Constraction reviews in Canton, Connecticut

We hired Zac and his crew to completely gut and remodel a full bathroom. It was a fairly complicated job based upon an interior designer's plan. ZN Construction did a perfect job with it. But more than that, the communication from Zac about the project was great, his crew was very attentive to keeping the house clean, and all were friendly, trustworthy and reliable. The level of customer service was much better than what one would typically experience with a contractor. Definitely will use ZN for future projects.

Our experience with ZN Construction was fabulous from beginning to end. They remodeled our entire master bath and painted our master bedroom. Zac and his team were wonderful to work with from the initial estimation to last minute touch ups. They were even able to add an additional emergency job of roof and drywall repair, painting and carpet install. This was all in the planned timeframe! Quality was great, and any small issues were addressed very quickly. Zac was very responsive via text, phone, and email. We love our remodel and would use ZN Construction again for an remodel work in our home.

ZN Construction completed a job for our neighbor who raved about their work and Zac’s communication. I have to say we experienced the same! Good communication, professionalism and a team that pays attention to detail is essential. We were very satisfied with their work replacing a garage support pole and are in the process of having Zac quote another project for us. We highly recommend ZN Construction and will continue to go to Zac with any future needs we may have.

The team were a dream to work with, from start to finish. Highly professional, but friendly and easygoing; like working with neighbors, not strangers. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
2023 and we just finished our third project with ZN and they were fantastic, as usual. Everyone at ZN were patient with our endless questions and they were very helpful with ways to save money on the project without sacrificing quality. They never tried to get us to spend more money than we absolutely needed to. Zac and his team were very concerned with the project's impact on our daily life and they always left the project area cleaner than they found it. They go the extra mile and they're folks you'll enjoy having in your home and working with.

I had a relatively small job (a single broken window) that I needed fixed when I called ZN. They told me from the beginning that they were quite busy, but would squeeze a small project in between their larger projects. Zac was in constant communication with me and as soon as the window was delivered, they got me on the schedule, true to their word. And once they got here, the guys were great, everything you'd want them to be and the price was exactly as quoted originally. If you want a professional job done, know what you're going to pay for it and have good communication in the process, you need to call these guys. They're good,

We've used ZN Construction for 4 projects in our house (wallpaper removal and painting, custom bookshelf, custom storage wall shelf, bathroom counter installation). They did an incredible job, were professional, tidy, efficient and great to work with! I highly recommend them and am looking forward to hiring them again in the future!

Additional Review 2024: We had ZN come back for a larger project in our master bedroom which included adding a walk-in closet and vanity and a complete bathroom remodel of our master bathroom. We had the same experience as always, and the space came out exactly how I pictured it. Zac and his team were patient and professional, and their skill and attention to detail are hard to beat. I would highly recommend ZN for any job, big or small!

We finished recently used ZN to finish our basement. Zac and team were responsive and very thorough. I was impressed with the time and detail they took throughout the quoting and planning process - something that other contractors did not do. ZN stayed within budget, communicated status of each step of a very large project and was always available for questions or tweaks/changes to our decisions. We will be using ZN again for future projects!

We used ZN to do a full remodel of our kitchen. Included cabinets, countertops, appliances and repairs to our damaged hardwood floors from water! Their attention to detail is remarkable! The cabinet install, trim work and tile backsplash install was amazing! The whole team were great to deal with. Communication was exceptional and they left the house clean after every day. Chad and Eric were exceptional to deal with and felt they were a part of the family when they were here. Zac and Joe were great with details about how the progress of the project was going! We highly recommend ZN and will be using them in the future for a bathroom remodel as well as a deck renovation!

The team from ZN are fantastic. We had ZN install our new kitchen after a water issue. The team are responsive, professional and friendly. Every day they showed up on time and left the house and working areas clean and organized. The quality of work is excellent and was finished faster than we expected. We are very happy with their work and we would use them again and recommend them to others.

Everything about our experience with ZN Construction was positive - timely responses, personal attention, great skilled staff. We can't say enough about their communication. They always let us know when they would be at our home and arrived within minutes of when they had said. We received regular check-ins from the owner and a crew member even made sure we had a back-up phone number for one of them when Zac was away. The crew were very easy to work with, very skilled, and meticulous in their cleaning each day. We would definitely use ZN Construction again.

We highly recommend ZN Construction. We have used them for two projects over the past couple of years and they are the perfect fit for us. Zac and his crew are all very courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and are really good at what they do. They perform stellar work and their attention to detail is impecable. In addition to other things, we had some in wall electrical work done (running the electrical throughout two of the three walls of our finished garage) and we were extemely impressed with the drywall repair and mud work that Chad and the other ZN workers did. Their repair and mud work was so good that even without painting the walls yet, you almost can't tell that the walls were even opened. Unlike some contractors we reached out to who never responded, ZN Construction has always contacted us back. We were able to easily discuss the project plans via email, in person, and on the phone. They genuinely care about you as a customer and accomplishing the projects that you are looking to have done the right way and without cutting corners. They treat you more as a friend and not just a number, don't rush the job, and follow up to make sure you are happy with everything. We believe that they will have many years of success as their crew is the perfect fit for the company and everyone seems to take pride in the high quality work they do for their customers.

I recently hired ZN construction to renovate my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and professional.

The ZN team were extremely knowledgeable and skilled, offering valuable advice and suggestions throughout the project. They were always punctual, respectful of my home, and kept me updated on the progress.

The quality of their workmanship is top-notch. My new kitchen looks absolutely stunning, and I've received countless compliments from friends and family. I appreciate the attention to detail and the care they put into every aspect of the job.

I would highly recommend ZN Construction to anyone looking for a reliable and talented contractor. Thank you for transforming my kitchen into a beautiful and functional space!

ZN Construction exceeded all expectations from the initial contact to the completion of our structural repair/full kitchen remodel. We had extensive water damage including a rotted sill plate and deteriorated wall that was exposing our siding. ZN stepped in and made the repairs and full kitchen remodel seamless. Their precision and attention to detail made us feel at ease every step of the way. Chad and Kevin were very professional and meticulous when working each day. Zac, Chad and Kevin were easy to work with, always let us know what they were doing next and were right on schedule. Thank you for giving us our home back. We are very grateful.

ZN Construction recently completed replacement of several large windows and doors in our home. Work was started and completed on schedule. Their workmanship and professionalism is highly commendable. We are extremely happy with the finished project and highly recommend this company. We plan to use ZN Construction with future remodeling projects.

We recently bought a new home that had some roof issues and solicited a few bids to have it replaced. Out of the 3 bids, ZN Construction was not the lowest but he offered premium materials and warranties we were looking for in this size of a purchase. Zac was able to start the job very promptly and the crew worked diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. Toward the end of the roofing job, we all examined areas of the roof that needed a little extra attention and those were taken care of immediately. I was impressed with the clean up from the crew, they were very diligent in sweeping the area around the house and especially the driveway for nails and debris. Incredibly happy the previous issues are gone and the look of the GAF HDZ shingles look great. Now I probably need to paint in the spring so the rest of the house looks good. Thanks again Zac & crew!

Not only did ZN Construction complete our extensive kitchen remodel on time and within the estimated budget, they did it with impeccable workmanship and great communication. Throughout our renovation, Zac and his team stayed in contact with us to keep us updated and address our concerns. Eric and Mike checked in with us every morning, were always willing to answer questions and left everything clean and organized at the end of each day. Even months later, Zac still checks in to see if we have noticed any issues that need to be addressed. We could not be happier with both the way the project went and the finished result.

We recently had ZN update a bathroom and install custom built-ins in two rooms in our house and they did an amazing job - we highly recommend them. They communicated well at every stage of the process. They provided a rough estimate early on when I could barely get other contractors to respond and as they finished projects ahead of us in the queue, Zac was in regular contact about a start date (which they were able to move up). They treated our home like their own, keeping the mess to a minimum, and by the end of the project even our dog was sad to see them go. There were a few unavoidable change of orders needed and they adapted seamlessly and provided options to keep costs down. What stood out the most was Chad and Kevin's passion for their work and their craftsmanship. They wanted to get everything right, offering lots of great ideas for the design of the built-ins and incorporating every feature we wanted. The entire process from start to finish was smooth and we have no doubts that we'll be enjoying their work for years to come. ZN is the best contractor we've ever worked with. Definitely check them out.

ZN Construction rennovated my bathroom. They tiled the tub/shower, added a new bathtub, installed a glass shower door, installed new bathtub/shower fixtures and added tile from floor to ceiling.

This was a great experience. ZN gave me a solid, well constructed, quality finished project that’s truly stunning. From start to finish everything was seamless. They were on time, took care working in the house and cleaned at the end of every day. Communication was excellent and the work was efficient. Thanks to Eric and Ryan for their tiling expertise and craftsmanship (truly gorgeous result) Joe who was always engaged and responsive and Anna for showcasing the process and projects. I will absolutely use ZN for all my rennovation projects.

We’re finalizing a project with ZN and we have had the absolute best experience. We wanted a whole house renovation and the team delivered well beyond our expectations. Joe was amazing to work with from the initial quoting process through planning and execution. He was patient and knowledgeable anytime I had questions. When the work began we met the full team and we were blown away by their professionalism and attention to detail. Ryan was an incredible project manager, onsite every day and in constant communication with us. He also was great anytime I needed design advice! We also had Mike, Eric and Kevin on our job and they were all so friendly, helpful and meticulous. I have raved to family and friends about our experience and will absolutely be calling ZN for any and all future projects. Zac - you have one hell of a team. Thank you!

ZN Construction and crew did a fabulous job with our new roof and new siding! They were dependable, on time, attentive to detail, clean, friendly and, in particular, professional and extremely efficient! I would highly recommend Zac Neville and the crew at ZN Construction! I will definitely be calling them for future projects!

Zac and his crew are extremely professional and very quick with their work. Each time I have worked with them they did amazing work, explained everything to me, and addressed any of my concerns. They are my #1 choice for projects around the house. The owner, Zac, always made sure to personally speak with me to make sure I was happy with their work!
