Reviews of local pros in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Shortly after I sent photos to Mike Regan of our decaying deck, he came and discussed what we wanted and made recommendations, and brought samples and models of different styles and colors of composite material. Very helpful was sending us to the lumber yard in Enfield which sold the materials where we could see full size examples of the products and visualize various colors, decks, stairs and railings. Mike was very good at explaining what options we had and what he suggested we consider doing. His crew was professional, efficient and painstaking with the small details. In five days they removed the old wooden deck, added an additional support post to accommodate an increase of 16 sq. ft. (for total 238 sq. ft.) and completed the work. He and his crew answered our questions about the various stages and methods of construction which gave us utmost confidence in their capabilities. Decks are their specialty and primary business. We are very pleased with the results of their work and highly recommend Regan Total Construction. 5/12/2020

Built a deck, patio, and pergola to create a perfect outdoor space for our family. They provided great communication, accommodated our schedule before guests arrived, and every member of the team was professional from start to finish. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience from end to end. After contacting many contractors about building a deck for our new home we settled on Michael Regan and his team. Throughout the bid process he was the most responsive, took the time to create something within both budget and experience desires in mind, and answered every question we had. Once we signed the contract with Michael he recommended we go to a local spot to pick out colors and gave us some great recommendations. When time came to schedule the work he was clear and specific about when his team would arrive and when they would be complete. His team and workers were polite, clean, professional, showed up each day on time and worked quickly, thoroughly and most importantly with highest quality in mind. We couldn’t be happier with both the finished product and the process. Michael is a rare find in an industry where it feels nearly impossible to trust the word and work product of a contractor.

Superior replacement deck, Mike’s timeframe was accurate and he suggested creative possibilities. His team provided expert workmanship and completed project in 5 days. Highly recommend.

We just had a trex deck added on to our house & it’s beautiful!! Mike listened to our needs & designed the perfect size deck. The project went smoothly & started a month earlier than expected which I was very happy about. The crew that built the deck were nice guys! Very professional & on time everyday.

Mike Regan and team at Regan Total Construction were great from beginning to end, working through a number of design choices about replacing our current decks, and recommending materials and design to maximize our space/value. Conversations w/Mike were always very transparent in terms of how design and materials would impact cost and functionality, and what choices we could make that might impact those things. Once we got going, his team doing the build could not have been more professional -- very communicative extremely conscious of our property -- they were much more concerned than I was about things like where they parked, keeping everything clean, and ensuring that their work wouldn't be an interruption to us. We were out of town for part of the install, and they even helped us take care of a delivery to the house while we were gone. When I did have questions about buildout, materials, building codes, etc., we always the information we needed. Could not ask for a better process or team!

Mike and his team at Regan Total Construction did an amazing job with our new Trek deck. His team was extremely friendly and worked really hard to complete the job in a timely manner. Our experience with Mike was excellent in every way. Looking forward to enjoying our beautiful deck for many years to come. We highly recommend Regan Total Construction for any job.

Reached out to this company but was unable to connect due to poor cell service. Much later, I called for professional advice when I had active water intrusion during a laminate floor installation. Received very on point advice and was extremely impressed that he took time to discuss this stressful issue on the phone.Although I have no personal experience with his carpentry, I am very impressed by his character in helping a stranger in need. Hopefully I will experience his professional expertise in the future.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the work of Regan Total Construction. Mike was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Very responsive from the first phone call till the completion of the project. The crew was very personable, professional, hardworking and super tidy. Couldn’t believe how clean the job site was at the end of each day. With having parking under the deck we never had to worry about loose nails or debris. RTC removed an old wood deck and frame and replaced with Trex lineage in Rainier. Absolutely beautiful. The project was completed in a few short days and we will have decades of enjoyment. Thank you to Mike and his team! Would definitely recommend for any future needs!

Michael Regan was great to work with from the initial phone call to in person review of our ask. His team was great and professional. They had excellent workmanship and the place was spic and span every day after the work was complete. Michael Regan promised us the deck in three weeks and he completed it with great professionalism. We are extremely pleased with our deck, thank you

Mike and his team at Regan Total Construction completed a project for us in May.  The new TREX deck is beautiful, and in all respects from start to finish, we could not have been happier with the entire experience.  Every step of the way from demolition to completion, Mike and his hard working crew kept us fully apprised of what was happening, and there were never any surprises.  Most notably, Mike is a genuinely terrific guy - personable, super friendly, and a pleasure to work with.  He is an expert professional who is incredibly responsive and ALWAYS available to promptly answer our questions, provide creative ideas, and advise us on various options.   We're grateful to have discovered Mike Regan, and we can't emphasize enough how proud we are of our new deck!

I am absolutely blown away by the performance and quality of the entire team at Regan Total Construction. I take a great deal of pride in my professional work and it was refreshing to FINALLY deal with a contractor that does the same. Mike Regan was phenomenal on the quoting and design phase of the project and kept my informed on his installation timeline every step. He was also prepared and very professional. Once Matt Elchner, his project manager, took over my project it went off without a hitch. 2600 sq/ft of complete tear out and deck replacement, installed in the harsh cold of December in CT. ON TIME, ON BUDGET and literally not one mistake or extra. All of his staff clearly take a great deal of pride in their craftsmanship and customer communication. Ed, Matt, Steve, Chris, Alex, Zach and Mikey THANK YOU! You are all welcome back anytime to hang out or drop a line on the pond. If you are considering RTC for your deck project I think you would be foolish to look anywhere else. True professionals across the board.

We really couldn't be more pleased with Regan Total Construction and our new deck. Mike and his team are organized and professional, and they do beautiful work. We signed the contract on February 1st, the footings were in by February 18, and our deck was completed the first week in May. Construction took two weeks (as promised), and the job site was immaculate when they were finished. We look forward to enjoying our beautiful deck for decades to come.

We worked with Mike and his team on a brand new Trex deck. We loved working with Mike. He was extremely responsive, had great ideas for us to implement as we were discussing the project, and had the deck completed in a timely manner and looking great! With this being our first deck project - Mike made the process extremely easy and answered all of questions. His team was professional and did a great job with the build, cleaning up, and having the deck ready to go. Mike coordinated with plumbers and electricians to make sure this project incorporated all of our deck needs. We can't wait to start using it!

From consultation to completion Regan Total Construction was excellent. Professional and efficient staff who seemed genuinely happy building our beautiful deck. We highly recommend Mike and his crew for your project.

What can I say these guys are fantastic. Built the deck of my dreams (actually 2) that should last me for the rest of my life. If you have any questions Michael and his crew will answer them, if you have any changes to your plans they will work with you to change them. Craftsmanship, Communication, professionalism, and taking care of the customer are there top priorities. Couldn’t be happier with them and my brand new deck/s!

Mike and his team did an exceptional job on our new deck. Communication was outstanding from start to finish. The schedule was exactly as promised. The project stayed on track with no surprises and the end result is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Regan Total Construction we could not be happier with our new multi level Trex deck. Mike and his team were amazing to work with from first meeting to completed project. Mike is a true professional and was so accommodating during the planning process. His quick responses to our questions and excellent design suggestions helped us feel empowered and confident every step of the way. They removed our old wooden deck, replaced it with beautiful composite trex decking and rails, and added a second lower level deck all in about 3 weeks once construction began. We highly recommend Regan Total Construction for any job, big or small.

Best contractor we have ever worked with! Mike and his team did an amazing job. The proposal process was comprehensive and transparent. Mike was particularly helpful consulting on deck design, colors and finishes, and lighting. The project started and finished on time, with all the moving pieces (dumpster, material delivery, demolition) meticulously organized. The team was professional, friendly, and kept the worksite clean and organized during the two week project. The owner, Mike Regan, was engaged from start to finish. The project even finished under-budget! I highly recommend Regan Total Construction.

Loved them. Michael is very professional and knowledgeable. He worked with us on the design we wanted and really brought it to life. The install was quick and done to perfection. Even the other crew members were friendly and professional. Their pricing was also right on point. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I first contacted Mike last summer after a referral I received from a family member. First off - my family member has very high standards so that says a lot right there. When I first began the process with Mike I spoke with him over the phone first and did the rest through email, photos of my previous deck. . He sent me numerous photos of
Decks he completed previously. I saw a color scheme and several things I liked in one of his decks that I wanted to incorporate into mine. His initial quote was extremely detailed as well as all of my interactions with him were detailed. He provided finance options up front if I was interested in that. Several months after my first correspondence I decided to meet in person to go over the specifics before and within a couple weeks I chose his company after 3 other quotes which were all within the same price range. Mike has a very calm spirit and he was patient
With me as I asked the same questions over and over again before the deck was built and during the process. Customer service is huge for me. Mike was excellent with communication, being prompt and keeping me Informed of steps alongThe way when his staff Would Be there. I added poles in the middle of the project so I can hang lights and he gave me ideas of how
To hang them and was willing to help me with that. I can’t wait to decorate and use my new space. I know I hired the right company for the job. Trex Deck with Spiced Rum and Havana Gold, spiced rum cocktail railings with black aluminum used. The owner also had someone drop off long sample boards of colors I liked to help me
Decide what I liked best. I also loved that it was completed in about 5
Days. I am still waiting for him to get back to me about installing the lights so I do hope he will follow through on this because I would not have added the tall poles . I completely understand his company is busy, but I honestly don’t trust anyone else to do it. I simply want to make sure it is done right after having a beautiful deck built by his company. I will update photos as landscaping improves throughout the summer. I added a photo to show how the deck now connects to my preexisting patio that I had a sealer placed on it to match well with my deck.
