Chris and his painters worked long hours to complete the exterior painting of my home. I am very pleased with their work. Their attention to details were exceptional. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a quality paint job!

Our repairs were siding and deck repairs plus painting our entire house. The work was started and completed on time and for the value we expected. Both repairs and painting crews were courteous and had an attention for detail. We would recommend Tom and Chris and their workmen for the job they did to make our house shine again. Thanks guys.

Have to agree with Emily. This has been a nightmare. Gave Chris $4600 as a down payment for a deck re-finish and 8 windows. That was on February 1st, 2024. Now, over 5 months later, deck is done, but no windows.
No returns of phone calls or emails for the last few weeks.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I will have to sue him in court probably for the $2,000 I estimate he owes me.

Sheppard’s did a great job painting my in law’s house so I hired them to paint my home. They did an amazing job! It was raining on and off the whole job but they worked around and got it done . They did a great job patching up and replacing a lot of the damaged siding that we had along the sides of the house. I highly recommend them !

We have lived in our home since 1996 and have had our house painted many times by at least four different painting contractors. I started looking for another painting contractor who not only paints houses but also repairs and replaces siding. I have seen “Sheppard’s Painting” and Sheppard’s Total Exteriors” signs in a several yards and then a friend told me that they are a very good company so I added them to my list of contractors to call. We needed lots of siding repairs due to a roof replacement that left a lot to be desired. We had no idea that the roofers neglected to put up new flashing material after they removed it where the roof meets the fireplace. The damage was extensive and we needed to get the siding replaced and repaired before further damage was caused. I called the first two contractors on my list to get an estimate. Each guy had a totally different take on what was needed to repair and paint our house. There estimate felt like they were guessing, one said that they would know more once they got started, the other one said the range could be anywhere from $4,500.00 to $7,500.00 and I had to keep my same paint colors. I was not impressed with them at all. I called Sheppard’s and spoke to Debbie she was so nice and helpful. She set up a time the next day for Tom to stop by and take at look at my house. From the start I could tell that Tom was different than the other contractors. We walked around the house and he pointed out the problem areas we chatted the whole time, he was so easy to talk to. We talked about the colors and he said “you should always change your colors for the best results”, that made sense to me and after spending 30 minutes together he gave me a written estimate; which was very fair for everything, I accepted it and wrote a check for the deposit to get put on his books.

When Sheppard’s crew showed up they started in right away. They were efficient and skilled. I was amazed how they prepped the house, using the first day to get the house ready to be painted that impressed me because the previous contractors used a few containers of caulk, I don‘t think they even used any primer before they started to paint. Sheppard’s attention to details was incredible! They replaced a lot of the siding, power-washed the whole outside of the house, scraped the chipped areas, caulked where needed and then primed all the areas that needed it. They worked hard throughout the three days they spent on my house. At the end of each day they picked up everything and made sure my gates were closed so my dogs would not get out.

I would HIGHLY recommend “Sheppard’s Total Exteriors”, for siding repair or replacement and “Sheppard’s Painting” for superior house painting.

I contracted with Chris Sheppard in January 2024. Gave him a down payment of $6200 dollars to replace hail managed windows. Since May he has not returned emails, phone calls or text messages. Colorado needs to change the law to make contractors licensed and bonded so consumers have more recourse!!

Absolutely fantastic work ethic from Chris Sheppard and his team. You can tell he takes a great deal of pride in the work his team does. Honest and affordable. He will definitely be the company we call when we need work done on the exterior of our house in the future. Thank you for making our house beautiful!

I wish these reviews could go into the negatives. DO NOT work with this company. They repaired our roof in 2017. In doing so they did a terrible job with the siding. We finally noticed and spent....4 months trying to contact them to come out for a repair quote for the insurance company. Finally, they came out in November; took a look and said they would be there to repair it the following week. Then they just disappeared. We spent months trying to contact them again because now squirrels were getting into our attic. Nothing back. Texts, voicemails, calls. Everything. We were desperate. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as there is a lot of roofing work happening. By March I contacted the BBB. They in turn COULD NOT get a hold of them. They suggested we take this to court. We had another contractor out recently to give an estimate and he indicated this was one of the worst jobs he has seen. Avoid at all costs so you do not have to go through what we went through. Shame on you all.

I was pleased with Sheppard's-- they were good to work with, making them one of the few positive experiences with contractors I've had among the many. They applied care to the job even though I was on a tight budget--lots of times contractors will decide that you don't care about your house if you're on a budget and file it under "you want to cheap out" so they can do a bad job freely. There were absolutely no red flags during the whole project and communication, which can't be said for the competition.

Chris is inspection-minded and knowledgeable, and brought other issues to my attention, doing the extra job of ensuring attic ventilation that was missing, though it was just a siding and painting job. At the same time, that's not to say that they tried to peddle or tack on items I didn't need to up the cost or pull one over on me--the right balance of helping me stick to budget in areas that could be dispensed with while making sure that the essentials are covered.

Fernando and crew were all friendly and got the job done in two days flat with the job being pretty small, just the non-brick parts on a small brick ranch. I am still receiving compliments on my house from family and neighbors, who have said that "it looks like a brand new house." Sheppard's also did my neighbor's house and it still looks great and like day 1 at least a couple years later, too, and that was with saving the old siding while mine was with re-siding. I approve of the properties of the siding product they use as well, LP SmartSide. Cosmetically the texture of it is also getting compliments on my house.

This company did not have a fancy phone answering scheduling service, which would up the overhead cost, so your communication is with the owner who is also on site working himself. Being clear and concise about the job helped to get it scheduled. I appreciated that he could communicate via text and email, and that detailed estimates were sent laying out their process step by step so that you know that it's the correct process, and line item cost. The cost also stayed the same in the end as was agreed on at the beginning, no surprise fees at the end. I'll be bugging them again when it comes time for the next project!

This has been the nightmare contractor experience everyone dreads.
We hired Chris to redo our roof and gutters, paint the house, and fix a few screens after hail damage. I wish I had paid attention to the warning signs - often had to call multiple times to get a call back, he ignored emails for weeks, and would show up 3 hours later than he said and sometimes not at all, with no communication.

After we paid an upfront deposit for the work, it became even more difficult to get a response. I had to call multiple times a day to finally get a crew out to paint. The house was painted, but the crew left tools and nails (literally dozens) all over our yard and driveway. They found multiple issues that Chris said he would address and never did. I told him I had purchased new lights and numbers to put on after painting, and asked multiple times to have an old satellite dish removed and discarded, and none of that was done. But it only got worse from there!

Chris did not answer emails or phone calls for months after that. We paid him in August, watched dozens of new roofs go up over the summer, fall and winter, and finally in February he replied to an email saying he “shuts down work in the winter” and assuring me he would get to our roof in April. April came and went and he did not respond to a single email or call. We have lost thousands of dollars we paid as a deposit for work that was never done and we have not received any response about a refund. Please do not waste your time and money like we did.

Chris sanded and painted our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. I wish we would’ve done this sooner. It looks like a whole new kitchen. We are very happy with the work. I would recommend.

Chris did an awesome job on my garage. He went all out and skim coated all the seams before applying primer/paint. Definitely makes the garage feel like a man cave now. I highly recommend Sheppard's!

The patio turned out great—it looks really nice and you can tell they used quality materials. I worked with Carlos, the owner, who was very easy to communicate with and made the whole process smooth. His team got everything done right and on time, with no issues at all. The cost was very affordable for the high quality of work. They also left the area spotless after the job. Highly recommend!
