Seriously; after BestBuy/Geek Squad did me the extreme favor of making me wait a mere 10 days to hang a new TV , I reached out to Lawrence, and hours later he was at the house. He even stopped off and picked up some stuff from Home Depot.

Jason picked up the first time I called and gave me a fair price on installing a bathroom sink. He came the next day, did the job, no b.s., no games. I appreciate his no-nonsense attitude and I will happily use him again for any handyman projects that come up.

One change I noticed when moving from a condo to a co-op: I immediately found that the resident co-op handymen, although being a great bunch of guys, were inundated with servicing the critical maintenance of the building and had little time to address the "discretionary" requests of the individual co-op shareholders. Thus I needed to find an overall handyman to work with me on home design projects. Enter Lawrence Land, aka Mr. Choice Green.

I've hired Lawrence on four occasions in the past year since moving in: assembling IKEA furniture, installing a new 65" flat screen TV on my wall, and the installation of two new window A/Cs. I keep bringing him back because I enjoy the quality of his work (he's also a good, honest guy to boot). There doesn't seem to be much that fazes him, as I believe he's worked in most of the neighborhoods in the 5 boroughs and he has seen various types of construction.

In particular, the wall onto which my TV was mounted was a bizarre trifecta of wire lath, sheetrock and shallow depth. Again, Lawrence handled the situation very well. He also is quick to recommend screws and fittings that he feels would hold better than those provided by the manufacturer.

A word of advice: just as doctors wish that their patients would be proactive in explaining their problems, you should also be proactive when explaining your project to a handyman. Lawrence is particularly receptive to reviewing photographs of your current situation in an effort to prepare for a seamless installation.

Ive been using this service for years and have always been impressed by their work. Very knowledgable and professional. He helped me find a mount based on the vesa standard of the TV which helps them determine whether or not the mount actually fits the TV vs a univeral mount which may not always work and will save you time and money!! I will be calling them for my next installation as i have for the past 4 years and at least 7 previous installs for sure.

Leaky toilet and fan cover off. Called yesterday, called me right back. Made appointment for today. He let me know before when he was coming. Lawerence and Kevin came at 3:30. The toilet is old and was a nightmare to fix, They had to make several runs to get parts. It is now 8:30. My toilet works!!!!
The fan cover is fixed. They did not give up. They are so polite and personalble. I would recommend them for any job you have. A FIVE star rating.

A great service. They did last minute work at our New York office, and having their payment method verified, was a huge help to us. They mounted all 6 televisions, for less than what Best Buy was charging, and they asked questions, that helped us get this done even faster than we hoped. Choice Green is the way to go.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place for plumbing. They charged me $150 and gave me suggestion that I let them open up my walls and ceiling to find out why there was low hot water pressure. They checked nothing else made, no other suggestions or did any trouble shooting. They even suggested that perhaps the contractor that put in the new pipes last year lied and didn't change the pipes in the walls! I got a second opinion and they suggested I change the hoses under the sink. Viola! It was a 25.00 fix. Save yourself $150.00 and call someone else for plumbing work.

Choice Green is a great choice (no pun intended) . Their work is shockingly great. They were fast and punctual upon arrival. They were neat with there work. Did the tv mounting in about 30 to 40 minutes. I've referred this company to a couple of friends and they got the same results. So my experience was a good one.

Jason was superb. I called him to see if he could remove a TV wall mount the previous owner left behind. It was tricky because there were no visible screws, but he figured it out within minutes. He also helped me deal with the mess of cables left in the wall. Aside from being capable and efficient, Jason was friendly, informative and courteous. I'd gladly hire him again.

Last week we woke up to find a large pool of water on the kitchen floor: apparently a faucet connected either to the dishwasher or the washing machine was leaking. A search on Yelp led us to Lawrence. He responded promptly and fortunately was able to come that very day.
Sparing the details of the source of the leak, Lawrence was helpful and forthcoming about the problem, the fix, and the potential costs. The leak was dispatched with a long term fix. Additionally, he proved resourceful in restoring the kitchen to its original arrangement - not a small feat given how tightly designed it is.
We found Lawrence to be professional, thorough, someone who clearly cares about his work and is very knowledgeable, it was a very positive experience.

Not many service providers bother to give you an explanation as to why something should be done, or priced a certain way. When we looked for a plumber to replace our cracked toilet, the quotes were all over the place. None of the other companies bothered to explain what may or may not be necessary regarding a flange reset, if it may be necessary, or if we were being charged for doing something like that.

Choice Green stated what info they would need from us, to give an accurate quote, and what may happen once the toilet comes off, so we could make an assessment on what labor they were providing, and what any additional charge could arise from something that may be unforeseen.

Based on the quotes we received before contacting them, we would have been grossly overcharged by any other plumbing service, or run into some kind of hidden tax on labor, had we not gotten the info we received from them.

And they did an excellent job getting the new toilet in, while saving us money.

Choice Green came in place of some Craigslist handyman I originally hired, due to the fact the Craigslist guy showed up late, on 2 separate occasions, both of which had me cancel the appointment I made with the them, because of the conflict with my schedule (and prior engagements I couldn't cancel).

Choice Green came in and did an excellent job, but what helped me save some money, was the fact that they asked if the space was clear, or could be clear prior to their arrival to assemble our furniture, which it was, which helped them assemble the items much faster, as they were on an hourly rate. But the best part is, they showed up on time.

Lawrence is great! I thought my AC was full of mold or would need to be replaced. He came by and cleaned the machine and it is as good as new! No mold, musty smell is gone. I just have to keep the filter clean. He is friendly and nice and does a great job.

We had our TV mounted in our reception area and Lawrence came and finished the work in less than an hour. He did a great job with the installation and was very affordable. He definitely knows what he's doing. I highly recommend them and will be using their services in the future.
