Gerry and his team are absolutely wonderful!! The installed the concrete decking around my pool. I wanted something a little out of the ordinate, diamond cuts instead of the typical square or rectangular, to make the brushed concrete more visually appealing. I believe I was the first person to ask for this, but Gerry and his team figured it out and executed beautifully. They also installed a dark gray stamped concrete boarder around the pool. It was a big job, but they were so efficient and wonderful to work with. You can also count on Gerry to remind you when it’s time to seal your concrete to keep it looking beautiful!!

Very nice experience with this company, from the initial phone call with Gerry & then Marko who came to my house to determine what I needed done, to Brian & his crew that did the actual work. Brian, Casey, & Matt did a beautiful job with the steps, sidewalk & a concrete pad. I highly recommend Herrmann Construction Company if are looking for quality work done by nice, honest, & professional people.

Needed a driveway and knew it was a little challenging given a steep drop off in the back (not pictured). After speaking with multiple contractors Gerry had the best solution at a great price. He was timely and great with communicating throughout the process. They demoed the old driveway and set the new forms in a day…incredible crew efficiency. Another thing to note is both he and his crew were respectful and kind, great to talk to. On “pour day” they stayed late making sure it was finished properly. I was pleasantly surprised when they even backfilled the sides with dirt and seeded (and put down straw!). Gerry will be my first call if I need anything done in the future and I highly recommend him and his great crew.

If you are looking for a hardscape company look no further. We are so happy that we decided on HCC to transform our backyard living space. Gerry’s crew is amazing. These guys hit the ground running on day 1 and never looked back. His team is very accommodating even when we wanted to change things as we went along. There were a few items that we needed to discuss with Gerry and he came out personally to review with us. HCC did a lot of work over the course of the 6 days. They demoed an old deck and deteriorating wall. They installed a Versa Lok wall and added under cap lighting. A stamped patio was poured with a drain system with a new walkway then finished off with river rock behind the wall. We are thrilled with the results of this project. We will definitely recommend HCC to our friends and family.

Hermmann Construction Company completed our pool patio cement and couldn’t be happier.
It was great to see Gerry’s team show up early in the morning every day and get the job done quickly while making sure we were satisfied with how the project was going.
We got raked over the coals by another company before contacting Hermmann, and I’m so happy they were able to do our job.
He was able to match some existing coloring we had previously. They cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasing to work with.

Gerry and the entire crew were excellent. Took less than a full day to put in our new retaining wall along the driveway, and it is beautiful. Fast, honest, friendly, professional, everything you look for in a contractor. I need to do the other side of my driveway in a year or two, and I’ll definitely be using Herrmann again for that job.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Herrmann Construction for a major project that included removing my old concrete pad and installing new stamped concrete on my patio and pool deck. The team not only transformed my concrete but also added a beautiful fire pit, seating wall, and elegant stone stairs.

From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The crew was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely nice workers who respected our property like it was their own. They took the time to understand my needs and provided expert advice on design choices that truly elevated the overall aesthetic. They were always in a great mood working and took a lot of pride in all of their work.

The quality of workmanship is unparalleled. The stamped concrete looks absolutely gorgeous, Nick was even out there doing touch ups in his socks to make sure he didn’t miss anything, I couldn’t believe the attention to detail. The owner Gerry was great, he answered all of my phone calls, texts, and emails promptly and never made me feel bad when I changed things around. He also was on the job working every day with his crew knowing what’s going on and being there every step of the way. The whole crew was top notch!!!

We had HCC replace our old driveway with a beautiful dyed and stamped concrete driveway. AMAZING job!! The team was prompt, polite, friendly and very hardworking. Their attention to details was incredible, clearly highly experienced and knowledgeable. Gerry was great to work with, reliable and easy to communicate with. The driveway is definitely worth the price - We would absolutely hire them again.

We reached out to the team based on a neighbor's recommendation to build a concrete patio in our backyard, and we're really glad we did. So pleased with Gerry and his team. The concrete around our pool was a difficult job due to the shape and they did a fantastic job. Gerry sent me videos while they worked and communicated every step of the way. He went above and beyond to accommodate the colors and stamping that I wanted and I couldn’t be more pleased! I would absolutely recommend Gerry and his team!

Bryan and Casey dug out my old stairs, framed the new stairs and poured and sealed fresh concrete. They and their whole team were respectful of my property as well as my neighbors. They did an amazing job and were kind and funny.

They cleaned up everything when they were done and put up caution tape while the concrete is curing.

Gerry gave me a fair quote and came when he said his team would. He answered many questions and worked well with other contractors needed for the job.

We highly recommend Herrmann Construction Company! Gerry and his team transformed our backyard into a pool paradise! The entire crew was very professional and hustled non-stop. Our project included a 2’ stamped concrete border that provided a clean and smooth pool coping, a large concrete patio that tied into our existing patio off of the house, a walkway for easy access to the basement, and the structure that provides a walkway and sitting wall around the wet deck. A lot of planning and dedication went into the construction of the wet deck including 4’ deep footings, a double 8” block wall, poured concrete caps for the sitting wall that match our pool border, hidden channel drain system, and stone veneer that tied in our existing patio. The HCC team went above and beyond and ran the conduit and electrical wiring through the sitting wall for the two low-voltage lights that light up the steps. Gerry took extra time and attention to create a custom housing for the brass spillways. We were blown away by the quality of the work and even more impressed with how professional and courteous the entire crew is! They even cleaned the pool several times and cleaned the pool filters at the end of the project. 10 stars! **********

We were contracted as a subcontractor on one of CHC jobs. He never paid us for the job we did and doesn’t return our calls.

I am a commercial contractor in Mobile Al. where Pete aka CHC enterprise. was adding a loading dock to the old Kmart store in shopping center, they contracted to hire my crew then left state saying check was in mail and they did not send it after using my crew to complete job, I will be taking legal action against this crook. I would recommend CHC Construction to everyone! They rebuilt our driveway in the time they said they would, and we are thrilled with the results! Tracy kept us informed as the work was being done. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

These guys just installed an exposed aggregate patio at my home and I’m very impressed. Pete came out, saw the project, quoted it, fit us in EARLY and his guys took out all the pavers and poured the patio. Professional, friendly, but most importantly knew what they were doing and did a great job..thanks CHC!

I had Dekorcote applied over my concrete patio by CHC Construction. Installation was not perfect and Pete failed to make it right in the remaining good weather months. Now it's January and I see a huge crack in the Dekorcote. I called Pete to report this problem and followed up with sending him pictures. No word or follow up from him as the weather warmed. I called and got Pete to come see the problems in early May. It is now October and no word from Pete. Do not use this company as they do not care about you once they have your money and their work is sub-par.
UPDATE May 2019: finally came to remove the Dekorcote in August 2018 but never returned to reinstall. Called Pete this spring and asked for my money back or a different product. Pete agreed to do stamped concrete. Yesterday they did the work and another sloppy job! I think the workers he sent to do my job had never done this kind of work before and they finished quickly, sloppily and fled before I returned from a doctor’s appointment. I don’t know how the other reviewer with stamped concrete got such a perfect job and mine is a mess. Also they never came back to seal the concrete. Please save yourself the nightmare I’ve had and use another company!

CHC construction widened my driveway and did a versa lok wall for me. They were very friendly company. The company cared about me as a customer and the owner, Pete, showed up on the job daily to make sure the work contracted was being done in an efficient manner. I was very pleased with the overall job and will plan to use them for future work.
