I highly recommend working with Chisel on any construction project. They assisted with finishing our basement and installing a bathroom and installing a side door. They were efficient, reliable and did excellent work. They provided insights and recommendations on many details that may have been overlooked or ignored by most other construction teams. I never had any issues getting in contact with them or with them working when they said they would be. Every member of the team was a true professional.

Omg chisel construction is the best we had a big project for them and they did a beautiful job they had to gut out my building started with a empty shell and everything from the studs to the wall electrical bran knew they were so great I can’t even give enough stars to them guys I’m so happy with my shop thanks chisel construction

We worked with Chisel construction and were impressed by the quality and timely matter of our renovation. We had a complete renovation of bathroom, new heated flooring , redesign of new shower layout, tile etc …THE CHISEL TEAM worked efficient/quickly to complete each step and produced excellent work. Especially towards the end, we were supported by The owner of the company and the lead workers to make sure all details were completed to our satisfaction. For these reasons I would recommend Chisel to others considering a renovation.

We loved working with Chisel Construction. They put in a new kitchen, new flooring for our first floor, and painted everything for us. I'd definitely hire them again and I recommend them.

I have worked with Thomas at Chisel Construction on several full home remodels and they were exceptional, adhering to our Clients' wishes and vision and Thomas never has issues when we have to do a change order prompted by the Client changing their minds in the middle of a project. They are neat and prompt.

What an incredible experience. We hired Chisel to rip/replace our deck, floors, baseboards and stairwell railing systems. Everyone on the crew was professional, respectful and prompt. The project was on time and on budget. They also did exceptional work. Lastly, the family always felt safe having the crew in the house for 3 months.

Thomas & his crews did a great job on our compete home renovation. They kept us on top of what they needed, for example fixtures, paint colors, baseboards, doors, etc. to stay on schedule. They provided ideas as well & we are very happy after occupying the house for a few months. All of their crews were knowledgeable of their given trades as well as professional in dealing with us & our neighbors.
All of the Chisel team members were very timely on any followup requests we had & resolved all of the requests.

Thomas and the Chisel Construction crew were amazing to work with for building our ADU. They had great insight throughout the process and added a ton to the design and usability of the space. We are beyond thrilled with the finished product and highly recommend Chisel.

Tomas and his crew are awesome! 5years ago we had Chisel Construction build our covered patio and we were very happy with their work. When we were ready this spring to do a complete kitchen remodel we didn’t think twice, we knew we wanted to use Chisel Construction again.
Tomas hooked us up with a great kitchen designer who listened to our needs and wants for the kitchen. Along with the designer’s blueprints, Chisel Construction really worked with us on even the smallest of details.
He’s crew is very prompt, clean and organized. They started construction on time and even finished up a little earlier than planned.
You would not be disappointed in hiring Chisel Construction. We will definitely be using Tomas and his crew for our next project in the near future for a master bath and bedroom remodel.

I hired Tod and Derek to install cabinets, fabricate and install granite, re-texture my ceiling and many walls around my condo. They did a great job and made sure to correct any issues. They also gave me some painting advice and a paint discount. You can trust them to finish the job right.

Another project - Derek is a man of honor.

Resolved by Vendor - This guy cannot even follow design specs. I would not hire this company again if they were the last company available for anything. You hand him $15,000.00, in September of 2020 and late February 2021 he finally is ready to pour a retaining wall! He promises and promises and then promises and maybe one out of ten of those he ma y follow through and then only with part of the promise. Good Luck, as I am not having any with him. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DO HIRE HIM AND IF YOU DO YOU HAVE TO WATCH EVERYTHING HE DOES. EVERYTHING! Then he walks off the job and ignores my request for a refund for the work that he did not do which I paid him for.

I'm pretty sure this contractor was featured on a new HGTV TV show called Rico to the Rescue episode 1. If you watch that episode and read these comments, you'll probably realize this company has to be the same guy. He was so bad I wondered if I can find him on Google reviews. I only knew it was a GC in Denver and sure enough there was only one company that had terrible reviews. I don't know 100% if this is the same guy, but watch that episode and read these reviews. I posted this, in case it is the same person and to help others. Good luck.

If you’ve found yourself looking at these concerning reviews after Robert has started a project and he’s begun to be unresponsive or has delayed completing the task, you are probably better off cutting your losses; otherwise you should prepare yourself for a huge headache.

Robert is a present-day sweet-talking conman. He has been sued multiple times for actions directly related to his construction business practices. Just look him up. And I was forced to take him to court as well.

So much went wrong with this relatively straightforward project. I handed him an engineer’s design and asked that he build it.

At first interaction, this man will assure you that he has 40 years of experience and talk up his accomplishments. Don’t believe any of it. Once you give him the deposit for a project, he will start very quickly. After the work has been started, he will postpone work and ignore attempts to schedule work for months. Just look at the other reviewers’ complaints.

He quoted us for permitting the work done for basement repair and assured us that it was going smoothly - only for us to find out that he never pulled a permit for the work! 2 months after starting, the city found out (thankfully) and put a stop work order on the property until the proper paperwork was filed. We later learned that this man does not even have an active contracting license as he assured us that he did several times. 2 additional months later and someone else’s license on the permit, it’s finally been resolved and we are left cleaning up the mess he left behind.

When the permit situation was finally resolved, he asked me what I thought was “fair for the remaining balance", so I asked that he compensate us for lost rent due to the house being vacant for two months as a direct result of misleading us on the permit situation. He replied telling me he had to consult his attorney to determine if he is liable for my request.

I recently learned that Robert made a deal with another contractor working on this house to manage Robert’s crew in exchange for a large amount of money and he never paid that contractor either. The man has no integrity.

Hired him to remove a load bearing wall. Supposed to be 1 week in late July. Hasn't finished to date. Ignores texts and calls. Gives you 1-2 days notice for his guys to arrive and you have to scramble to fit them in. Lack of competence. Cut knob and tooth wire which he was "certain" wasn't running power. It was. Triggered a 10K electrician cost, that you have to hire and coordinate, as knob and tooth is not considered up to code and wires need to be rerun. Cut a plumbing vent pipe and was just going to cap it. Completely wrong. Now I am hiring a plumber for 2K to repair that work. Still to this date he hasn't finished the job. He will hang up on you and when you confront him. He thinks "I'm busy with other jobs" is an appropriate excuse for why 3.5 months after he said a project would be finished that it isn't. He has a lawyer on standby since it seems his incompetence, poor quality of work, lack of responsiveness are a factor. The pictures are where the project he said would be done in a week is left at 3.5 months ago. 15K project has ballooned to 30K+ project and counting. Photos below are where the work was left at. And his guys didn't clean up the dust and dirt and left their personal and demo trash at the home instead of cleaning it out.
