Sparks concret construction & sons did a wonderful job with my patio,and front porch. The whole crew did a fantastic job. They were done with the job before I new it. That was great 👍 ! I highly recommend them to do anything you need for concrete.

We have had Sparks do two driveways for us, and a custom step. They have been totally wonderful. When I first called, they were very prompt coming out for an estimate - they arrived exactly when they said - rare in construction! The estimate was done on the spot, and all work was done on schedule, and we were satisfied with everything. We were referred by our good friends, and their experience was even better. They did a driveway, and once complete one portion was not draining correctly. No hassle, no excuses, they came out, tore that part out, and redid it. In my experience, the best testament to a business is how they handle problems, and they could not have handled that any better. Cannot recommend highly enough. They are a rare find in the construction business!

Had an old driveway that needed to be replaced and can say we were very impressed with the service provided. Steve and his crew know what they're doing!! It's hard to find good contractors these days and if you're looking for a good one, Sparks is definitely one of them. Highly recommend this company if you need concrete work done from our experience. They leveled my yard, got rid of a giant stump , setup and poured a patio. 1 day! Highest quality and a more the fair price! I do recommend them!

Zero communication.
We had no idea they were even coming out when they did because we got no call, knock on the door, nothing! Then they put the slab in the wrong place. We agreed to keep it as is because obviously it'd be way more of a headache to move it. Our yard is ruined from their truck and now they have not been answering any messages to come finish the job. We never were told they were done (its a mess if it is) and never received an invoice or anything on paper with the final amount. Very unreliable & unprofessional.

UPDATE: Got a call after leaving the review. The owner (Steve) decided to scream & swear at my husband and said they are not going to finish the job. Not the "response" back I was looking for, and I would've gladly changed my review with a finished job, but...
If this is how they handle business, I would absolutely avoid them at all costs.

I was having a problem finding a cement contractor that could put in a basement. I called Sparks although he was to busy to dig my basement ect he found me a company that would and set it all up for me. Then when the basement was done he came right in and finished the flat work in a couple of day's and did an fantastic job. I would highly recomend Sparks for concrete work.

Highly Dissatisfied
Last April my mother, she's 82, had Sparks pour new concrete for part of her driveway, up to the garage and the enclosed back porch. This winter the concrete swelled to the point that the back door would not open. I called Steve and left a message. When he called me back, he was on vacation in Florida at a restaurant, and at one point I had to stop explaining the issue so he could place his order. He said he would call me when he got home. After not hearing from him for 3 weeks, I call him again. He finally agreed to come out and look at it. He said this was common and there nothing he could do. I explained that this was a fire hazard and he would need to repair this section. I also motioned that he had pour the concrete above the siding as well. He then told me that I was blaming everything that was wrong with the job on him and that I would have to get a lawyer and sue him to get it fixed. I have added a couple of pictures and a video.

Reply to Owners Response:
1) The original concrete was there for 45 years and there was never a problem with the door.
2) Caulk and back filling was given as a fix after the issue started. So why wasn't it done as part of the job so it didn't happen to begin with.
3) Nothing was said about pouring concrete over the siding before the job was started.

Before building a new house, I hired ST Construction & Son to repair my parent's home in Monroe, Michigan. The construction involved repairing leaky basement walls. They did a great job installing the drainage around the house and the sump pump to the basement floor. The experience was identical as described above. This job strengthened my trust and determination to hire them to build the new house.

RCS Construction Has ALWAYS Been Like Family To Me.. They're Kind, Welcoming And Down To Earth People.

They were hired to do my street. They did not inform me where to pick up my mail nor did they keep me informed of the progress. They also used my recycling bin as a trash can and the job lasted almost 2 months or more.

Red Chevy dump truck pulling the trailer and skid steer through East Alton today needs to slow down. And those traffic lights means something
