Arik did our design work for our entire landscape. He was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, or any changes we requested. He's very easy to work with and very professional. Great experience all the way around!

With a blank canvas for creation my engagement stretched from design to installation with team SolMauna. Arik was thorough, patient, and tasked with reading my mind as I had no idea what I wanted but I did have a short list of what I needed. The team delivered on a gorgeous space with flexibility and ideal maintenance requirements much earlier than expected.

Arik and his team are some of the most professional people I have worked with. They were respective of my budget, accommodated any design ideas we came up with, and managed my expectations around what could be done within the budget. After all was said and done, we have an amazing looking, professional backyard that exceeds any expectations we had and all within the price range we had in mind.

It was a great experience. We loved Arik’s design. His team arrived on time on the agreed upon day. Installation happened without a hitch. They even tolerated a few last second changes. Glad we we got to work with them. Highly recommended.

Arik and his SolMauna crew are fantastic! Arik created a beautiful design for my front yard. When it was finally my turn (after winter and then rain delays this spring), he and his team got to work and completely transformed my yard from a hellscape of weeds to a beautiful, inviting and low-maintenance space I can actually enjoy! And they did it in 3 days. Wow. They are extremely hard-working, easy-going and flexible. There were some hitches when it came to installing a drip irrigation system for me but they solved all the problems so I didn't need to worry about anything. I am beyond satisfied with the work, the cost and the results. Highly recommend!

We purchased our home in 2010 with the typical “builders” landscape package. We never really liked it and had always planned on adding a pool. Arik came over and did some measurements and with within a day presented us with an amazing plan. What I liked about Eric was that he actually listens to what my wife and I wanted for our backyard. He did not try to “pigeon hole” us into a standard landscape package. The design was very personalized to our needs/wants. We were going for the “urban industrial” look and all I can say is Wow! He was able to blend multiple mediums and textures. Mediums included concrete, steel, wood, natural stone, and architectural plastic panels for a shade structure. Eric recommend did an amazing pool builder and installed all the plants himself. That was a nice touch. Our backyard has pretty much become our second home. Great for privacy and great for guests. Our plants and trees are maturing making our backyard look better and better with every season. I highly recommend Arik from SolMauna Design!!

We wanted to remove the sod and do some low moisture, low maintenance landscaping in our small front yard. Arik had a fabulous vision and design for our space using attractive boulders and native pollinating plants. His crew was great! We are so happy with the completed result. My husband and I wanted to improve the existing landscaping at our home that we bought two years ago. We are cheap and handy, but have zero design skills, so we searched high and low for a landscape company that would draw up a design only for our home. After many fruitless calls we we were fortunate to find Arik and SolMauna! I sent out a request via Houzz and he was the first and only landscape designer to actually pick up the phone and call. That was impressive, but that was only the beginning.

Arik came to our home to see what we already had and ask what our goals were for our yard. We also told him our desire for a more natural look and the plants we like. He came back with such a beautiful design that we would never have been able to conjure up on our own. He also included beautiful plants, shrubs and trees that I have never heard of, and when we looked them up found that they are gorgeous and perfect for our area.

After Arik completed the design he met with us again to review it, ask questions and make any adjustments. I think we added one tree to the front yard and asked him for a suggestion of type and placement, and then we asked Arik to also design the irrigation system for our new landscaping too. He met with us one more time to review that.

We just started the process of removing old rock and are about to start installing the sprinkler system and Arik has been great in responding to questions we have had along the way as we get into the project. When we get to the point of buying boulders, he will also help us choose and place our boulders so they look the best.

We are excited to see how our yard turns out and will post pictures when we are done. We count our lucky stars every day that we found Arik who is a true landscape artist!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Arik Andrew, the owner of SolMauna. The design he created and built for our backyard was completely beyond our expectations. Our home backs up to an open space with walking and biking trails. Since the completion of our backyard, people stop by daily and take pictures or ask us how to contact Arik. We needed to have our the pavers in our garden walkways reset. After some searching, a friend recommended SolMauna Creation+Design. We gave them a call, Arik came to take a look, and explained the process. We were immediately impressed by his promptness and knowledge, so we decided to go ahead with the project on the spot.
That was one of our best landscaping decisions ever! Arik's team did a superb job—our paver walkways are now more beautiful than the original work—and the clean up left nothing behind, but the beautiful work. All through the project Arik kept us in the loop with frequent emails, which is something we especially liked.

We recently worked with SolMauna to design and install a refresh of our front yard landscaping. Arik took the time to understand our vision of the project and offered suggestions to meet those expectations. He provided an initial design and followed up with a secondary design after some more input from us. He was able to meet our budget and our vision for the project.

Arik and his install team performed the work over a single week. This included demo of the previous landscaping, preparing and installing the beds. The team was professional, courteous and left the project in a clean state every day. As expected, there were some issues with the old irrigation that had to be resolved. (previous landscape was approximately 20 years old) The team quickly found a solution and made the appropriate fixes. We now have water to places that haven't had any in quite some time.

At the end of the project there were a couple of minor "punch card" type issues that needed to be addressed. These were quickly resolved and our project was completed.

I will use SolMauna for future landscape projects and recommend their services. They hit the budget, deliver what they commit to in a timely manner and offered solutions. Arik and his team provided a personal touch to the project and took great pride in the work they did.

We were looking at upgrading our yard to match the remodeling we did on the house. We really enjoyed working with Arik from SolMauna. He was very responsive, creative in his suggestions and cost effective. Overall, great experience and we love the result.

Arik is very responsive, and diligent about following up on all the project details, from the earliest planning phase onward. His team put together the most beautiful backyard entertaining space for us and fixed multiple water drainage problems, while also taking care to be low impact on the environment and re-using materials when appropriate. They left the staging areas cleaner than they found them!

I had been mowing a small area of grass in my backyard for years, but the lawn was not bringing me joy! Arik created a design which would remove the grass and replace it with shrubs, perennials and a flagstone path. I was especially pleased with the emphasis on creating a space which would be colorful and would also attract birds and butterflies.

We went with SolMauna after seeing a few of our neighbors lawns that went through them. I was so happy with that decision, Arik is super responsive, creative and very accommodating. His team in incredibly friendly and extremely hard working. The end product was better than what i was expecting and for prices that his competitors couldn't even come close to.
