SAC mechanical was able to get a technician team out to my house the same day I requested service. At peak season, that's quite a rarity in this industry. Thank you Rich and Tim for restoring my old unit to its former glory, and at a decent price!

SAC repaired my residential A/C roof top coil summer 2015. Other Boulder HVAC companies tried to sell entire A/C unit replacement (including costly crane installation to roof) as they informed me that unit was out of warranty. SAC was able to get part under warranty and got the job done on time at a reasonable cost.

Recommended SAC to friend for her home A/C replacement and she was satisfied with installation and cost.

Scott arrived here on time and performed inspection and preventative maintenance. I could not be happier. He also got the app to work on my phone that had mysteriously stopped working, which controlled the wall thermostat remotely. I highly recommend SAC Mechanical.

I was getting taken for a ride by another HVAC company and when I called SAC, they shot me straight on what I actually needed to have done. It’s difficult when you hire a professional to come work on something you may have no idea about but the folks at SAC walked through the estimate and why it was necessary. Not to mention they came in at half the price of the other company I got a quote from. Scott came out on a late Friday afternoon and got our AC fixed. Many businesses can be trusted to do the right thing--that is, provided the right thing is also profitable. I'm happy to be able to report that SAC is different: they will do the right thing regardless.

I hired SAC Mechanical for a difficult job, and I paid them well for it. I can report that their crew was highly professional, and that after they left, the issue appeared resolved.

But then, a couple months later, the same sort of problem reoccurred. I don't blame them for this: HVAC are complicated systems, and fixing one part of such a system can induce failures in a different part. But I do find it notable, and praiseworthy, that they came out several more times until the problem was fixed, and that they didn't charge me for any of the subsequent visits.

You may say this is how all businesses ought to operate, and I would agree. But I can also tell you from hard experience that this is not how all businesses operate. Many will give up when the going gets tough--especially if they can no longer charge you. The damage of one potential bad review seems to matter less to them than the cost of sending technicians to do many hours of unpaid work--and the ethics of the situation seem to matter not at all.

I expect that agreeing to fix my HVAC may not have ended up being a good business decision for SAC in the short term. For all I paid them for the first call, at the end of the day I probably cost them far more. And yet they still did the right thing.

Now, I leave this review in the hope that in the very long run, it will also have been the profitable thing too. That is to say, I hope my review will persuade you (yes, you reading this) to choose SAC. They have proven to me that they will keep their word. And when it comes to HVAC, believe me when I say this: you want to work with a company that will keep its word.

I used SAC for checking my AC & Furnace. The technician Steve was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained step by step what he was doing and showed me all the possible future issues that I should keep my eyes on them. No pressure at all to do extra repair or fixing. I strongly recommend SAC for any heating and cooling job. They are one of the top.

August 17, 2024..... DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! Two years ago I was forced to use SAC Mechanical to replace my Evaporator Cooler, because they had a contract with Home Smart --now called HomeService. The problem: my evaporated cooler was leaking water into my kitchen and a hall closet. And for the past two years it has continued to leak and ruin the ceiling in the kitchen and in the hall closet. Each time SAC comes out to my house, the problem was never been resolved; and they claimed not to know the cause of the issue. Their incompetence has cost me close to 2 thousands dollars-- not just in labor fees, but also in repair costs. Do not hire!!!

SAC is our go to for all of our HVAC needs. They’ve been servicing our systems for several years and have been nothing but thorough and professional. Most recently we replaced our AC unit, and there process was smooth and fast. We love these guys and highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs!

Stan responded to our concerns snout our air conditioner working after a furnace replacement last December. Stan arrived within 48 hours of our call, phoning in advance and got tight to work. After identifying several issues and communicating with other techs, he returned the next day and addressed all issues, repeating test 3-4 times to make sure every thing was spot on. Having spent 40+ years in the service industry, I’ve been very impressed with SAC mechanical. You and your team responded when our furnace failed in December and the follow up call last week was excellent! Kudos to Stan, Jeanie and the entire SAC team, you guys ate the best!

We experienced issues with our air conditioning this summer and decided to call SAC Mechanical. I'm so glad we did! Their customer service is exceptional. The technicians were prompt, honest, and transparent. One of them accidentally broke the spray head on our hose, but they immediately informed us and replaced it with a better one without us even asking. I own a small business in Longmont with over 300 5 star reviews. Got my hvac system installed by these guys 2 years ago. Everything was great until it came time to warranty their work. I Have a condensation backup now and they denied to warranty it, effectively voiding a multi-year warranty cause I “missed” a service appointment. The lady on the phone is a gem. Rude and likes to yell and cut you off. The owner doesn’t seem to care much either, dismissing me as their client due to a disagreement in warranty terms. I have the entire call recorded. I’m so frustrated and upset. Would recommend you look elsewhere for your HVAC needs. They don’t stand behind their work regardless of what they claim when they sell you the unit.

Edit: in response to their reply I have a 2 year warranty on my AC and 1 year labor warranty on my HVAC. The condensate line is clogged within 1.5 years, and I change the filters every month which means they did not install a new line when they installed it despite that being on the work order form. The old line is still attached and there is no new pvc piping. So they will quote you for stuff to “add on” to the fee but never actually perform it or do it the right way. They do shoddy work and cut corners and then when they are called out on it they immediately find a way to defer your warranty. Only after them telling me they would not stand behind their work did I say I will take them to small claims court and I continue to stand by that. They’ll end up being ordered to pay for the repairs done by another company all because of their ego.

It's 6:30pm and Chris and Stan just left. Chris had arrived before noon for a routine maintenance of our furnace. After doing a very complete maintenance, he ran into problems with our Nest thermostat not communicating with our furnace. Long story short: he ran into major problems with the communication and wiring of the thermostat. The fix wasn't easy! Stan came to help trouble-shoot. I can't overstate the dedication to resolve the problem. SAC mechanical should be praised to have such dedicated personnel. SAC mechanical should be your choice for any A/C and heating issues. SAC Mechanical is a family-run business with humans that answer the phone!! They're reasonably priced and their employees do quality work (thanks, Stan, for replacing my humidifier!). I will definitely call them again for any of my HVAC needs.
