front yard pine bushes as well as laying sod and overall yard cleanup. They were prompt and professional and completed the work in a timely manner. Rafael worked with me to create a design that worked best and rearranged the existing sprinkler system to facilitate correct watering of the new sod. His project leader was a perfectionist and did a great job trimming the front hedges so they wouldn’t have to be removed based upon city of Aurora guidelines. All in all the job was done right and economically feasible. Will use them again when the time comes.
