We had to replace the sidewalk in front of our house and decided to install some slab as well. They were so responsive and the project turned out great. They were recommended to us by a friend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my other friends.

Great company to work with. They provided detailed and fair pricing for a colored, stamped concrete job at residential location. The job was completed on time, the site was kept tidy during the work and the workmanship was excellent. The employees were friendly, efficiently communicated progress with us and we were very pleased with the job.

I highly recommend Kodiak Construction. Work was a concrete driveway extended to circular driveway and pavers installed to the front entryway. I'm highly recommending David, Kristina, and their tradesmen for many reasons:
1) Professionals with seriously high standards. They were the only company who could match the elevation of the existing driveway, existing pavers, and keep a drainage slope.
2) Communication before, during, and after the job was excellent. Kristina in particular.
3) PG&E in their infinite wisdom spray painted the existing concrete driveway in yellow after I told The Illuminati, in person, that day, the new driveway was going on the opposite side of the lot and don't put paint on the concrete driveway. Kodiak removed PG&E's grafitti - no charge.
4) The chemistry of that company is great. David and the crew during the three days, in particular, was very cool to watch.

I've got Kodiak tapped for the backyard as soon as I can figure out what to do with that disaster. Seriously, these guys are great.

We frequently use Kodiak because their capable, committed, and they do quality work. From small patio repair/extensions, to complex multi-faceted foundations they get the job done in a timely manner, the work is always accurate and good looking. Don't hesitate to call and include them in your building team.

Dave evaluated my project and his knowledge and experience was immediately recognized as he solved some critical slope issues across a network of walkways. His crew was experienced with a couple of people brought in with special skills to insure the proper slopes and finish. They were able to complete my project within less than two weeks with no delays. There were no fancy finishes such as exposed rocks but it was done cleanly and uniformly, just as I wished. There was one glitch at an unusual corner that resulted in a fine crack, but it was repaired with a rebar rod for strength and epoxy with no sign of the crack or any damage to the corner after 4 or 5 months. It came with a promise of further repair if it failed, which I accept given everything I now know about the company. I would recommend Kodiak to anyone wishing the services of a concrete contractor.

I have known and worked with David for almost 30 years. I am a Bay Area Drainage Contractor and have a need from time to time on various Projects for good quality construction services for some of my Clients. Recently in March 2014 I had a Project in Benicia needing to be completed and David and his crew came in and poured a large beautiful driveway and new front walkway. Kodiak excavated my old lawn that was ruined by drought and roots from neighboring redwood trees. They poured a large stamped, stained and reinforced patio to combat future redwood roots and conserve water. Also had them install a fire pit and curbing for flower beds.

David and his crew were great. They did quality work and were very responsive and adaptable as the project evolved and presented us with unforeseen challenges. I highly recommend Kodiak for landscaping concrete work. I would most definitely use them again.

I had my driveway entryway redone including excavation of the existing brick and cement and a new cement entryway constructed. Kodiak - Dave and his crew - did an excellent and professional job. Dave and his office staff communicated with me regarding the schedule. The crew were timely, professional and cleaned up after they were done. Their suggestions improved my finished product. The price was competitive. I highly recommend them to others and would use them again.

David and his crew just completed a complete driveway replacement for us. They did a really great job! The job was thorough, and the site was always left neat and clean. David was responsive to our concerns throughout the project and really acted as a partner in helping us to create the vision of the driveway we wanted. He was flexible about last minute design changes and contributed some good ideas as well. His office assistant, Kristina, was also great -- always friendly and immediately responsive to our emails and phone calls. She kept us well informed about scheduling and next steps. David is very experienced and really knows his stuff -- highly recommend.

We met with three concrete contractors for a new circular driveway, new sidewalk around to front door, new front entry and step, and back patio. We went with Kodiak and were happy we did. Owner David was on site every day for the several weeks our job was open (there was significant demolition in the beginning...). David and his crew were extremely hardworking and respectful and did a great job. We went with tinted concrete and some partswere stamped. We continue to like it very much and would use them again in a heartbeat.

David and his team are true professionals and take pride in their work. We engaged Kodiak Construction to install over 2000 sq ft of stamped concrete in our side and backyard in early 2016 and it still looks great today. As you can see in the photos they do the job right using the proper amount of gravel and rebar. They also installed area drains and tied the pipes into our existing downspout drainage system. I have recommended Kodiak Construction on Next Door to other individuals looking for concrete work (patio's, driveways, etc.). David himself has years of experience laying concrete as he mentioned to me that he was engaged in many of the development projects in Danville and San Ramon as those cities grew. His company is also Diamond Certified.

We received bids from several contractors for our job, which required (1) the removal of existing flagstone, dead grass, and junipers, and (2) installation of approximately 1100 sf of pavers and two low retaining walls.

Kodiak promptly responded to my voicemail message. David, the owner, came on time for a free estimate. He's low key, friendly, and easy going. He took measurements and notes and about a week later, he sent a quote. (The quote was just a basic overview of the proposed work - it was NOT the contract, which is a separate document). The quote was considerably less than the highest competitor's quotes.

Kodiak is one of the few contractors that I've encountered that actually uses a contract form that complies with the California Business & Professions Code requirements. This is a very underrated aspect when it comes to hiring a contractor (many companies skip the requirement or even try to include backward terms like having the homeowner indemnify the contractor(!)).

The work started on the day they said. His crew worked hard every day. David came a couple of times to monitor the progress. While it took a few more days than expected, the additional time was very reasonable because the area had some slope, which they were able to level quite a bit.

As the photos show, the finished work looks amazing.

Dan and his crew did our foundation revision. We are very happy with his work. He communicates well and often and is always available when questions and other requests come up.

I hired AcuStruct to drill 3 holes 21' deep. It was in a tight spot with overhead wires so the job required a portable drilling rig. They were really busy but they were able to send a team out within a few days. Kevin and Emiliano came out, showed up on time, and were quick and efficient with their work. They are clearly experienced with the equipment. The holes were drilled perfectly and the project came in under budget. I highly recommend AcuStrut for your drilling needs.

I hired AcuStruct for a backyard project that involved replacing multiple failing cinder block retaining walls with soldier walls. They were one of several companies recommended by the Geotechnical engineer who did the design work and job plans. They expanded the footprint of the backyard to accommodate a hot tub and constructed a gorgeous redwood beam/steel and a second concrete/steel retaining wall. Soldier walls involve setting steel H beams deep in the ground using portable drills. They also repoured the patio to be more level, widened a stairway for better flow from the kitchen and improved water run off. Dan has a good eye, great ideas, was communicative, and their prices are competitive. Highly recommend this company!

Be warned. I called to get a quote. The person who answered was very rude for no reason at all. He took my info and then hung up on me. Unprofessional and a giant red flag. I will NOT use this company for any services.

I asked around regarding having the 2 car driveway (62 years old) replaced at my mom's house. First and best response was CE Construction. While Chad was there giving me a price I also asked about replacing the large concrete patio in the backyard. One section had pretty good size cracks and the other was section needed replacing for esthetics purposes. Chad gave me a great price on both. Work commenced on the day he promised. His crew was methodical, even paced a nd knew what they were doing. They worked carefully around the area of the driveway where the sprinkler system went and never hit a line or sprinkler head. Kudos to Norman on the back hoe. The areas were cleaned up and look really good. I highly recommend this company for their work, diligence, timely finish and most of all price. Im hoping some of my neighbors also contact them as every driveway in the neighborhood except mine and my neighbor who also had them do her driveway, sidewalk, porch and new section to the side door entrance, needs to be replaced. Beautiful job there too. Thanks again to the crew and company. Job well done guys.
