Reviews of local pros in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Mike and his crew are extremely professional, very efficient and the work is top quality. The project from start to finish was very smooth. They removed our old deck and built new with a larger footprint that connects to the above ground pool.

We had a great experience with Regan Total Construction. Mike was easy to work with and the whole team were very professional. They tore down and rebuilt our deck with an extension in a week. The craftsmanship is first class and they cleaned up after themselves each day before leaving. We’ll use these guys again, thanks Mike and team. Great job!

Mike and the entire team at Regan Total Construction deserve the good reviews. They redesigned and installed our back deck, front porch, and outdoor shower. They were very transparent about the project. It started and finished on time. Communication was excellent. We are very happy with the end result. Everything was built to code, rock solid and it looks great. Being Trex Certified means that they will get the job done RIGHT.

Look no further. Mike and his team of professionals just finished our deck late Spring and we are beyond satisfied with the outcome. I first reached out to Mike one year before the project started. Mike provided a detailed estimate and gave us valuable information to begin planning our project. Once we were ready to move forward, Mike worked with us patiently throughout the whole process from start to finish. Mike had a detailed plan for each of the unique circumstances (i.e. moving baseboard heaters, installing a new slider, removing old deck /footings and sealing up old door). Mike was extremely flexible throughout the process and provided thoughtful suggestions to help us get everything we wanted. The team that built our deck matched Mike's professionalism and the quality of the craftsmanship was outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend Regan Total Construction to anyone.

From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure working with Regan Total Construction for our Trex deck. Mike was professional, knowledgeable and always reachable. Even after the project was complete, Mike was available for questions. He truly puts his customers needs above all else. His team was prompt every day and put quality first. The workers made every effort to build a perfect deck. Highly recommend using this company for your next home project.

Our family loved working with Mike and his crew. Mike was extremely professional, honest, thoughtful, responsive and creative. Importantly, he listened to each and every concern and preference we had and truly cared. His crew was respectful and so detail oriented. Before we worked with Regan Total Construction, we did our diligence. The reference calls I did were spot on. There were no surprises or disappointments during the process. And, the end product is phenomenal! We absolutely love our partially covered deck and outdoor kitchen. We would work with Mike and his team again and again and highly recommend them.

Mike Regan and his Regan Total Construction
crew did an outstanding job on our new Trex deck. They were extremely professional, efficient and detail oriented. In addition to the actual deck construction, Mike Regan was very helpful in assisting us with the overall deck design. I would recommend RTC to anyone without reservation.

Our experience with Mike was excellent in every way. From the start, Mike, and every member of his team, were polite, professional and friendly. He listened to exactly what we wanted, and he delivered. His communications with us were clear and thoughtful, and his responses were timely. Mike was flexible with any modifications we added during the project. The completion of the project was earlier than Mike had promised, while the quality of the work exceeded our high expectations. We would highly recommend Mike for any future project.

Give Mike a call for your next deck project! The price was a little over budget but the work is spectacular. Mike and his crew lead by Zack work quick but extremely efficient. Mike was also able to get us on the schedule a little earlier then he initially agreed on.He was also very good on communication with updates or delays.I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new deck or work to an existing deck to give Mike at Regan Total Construction a call.

We are very happy with our new Trex deck! It is a vast improvement over the old falling-apart wood one. Mike did a great job and was very easy to work with. His crew has a terrrific attention to detail and they are very friendly. We recommend Regan Total Construction to anyone wishing to build a new deck. -- Bruce and Melanie, Manchester, CT

Mike and his crew were great from start to finish. Mike took our vague (and somewhat awkward) idea and came up with a design that far exceeded our expectations. The crew showed up the first day right on time and worked steadily every day until the job was done and done right. They were professional, kind, and clearly skilled in their trade. Cannot recommend these guys enough

Exactly what you’re looking for in a deck contractor. I’m very happy with the entire project. Mike Regan is exactly what I was looking for in a contractor. He is aware of the investment a project like this is and doesn't take it lightly. He really listened to what I was looking for, and was ready with suggestions to help me achieve what I envisioned. He was also very easy to work with when it came to changes I wanted to make and always responded right away with any questions. I also had a patio built under the deck and Mike connected me with a hardscape contractor. They are two different companies but they work well with each other. Mike made it all very easy for me.

His crew was absolutely great. Very professional, organized, and definitely skilled. I am really happy with their workmanship. They worked on my project throughout the winter, even when it was snowing. There were a couple times during the framing process when conditions were icy and not safe to walk along the joists which are at a second level height. Mike was immediately in contact, keeping me up to date with situations like that (which there were very few of) as well as all phases of the project which was completed right on schedule.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mike Regan for everyone’s deck project.

What a wonderful company and Michael is such a nice guy. He’s thorough, organized, speedy, and very personable! I highly recommend him and his company for any service they provide!

I am writing this review while sitting on my new deck, sipping coffee on this beautiful spring morning. I couldn’t be happier if I was on vacation in some faraway place. I knew the deck would be a big improvement, but I’m surprised at just how much I love it now that it’s done.

Regan Total Construction was a great company to work with. Since my project was a large, second story deck with a rain escape system to cover the patio I have planned below, I wanted to be sure it was not only beautiful but safe and sound. Based on their portfolio, reviews, and credentials I was sure RTC had the experience and qualifications for the job.

The whole process went so smoothly. Mike is organized, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. He takes the time to listen to what you want, offers suggestions and ideas, and helps you work through all the decisions. Every step of the process was communicated clearly, and if I had questions he always responded promptly. The guys were here every day like clockwork, unless it was really pouring rain, and they got everything done when they said they would. It was a pleasure doing business with Mike and his team.

I am writing this review with a view of my new deck and could not be happier. From my initial contact with Mike Regan, I was 100% sure he would be the contractor that we went with when we first considered getting our new composite deck. Mike emailed me back promptly, taking the time to address each and every one of my questions in detail. His knowledge and attention to detail was evident immediately. It was clear that he was methodical and thoughtful and the ultimate professional.

Mike, Matt and every member of the crew were a dream to work with. They were incredibly professional and very hard working. The crew became members of our family that week as my sons excitedly watched their trucks arrive in the morning and loved to watch the construction being done. ("Construction" became the go-to game in our house!) Matt even gave my older son a Regan Total Construction baseball cap which he still wears proudly as his construction hat whenever we go out!

The deck itself is incredible. Sleek and beautiful and has become my favorite view or place to sit. We could not be happier with the finished product or the experience from start to finish, Regan Total construction is a no brainer for your next project.

We hired Regan Total Construction to build us a new deck. These guys were great. From start to finish, everything went smooth and the new deck looks perfect. I would highly recommend!

Mike and his crew did an amazing job replacing our old deck with a new trex deck. They were courteous, hardworking and detail oriented all the way through. Would recommend for anyone's deck project.

From the first conversations, I was comfortable working with Mike Regan of Regan Total Construction (RTC). He came with a recommendation as a precise carpenter. As we talked though the replacement of my old deck, it was clear that he wanted cut corners or compromise quality. Mike recommended replacing all the old frame even though it seemed solid.

We are glad we replaced the frame. RTC covered all the beams and joists with tape to protect from water intrusion. We no longer will have worries about the frame, as it will outlast us.

All three contractors we got estimates from recommended Trex. RTC was the only authorized Trex installer. So we also got a labor warranty from Trex, not just material warranty.
While Mike wasn’t on site here a lot, his crew has that same exacting, high quality ethic. They removed a section of deck because it didn’t meet well. (Old deck wasn’t exactly square, and they used those measurements.) The section looks much better after it was redone. And they also worked hard.

Mike has been great to deal with the last little details as well.

Bottom line, if you want a company that will build a deck for you as if they were building it for their own home, go with Regan Total Construction.

RTC built my dream deck/screened porch. The work was on time and professionally done by a great team of guys. I highly recommend them.

I am please to share with all, my wife and I are over the moon regarding the construction of our new deck. The Regan Total Construction Company LLC, performed at the highest level measurable. From the owner Micheal to the project manager and the three professional, highly skill, knowledgeable carpenters it has been an excellent enjoyable experience.
