Reviews of local pros in Ellington, Connecticut

Fred at Green Meadow has been taking care of our lawn for 2 years now. He really takes the time to ensure a perfect fertilizer application each and every time. He always provides me with insight on how to better my lawns health. I recommend Green Meadow to everyone.

Since contracting with Green Meadow Lawn Care, my lawn looks amazing - a literal green carpet. I cannot say enough great things about this company. They are always timely & professional. I rarely notice their presence, except for the fact that my yard looks pristine and I don't have a green thumb whatsoever, so I know it's not because of me!

Dave and the team at Green Meadow are absolutely top-notch! Nobody around is offering this quality level of service, customer support and results for lawn care.
I inherited a desert when we bought our home a few years ago and within only two seasons of servicing, I'm finally competing for the very best lawn on the street! It's all thanks to Dave, Nate and the other Dave who have always offered the most comprehensive customer service, products and attention to detail throughout this rejuvenation process! We also appreciate them treating our property for ticks. With two young children, it's important to us, and we've never found one since we've lived here!

Green Meadow Lawn Care has saved our lawn and made it one of the most beautiful lawns in our neighborhood! Our Service Technician Fred Caswell always does a great job! Give them a chance and they will help your lawn be beautiful too! -Ray and Trish Bolduc

Hello I highly recommend green meadow if they’re a problem you can call and they’re right on it. They seeded my yard this fall it looks the best it ever has. I also got 2 Neibors to sign up. I thank Ryan and the rest of the crew from green meadow

I recently had to switch lawn fertilizer companies due to less than desirable results. green meadow came out and took right over. They came out to overseed and aerate and got me right in. The service they provide is like no other. Will was the tech who came out and serviced the lawn. They make sure to hit every section of the lawn and aerate 3x in all directions to ensure the most contact to soil with seed. I’m impressed and looking forward to the future with Green Meadow. 5+ stars.

Green Meadow Lawn Care is top notch. Chris is our tech and he kills it every time. He treats the yard as it is his own. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. A+ service.

Dave came to our home on time as always. This visit he did the winter application. He was very thorough. Dave is a great representative for Green Meadow. On top of that, my lawn has never looked better.

Green meadow has been wonderful to work with. At the beginning of the season I get options to adjust my needs and then I get texts the day prior to their visit. Rob is typically at my home first thing in the morning and does a great job with the occasional kid toy obstruction not slowing him down. My lawn was a dirt mess and with their services made it a full lawn

We just started using Green Meadow this year and we have been having a positive experience. Our lawn went to a very bad state last summer. It is so much better this year and I believe it is because of switching from our previous lawn care company to Green Meadow. They provide us a detailed review of the state of the lawn after each treatment and it is very helpful for home owners to understand if there are any issues to be address. Overall very pleased with their service!

I can only say about each visit that Rob appears to do a thorough job covering all areas of my property. I don’t know what or how much he is spreading, but I can say that the results are very good. My lawn has a rich green color and is free of weeds.
Thanks Rob

Tim was out to our property today. I’m never home when the tech is out, but today I was! I was very impressed with his professionalism. He took the time to answer all of my questions and educate me about my areas of concern. We just recently started with Green Meadow and I’m highly impressed so far and optimistic that their comprehensive plan will make us have a beautiful lawn!

Ryan and Chris came to my house today and did a wonderful job. They were both focused on my lawn and they gave me some advice and asked me if I had any other lawn needs. They are both very good at what they do and are customer oriented. I highly recommend them!

I finally got to meet Rob, my lawn technician, and he was personal and professional, and we had a good conversation and then he got to work and did a wonderful job on my lawn, and my lawn has never looked better!

I have been using this service for 3 or 4 years now. It a great service at good price. Yearly I have them fertilize, control weeds, grubs. When I need it I have used them for lawn aeration and over seeding. I would highly recommend them for all those services. I receive a text telling me the plan on coming out I move downspouts. I don't have to time the fertilizer or grub control. Will is the technician who came out and did a great job. It's been my experience all the technicians at Green Meadow are top teir.

Their attention to detail, communication, and pride in their work truly set them apart. Every visit is done with care, and it shows - my lawn has never looked better. I highly recommend Green Meadow Lawn Care to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality service from people who genuinely care about the results.

Green Meadow has made my lawn look perfect for the past couple years. It’s nice to enjoy just mowing and not deal with all the fertilizer applications etc. This company has given me both peace of mind and has made my yard the envy of the neighborhood. My tech Chris W. was quick, efficient, and detail oriented. I look forward to him treating my lawn like his own in the future! Green Meadow is the best lawn care company in northern Hartford County. The results speak for themselves. With affordable payment plans and 5 star service they are a joy to partner with!

They do great work. They are always on time and thorough. They don’t just throw around something and move on, they make sure of complete and even coverage- whether fertilizer or grass seed.I really appreciate Kent’s willingness to walk a steep slope that I am try to grow grass to help with erosion. The service was early, but I got up and peaked to see if they were going to drive down my slope, which never fails to leave tracks and disturbs the fragile hold that there. Nope, Kent walked it and spread the fertilizer the manual spreader. That was awesome to see, thank you!

10/2/2025 - Happy to add, Mike also did a great job. Love the company and the techs, they consistently do good work and my difficult lawn looks wonderful.

We started working with Green Meadow last spring to get our lawn back. It was destroyed by grubs over the years and we tried to restore it ourselves, but didn’t have the time to do it properly.

We prepaid for services from Spring to Fall and the company was great to work with. They were always on time and kept up with the schedule. Our lawn grew back this fall and it looks great.

We had work done by Dave, Matt, and Chris and they were all great.
