Hometown Heating and Cooling was recommended to me by a trusted contractor.
My furnace system needed to be replaced, and Hometown was vetted against two other HVAC companies. From the initial meeting with Matt, Hometown’s attention to detail and direct honest answers to my questions stood out (FYI, I retired from a major HVAC manufacturer, so I understand the systems/estimating).
Hometown was selected upon the vetting’s conclusion. Matt’s communications were always timely throughout the process keeping me informed.
Matt, Dave, and Mike showed up on time/on the initial agreed upon date. All were friendly and professional. The installation’s quality was impressive, and exceeded my expectations.

Our furnace just quit during the storm, and we could not reach the contractor who installed it. An emergency call for a referral led us to Hometown. They responded with speed and skill! Tim showed up to rescue us, figured out the problem and solved it within an hour! He also told us we should schedule a tune-up, which we did. He was knowledgeable and upbeat. This is a family business, and they will be our go-to call in the future! So glad we got the referral. Forget the original contractor!!!

Highly Recommended! I have recently switched to Hometown Heating and Cooling. Everyone is very responsive and easy to work with. My experience with the annual HVAC maintenance cycles is that they have by far outperformed anyone else I’ve used in the past 25 years. Even better, they have been willing to do project work like new zone vent controllers and new whole house humidifiers. Scheduling, Reminders, and Billing are all easy including online payment options. I even like that my appointments for next year are already scheduled.

They previously installed a new oil tank, boiler, and water heater at my home, and the quality of their work was excellent. Beautiful install, professional crew, and everything has run perfectly since day one.

What really set them apart, though, was how they handled an emergency situation for my parents. They had no heat on one of the coldest nights of the year. Even though my parents were not existing customers, I called Hometown to see if they could do an emergency service call. They scheduled it right away, no questions asked other than the address to go to.

They also took time to walk me through how they could try a simple fix themselves to at least get things going for the night. Their advice worked and got their heat back on, and avoided an emergency call entirely. Hometown then refused to charge anything for the help, which was priceless given it was 15 degrees out.

That level of honesty and willingness to help someone who wasn’t even an existing customer says everything about how this company operates.

Tim is top-notch. Extremely knowledgeable. He put in a new air conditioning unit this summer, and just replaced my HVAC and water heater. They are punctual, work very tidy and get the job done! His crew was fantastic.
