Very happy with the landscaping, patio work. Steve and Ken did a great job... Their quote was little expensive compared to other landscaper quotes that I got but these guys are professionals and totally trustworthy..

The Ward crew worked with our electrical contractor to complete trenching for electrical access. They were prompt, courteous and did a good job, from estimate through completion.

Hired them to build us a large water feature. First we had electrical problems, then the earth caved in, then the pump broke and now it leaks. Eight months after they first put it in, it still doesn't work and we have to beg them to come out and repair it. They were happy to take our money but don't seem to care to back up their work.

We had our backyard re-landscaped. From the estimate to completion, Ward's Landscape kept on budget and on time. All of the staff are very professional and friendly. Nice suggestions on plants and trees, too!

Wards is always on time for my sprinkler system shutdown or startup. They designed and installed our entire landscaping 8 years ago, and we have enjoyed it ever since. Thank you!

Steve and his team did a great job. I thought we had some difficult situations with both trees and drainage but they handled everything expertly. They came back out three times to check on things I had questions on without hesitation.

Wards is reasonably priced and does a terrific job. They do irrigation, retaining walls, flower beds and much more. We were very happy with all their work and the quality of the plants and trees.

I called SJ to come out and fix my backflow, Brandon was great to work with and walked me through how to winterize my new system.

We had a total landscaping project on half an acre which involved hard scapes, driveway, beautiful sod and perennials that was done very professionally with a clean and friendly crew. Very happy with the results. Highly recommend SJ Ward for any of your landscaping needs.

This May I was working with Travis. He drew up the plans but we had to go back several times as the estimate did not match the plans. We had plans to talk on May 31 Tuesday and he did not call. I got an email on June 1st he got busy and that he would be available that Thursday and Friday to talk. I emailed him back and said Thursday would work at 11:30. He never called. Today, 7 days later I get an email he is back from vacation and can talk. I explained to him that he did not communicate that he was going on vacation and that if seemed with the lack of communication he was blowing us off. His response..."Sounds good." Very unprofessional. I would not recommend going with this company as Travis did not do a great job at communicating to the customers.

We contracted with SJ for front lawn landscaping including drip irrigation. The "foreman" spent half a day figuring out how to run the drip irrigation, eventually saying they would have to run pipe from the back yard to the front (not necessary). He then decided it was better to cut a hole in our basement ceiling for a valve. He then cut the hole and put the bleed valve on backwards (we later discovered when water ran all over the basement). SJ then worked out a 3rd way to install the irrigation from the front yard (genius!). SJ Ward took ZERO responsibiity for the uneccessary damage done to our basement ceiling. We had to call a plumber to fix their mistake at our cost. After that fiasco, we've had ongoing service problems. This year we called them in the first week of May related to the drip irrigation and after several follow up calls, we're in June with nothing scheduled. If this sounds like a great adventure to you, then go for it. I'm sure SJ will be willing to sound awesone on the sales call. Check out my basement ceiling in the pic. None of that was necessary and SJ thought it proper just to leave it as is.

Thought they were a reputable company so we hired them to replace our concrete patio. The one they poured developed a large crack barely a month later. It was like pulling teeth, but they did finally repair that section. During the planning process we agreed to have them add a dye to the concrete, but they ended up mixing it incorrectly and it's terribly discolored. It looks as though part of the patio is wet and the rest dry. We have been told over and over again that they would fix it, but here we are almost $18,000 and six months later and they are completely ignoring us. To make matters worse, another huge crack has appeared in a different section. I don't recommend hiring this company, but if you do, be sure to get a detailed written guarantee and don't pay them in full until you're completely satisfied.

Excellent work, even on smaller projects. They did a beautiful job properly installing a long stone raised bed, and re-sodding our front, and they did it very quickly. They treat even a small project with professionalism and importance, which many other companies do not.

My only criticism is that there were a number of miscommunications that created some confusion. However everything was sorted pretty quickly, and they are VERY responsive if an issue arises, as well as if you need to contact them for any reason.

In regards to cost - they are extremely transparent in their pricing and I only incurred additional cost due to re-sodding a larger area than originally quoted. This is also not something that has necessarily been my experience with others who suddenly start tacking on additional charges until your project ends up costing twice as much as originally quoted.

I would definitely use these guys again for any other projects that may arise.

Steve Ward and his entire team at SJ Ward Landscapes is one of the finest landscape designer and installers I have ever experience in nearly 40 years of owning property in northern Colorado. After building a large greenhouse/poolhouse in my backyard, I contracted SJ to completely replace all landscaping in both the front and backyard, including sod, bushes, plants, beds and bedding, and flagstone paths, as well as the riverbed trenches required by the City around the poolhouse. Steve and team not only provided incredible value at a reasonable cost, they were exceptionally communicative throughout and did what they said they would when they said they would do it, including replacing some plants and bushes that later died, but at no cost to me. My wife and I could not now be happier with the appearance of our property throughout and would give SJ Ward Landscapes our highest recommendation for doing the same for you !!

Full thumbs up for SJ Ward. We had SJ Ward do some significant residential hardscaping - tearing out an old concrete sidewalk, driveway and patio, then pouring a new driveway and patio, building a red stone path in place of the sidewalk, and also building a gutter drainage system (to fix a drainage problem on that side of the house). They did a great job overall, and particularly they took care of every small detail we originally discussed with no problems. We have more to do and we will be using them in the near future!

S.J.Ward is a company to do business with. I have used them for the last four years and I cannot tell you how wonderful their employees are! They have gone out of their way to get my yard looking good and to keep it that way! Now that I have placed my home on the market and have had some deadlines to meet, they have been absolutely exceptional in helping to meet those deadlines! I would highly recommend this company! They are the very best! Really unbelievable!

Excellent company, We are very happy with the grass, trees and shrubbery selection used in design and installation. Communication was very good and open. Ken (Site Supervisor) was great on following up on details that I thought needed attention especially after the initial 30 days when the weather turned hot and was impacting the freshly laid sod. Ken's team adjusted, replaced whatever wasn't up to expectations. Thank you Steve and the SJ Ward Team.
