Drew and his guys were great to work with. We love our new patio and have been enjoying it with the warmer winter weather. The guys at Down to Earth were professional and kept a clean site. We cannot wait until summer to see the new garden in full bloom. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be referring Down to Earth Designs to our friends and neighbors.

Drew and his team did an amazing job at my home. My entire sprinkler system had to be rebuilt and Drew personally fixed it for me so it would run properly and not leak. As well, I have quite a bit of red bark throughout my yard (front and back) and his team hauled the bark in wheel barrows and placed it so it was perfect in every area. Drew and his company were timely and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great landscaping company.

Drew came down to the property for the estimate meeting, listened to what had in mind and made a few helpful suggestions. At Down to Earth Designs they do both design and installation work.

No matter who you use, landscaping is not inexpensive. But Down to Earth Designs bid was reasonable and in-line with the other bids we received. The bid was very detailed and professional and included a design plan as well. We dialed in the plans before he sent us a contact and final bid. Last week we had another really great meeting with Drew down at the stone lot to pick out materials. He's been very patient with all of my questions and emails. He's also a good family man and just overall is a great person to work with.

Update: Drew and his team are finishing our installation today. The project looks incredible. I'm really glad I hired them. We even got compliments form our neighbors about both our installation and about how friendly the crew was. Our neighbor even hired them for a small project.

Drew and his team did a great job relandscaping our front yard. They were easy to work with, communicative and knowledgeable. Communication with any contractor is really critical but unfortunately most never follow through. Drew did and it relieved the stress of the project.

Over the past several years Down to Earth Designs has been helping us create an outdoor space that is functional, fun, and brings us great joy to be a part of. They made great suggestions based on what we wanted and what was actually possible for the space, and the lines of communication were always open. Their work is beautiful and thorough, the crews are great, and we have enjoyed working with them.

As with Jimmy Louthan's experiences with Down To Earth Designs, our experience could have been better. Once the job was underway, things felt rushed and our concerns and questions seemed like annoyances. While the patio itself looks great, the finish around the existing concrete caissons is inconsistent, just plain ugly, and will now require corrections with additional expense. Their haste to quickly complete the project speaks to their lack of attention to the details which so adversely affected the finished product. This is not what anyone should expect from a professional. We would never recommend 'Down to Earth Designs LLC' to a friend.

In Response: We could easily provide counterpoints to each item in Drew’s remarks below, but the bottom line is that when we expressed some concerns, he didn’t come back to look at them, and showed no interest in helping with a resolution. Instead he suggested we damaged the paver although we’ve had no further work done on the patio. We are now contracting someone else to replace the damaged paver and properly re-work the caisson areas.

We loved working with Down to Earth Designs! We renovated our home and did a complete overhaul to our yard. Drew designed a landscaping plan that included trees, shrubs and flowers that would grow best in the right light and around other complicated areas with great attention to detail. The whole crew was professional, friendly and did an amazing job! We are very happy with the customer service and overall experience working with Down To Earth Designs.

Down to Earth did an excellent job on my front lawn conversion to xeriscape. They showed up on time, kept me updated on their progress daily, worked so hard in this horrid heat and gave me a showstopper of a front yard that's the envy of the entire neighborhood. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We wanted to replace a large patch of thistles with xeric landscaping and we’re so pleased with what Drew designed and his crew (thank you Coulter, Corey, Jesus, and Chuy) accomplished in our front yard! They planted a cherry tree, a variety of grasses, pollinator-friendly flowers, and installed BEAUTIFUL granite boulders. In some cases I was a difficult customer, insisting on native plants (sorry, Drew! lol), but I couldn’t be happier. Thanks, guys!

My experience working with Drew and the team was outstanding, from start to finish. He was always prompt in communicating through the process. The design was impressive and he even helped me through the authorization process with the local HOA. Installation was fast and the entire crew was very respectful of me and my property. We chose Drew and Down to Earth Designs partly because of the positive reviews. I can confirm that Drew and crew did a great job from planning through cleanup. Drew's expertise and training in landscape design came through and he was very open to discussing changes to give us the personalized touches we were looking for. His crew was dedicated throughout the July hot spell without complaint or delay. Great, hard working guys that were a pleasure to have around. Drew came up with a design and worked with us to make it ours and within a set budget. He took the time to answer all our questions and explain where the project was daily. I cannot recommend Down to Earth Designs enough. From start to finish, Drew and his team exhibited nothing but the utmost, genuine professionalism. We had some general ideas about what we wanted to do on our odd piece of side yard here on a corner lot in south Denver between the sidewalk and the street (roughly eight feet wide by 120 feet long), and we called around to many other well-known companies, and either got mildly laughed at for inquiring so late in the season, or we were told that they wouldn't even consider looking at the space unless we were committed to at least a $20,000+ project. We finally found Drew online, and it seemed like a good fit for our idea of low-water native plants/trees and heavy stone and pebble features--and we were certainly right! Drew was ready to work with us from our initial message, and was able to fit us in for our two-day project between lots of his other big jobs in late July. We received clear plans and worked with Drew to amend, though very little changes were needed as Drew's initial visit to the site displayed his vast experience and knowledge of all things flora, and he envisioned what we envisioned but couldn't express, essentially from the get-go. Drew was honest in his assessment and quick to reply to all follow-up inquiries, and he helped us determine the best type of design and plants to have in the space, and helped us convert our odd sprinkler zones to a more efficient drip system for the project. And on the first demo day (we needed to first remove our weed-infested, thirsty turf) through the finalizing of the project on day two, Drew and his team of five were nothing but kind, professional, punctual, and friendly throughout. Everyone was readily available to address concerns and questions, and they worked hard to get us in on time and within our budget. And as a final bonus, Drew's team helped us relocate a small blue spruce we planted (erroneously close to utilities) on our own--this was a complete afterthought on our part, but Drew had his guys hammer this out for us in less than an hour. Finally, Drew has been by twice now to replace some plants that didn't make it, part of his generous guarantee/warranty of his work. Bottomline: if you need some native, drought-tolerant plants focusing around a minimal, xeriscape influenced design, and you need it done in a timely fashion with honest, fair pricing, then Down to Earth Designs is the way to go.

Drew and his team did a fantastic job designing and building our new landscaping. He communicated well the schedule and informed us if there was a slight increase in costs due to changes. I would highly recommend engaging Down To Earth Designs for your landscaping design, planning, and construction.

I've known the owner (and neighbor) for over three years. Garth and his team provide prompt and thorough lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, trenching, and snow removal services to commercial and residential properties. He's always available by mobile phone, and is very friendly and responsive.

These guys are amazing! We have a property that loves weeds and with the heat this summer they just got out of control. We asked them to come in and help clean up and it is so nice now. They showed up early and worked quickly. Our yard feels like a whole new yard. I would HIGHLY recommend them and will absolutely be using them again in the future.
