He took the time to explain everything he was doing and walk us through questions. There were a couple little follow ups after install and Justin came out right away to handle those. We needed emergency help when the wiring in our 1972 house started smoking. Travis came over immediately, diagnosed the problem, and we had a new Breaker Panel installed within 3 days. The communication was quick, the work done as promised and at the quoted rate, and follow ups have been responded to right away. I was looking to upgrade my electrical panel from an old Federal Pacific Electric before I got new siding. I found Interstate Electric and Solar through Yelp, and Justin came out to take a look late on a Friday afternoon. Immediately I was blown away with his knowledge and passion for safety for me and my family.

Justin and his apprentice James came out and did my panel upgrade with a new meter socket in 1 full day. I was extremely impressed with his work and willingness to explain anything and everything related to electricity. I had an electrical emergency at 8pm on a Friday night as I was preparing for an upcoming event the next day at my house.

I reached out to several 24 hr electricians and either spoke to an answering service or had to leave a message. After waiting for a return call for about an hour I called Interstate Electric and Solar who answered on my first call.

I was told Justin would be out within the hour. Sure enough Justin was at my door within the hour and fixed my issue diagnosing that a wire came free in a switch. I also asked him to repair an outlet that had been broken by my kids, he did that in a minute.

When I asked what the damage was he explained it would be $230 for everything which included their $79 after hours charge. He informed me that as the company owner while he has 5 techs he generally takes the after hours calls himself as a service to his customers.

As a side note not only did Justin come out to do the work promptly and efficiently, I received a call from another service after my Saturday event and am still waiting (on Monday) for calls back from the other service providers.

I’d recommend Justin and Interstate to anyone and in fact have passed his information on to three people since Friday night.

Justin and his apprentice (Alex I think) were on time and spent 12 hours doing a multitude of jobs which included an entire panel replacement. They were as kind, respectful, and professional at hour 12 as they were at hour 1. Justin explains everything as he goes so you know exactly what the problem is and what will be required to fix it. We didn’t even bother to get other quotes because after chatting with Justin, we knew why he came so highly recommended. Very happy with our experience and highly recommend! We are already planning some new lighting and will be loyal customers.

I would highly recommend Justin. He came out the next day and installed a new GFCI breaker and socket. Justin is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I am installing a hot water circulation pump in my basement and Justin took the time to review the specifications of the pump and make sure he was installing the appropriate breaker size and socket.

Justin is very knowledgeable and will be our go to electrician in the future. We knew when we purchased our home the panel was a mess and our house had outdated aluminum wiring. Justin and Chase took their time and upgraded our panel and changed out all our switches and outlets. It was a big job and we appreciate that they took their time. We had a bit of a scare with an outlet burning up in our home. I called Interstate Electric and Justin was on the scene in just over an hour. He diagnosed what happened, made the outlet safe until we can get proper repairs done, and provided an honest estimate on the work that would need to be done to make our electrical system safe and bring it all up to code.

Justin explained what was needed, why items were needed (safety, code, future proofing, etc), gave us choices, helped us plan for future features (like adding EV, solar, generator, etc) and answered all our questions. His team used high quality products. His team arrived on time, verified all work, and was available for followup questions. We have a warranty on their work. The work was stellar and price was competitive!

I highly recommend Interstate Electric and Solar. After experiencing a power outage in our kitchen, they came out over the weekend (no extra weekend charges), checked our panel and switch, and replaced our switch. Justin was very knowledgeable and taught us important things to know about our electrical system and how to keep it in best condition, as well as letting us know of future work to expect due to age of electrical panel.

Justin was able to tell instantly which carbon monoxide detector was chirping, and resolved within 1 minute what had been plaguing my wife, dog, and I for weeks! He recommended what kind of smoke/CO detectors we should get, and offered a very reasonable price to install them.
