Straight Line Construction is very professional and did a fantastic job. Kenny Hatch came out promptly and gave us a bid and the work was completed quickly and was everything we had hoped for. I would absolutely recommend them.

Kenny was on time, asked questions, and addressed all my concerns. He was honest about which issues might need professional attention and which were just due to normal house settling. Recently I hired Straight Line Construction to correct the settling problem in my Family room foundation. In the first step, Kenny Hatch came to my home to measure exactly where the foundation problems existed. He did that by using a tool in the family room which discovered where the problems were. The company did not have to go into the crawl space of my house to work on the problems. Instead holes were drilled down through my cement sidewalk where they inserted pipes in which special grouting was drilled under the original foundation. This process slowly raised the foundation to the point it was no longer out of balance. The crew who worked this job were very efficient through the entire process, including cleaning up! I would recommend Straight Line Construction to anyone needing foundation corrections!

This is going to be a summary of what has turned out to be the most ridiculous headache. I decided to go with Straightline because of good reviews and recommendations. After several different companies came through and said pretty much the same thing, we decided to move forward.
I paid a structural engineer to come out, and forwarded his report to Kenny and Bob. Communication was what I would consider exceptional, and we moved forward with helical pier work. The house was supposed to be lifted with the interior slab mudjacked. (The engineer specifically said not to *only* lift.)

Part of the project quote was to do water mitigation on the west side of the house where the foundation issues had arisen. It was presented to me as a trench dig with a rock/dirt swale, with a hefty price tag of over $3,500. Needless to say, I was expecting a pretty sturdy and well constructed setup. It was casually mentioned during the pier project that one of the workers needed to do that part of the project. He was unaware, but then told me he was planning on "cleaning up" that area anyway since they had been digging and piling rock, dirt, and concrete over that side of the yard.

At the end of the project, I questioned this as it looked like he had only taken a few passes over the area and it was still higher than the house. There was no swale, and the "trench" looked like a shovel had just been dragged over it. I noted this on the project completion paper, as well as in a follow up email and voicemail. Both of which were ignored for weeks. Finally, I got ahold of Bob after leaving several messages (about the concrete work also not being finished). This spring has been wet. The first heavy rain washed the "trench" away. I voiced my concerns to Bob and he said he would get someone out here. Nothing. No follow up or anything.

Mudjacking was scheduled 9 weeks after the pier work. Thankfully, the worker who showed up was honest about the situation. He told me that he could NOT mudjack because the slab was cracked and the ductwork was in the floor. Wow. I have numerous emails between myself and the company where this was mentioned, and both Kenny and Bob walked through the house multiple times... Great. So not only was my house lifted, but I just wasted months of time where I could have been working to get this project completed.

These projects are never without stress and frustration. My issue now is that I've been invoiced for both the mudjacking and trench/swale. I was "discounted" $1,028.29 for the mudjacking, yet the price on the invoice is $1,825.81. So, after numerous emails, he takes off another $500? Still not the total amount. Deduct the TOTAL amount.

They are also saying that the swale and trench was done but I just wasnt happy with it... You are correct. I am not happy with it. It did not even last one hard afternoon rain, and there was zero follow up when I reached out numerous times. So, now I have to find someone else to do water mitigation thst they are charging me for. Plus, I have Kenny gaslighting me about what the different project quotes mean as I am reading old emails where he states something completely different. Not to mention that the quotes specifically say otherwise! I sent pictures of the "trench" asking if that was their company's standard and received no response. (Picture of the $3500 trench dig...)

I dont know what happened from day one until now, but the sheer negligence involving the ductwork and lifting the house is non forgiving. Who knows what long term issues I could have. Sure, they claim that the type of ductwork made it impossible, but why was that not asked one of the many times I mentioned it in emails OR when one of them was walking through the house? Apparently it also happened the day before at another site... yeah, that is a problem.

The team of gentlemen that actually did the work are phenomenal, professional, and respectful. The fact that several of them seemed confused when I brought up project pricing, promises etc shows that they are good, honest people.

We were very happy with our experience with Straight Line construction. Kenny came out to assess our project. He was very helpful and informative. Our project took a little time to get scheduled, and when the project date arrived, there wasn’t an available driver. Even so, they rescheduled us for right away, and our project got finished the next day. We are so happy with our fixed front porch!

Straight Line (Kenny) was referred to me. Kenny thoroughly examined both the interior and exterior surfaces. Fortunately he determined the cracks are superficial. What a relief! He could have scammed me to get work done that's unnecessary. I'm very pleased with his honesty!

Previous sewer line work done and not properly backfilled. Straight line inserted a concrete mix under sidewalk and patio and lifted back up to where they belonged! Ken explained procedure very well!

St Line team did not rush the process of finding out what the foundation problems were. Once a solution was agreed and a contract completed, they got the work going. They informed me that some of our assumptions had changed and they focused on fixing problems without adding any costs.

I inspected the work mid way through and found the work area clean and work team professional and willing to spend the time to show me what the solutions were doing to fix the foundation problems. I am very satisfied with the effort the St Line team did to help our home get healthy!

Kenny Hatch came out; gave an accurate estimate and explained the whole procedure. It really helped having someone so knowledgable to talk with. The crew did an excellent job and the young lady in the office was courteous and sent me my contract a 2nd time when I requested it. I wish all businesses worked this well.

Straight Line Construction is beyond our imagination and their service quality is excellent! Kenny Hatch is the best salesman that we have experienced by far. He came to our house with the most respectful attitude and helped us quote everything in a reasonable and most affordable fashion! The efficiency of Straight Line Construction is amazing too! This team came to the rescue! They were professional, truly know their way around a foundation. They literally raised our home and reconstructed, putting us back on level footing post flooding. It was a mess but they got it done. Kudos to the entire team.

It was a pleasure to have Everett and his Straightline/Ramjack crew back again for more structural work on our property. At the beginning of the year he helped save our garage by reinforcing a collapsing load bearing wall, breathing new life, with steal and concrete, into an over a century old structure. We quickly schedule him for a second project and patiently waited to benefit from further examples of his skilled craftsmanship. This time we trusted the straightline team not just with our garage but now also with balancing the foundation of our home from what was becoming terminal damage where cracks had formed across every floor. Over the course of a week the team rooted our entire lives back onto steady ground one once more as they constructed walls to support the frame and foundation before restoring by raising the compacted soil level to where the stones where first laid over 100 years ago. My home’s project may not objectively be as magnificent as some of straightline’s other state capital building restoration projects, but my home is my castle and I know the quality will last just as long, to be enjoyed well after me. Kenny came out and went over all the details and had a quote for me immediately. I was set up with a date, the team showed up on time and worked delingently until the work was completed. My side walk is now all even and there was an area that had dropped at least 6 inches and the got it up to level. Great job! Thanks! Pam

I called Straight line for an issue in our backyard that needed my Mud Jacking.
They promptly sent out Kenny. He measured and surveyed the situation. He was very personable and proficient. He also was able to give us a bid on some concrete that we thought we might want to pour as well.

But due to our constraint in our finances, we are not going to move forward with this project at this time.

Kenny was great and easy to work with! He was upfront about my project, and answered all my questions! My project was to raise one of my sinking concrete pads and fix the ground underneath where the dirt had pulled away severly on the other one. Straight Line Construction was booked out for a month on their schedule to do the project, but it was worth the wait! They complete their projects in a timely manner, and do nice work!
