Constraction reviews in Vernon, Connecticut

We bought 3 roofs from Tim & his business summer of 2021. One for my dad. One for my office and one for my home. My dad was impressed when the hard working crew: Started work early, were busy bees getting the tasks done and THEN.... They took a nap at 1pm. Laid right down on the ground. 30 minutes later they started again.

I had 2 houses completed in one day & my house (bigger) completed in 1.25 days. I am so happy that we had a tough frigid weather Artic cold winter and all were completed professionally.

Ratings: Work Craft 5/5 stars. Communications 5/5 Stars. Insurance & Paper work 5/5 stars !!!!

I even recommended Tim's Company to join the Tolland County Chamber of Commerce.

Tim and the team were very responsive when we had an issue. He met with our adjuster and myself. He replaced the entire roof. Work was timely and good quality. The workers did a good job cleaning up after themselves.

Tim and Bree were both great to work with. The crew was super professional and made sure the job was done right. They disposed of all the debris and everything was clean when they were finished. CB worked with my Solar Panel installer to make sure timing was convenient for everybody. They worked around some bad weather days, and even came back on a Saturday to finish up when the short winter days robbed them
Of their normal schedule. I will hire them again if I ever need another roof.

Tim and his roofing crew replaced my roof shingles in November 2020. The crew was very professional, hardworking, and superb cleanup at the end of the job. From start to finish Tim walked me thru options, costs, and scheduling. I would use Conventional Builders again for any of my roofing needs. Highly recommend!

We had our roof done a few weeks ago. Our roof is large steep and has lots of angles. They stripped and shingled in one day. Cleaned up the ground and better it was prior to them being there.
No bs just right to business and at the best price around.

We are very pleased with our new roof installed by Conventional Builders. We received quotes from multiple roofers, and CB was the best price and most straight forward to work with. The other companies had pushy salespeople, while CB was friendly with no sales pressure. When the install day arrived, the crew did a great job. They cleaned up well, worked hard all day, and left with the job done on day one. Thanks!

Contacted Tim at Conventional Builders when a random company knocked on my door to check my roof for hail damage.
Conventional Builders has assisted me in the past so I contacted Tim and he was happy to stop by and inspect my roof.
Damage was found, insurance contacted and Tim was there every step of the way even meeting with the adjuster and never missing a beat.
During install more damage was found, I was advised and that was fixed as well.
Tim and his crew were punctual, professional and left my yard nice and clean.
Hope to not need anything anytime soon, but if I do - I will certainly contact Tim again.

Just had my roof replaced by Tim after he came out to replace some shingles that blew off during some strong wind storms.
He got an estimate to us and had a crew out quickly when our 27 year old roof developed a leak.
His crew was very professional and did a thorough cleanup when everything was completed.
I couldn’t be happier with the entire process from beginning to end.

Tim was very professional in preparing all information for replacing our roof, working with insurance adjuster in timely way and a competitive market. The team that did the roofing were efficient , hard working , cleaned everything up , polite, worked hard to do the roof in one day .

Also, Tim provided a reasonable phased approach and options for a screened porch repair/ remodel. The work ensured the porch was safe , new flooring , new skylights, and we are very happy to be able to use the porch again !

We would highly recommend Tim and his team .

Tim was great answered all my concerns, returned all my calls.
Work was completed when promised and in a professional manner.
Would recommend C&B to anyone who has any roof work needed.

Tim, Bree and the crew that came to replace the shingles on my roof, are exceptional. They arrived on time as promised, and went to work immediately. Each person on the crew knew exactly what his or her responsibility was and the job went seamlessly. When they were finished, the area around the house was cleared of all debris and the roof looks great! I recommend Conventional Builders to anyone who wants professional work performed on their home.

Although they were not the lowest quote I received, the others left a lot of open room for overruns and intended to take out the ceiling in the room below. Tim took another approach and intended to have a look from above and let me know if there was structural damage in need of immediate repair and he was true to his quote. This saved me the cost of taking out a plaster ceiling while fixing the leaking issue from above with a beautiful new roof. The work crew was fast and very professional, replacing roofs on 2 extensions in 2 days. There was a small mix-up on roof color, but they gave me a credit for the inconvenience. Communication was challenging at times, but they held to their timelines during a busy season.
UPDATE: Roof is fine but damaged by my son. I have called them for follow-up service and after 5 months, I'm still chasing them. No shows for a scheduled service. Unfortunate. Lowering my rating for lack of commitment to customers after installation.
2nd Update: I confirm the roof has been repaired to my satisfaction and at no charge to me. Thank you.

Don't waste your time calling those big companies. Call Tim at Conventional Builders. Straight forward, no BS honest quote and exceptional job done. Clean up was spotless. I can't say enough good things about this company! I highly recommend CB Roofing.

Buyer beware of who you believe and allow on your roof! After learning that there was suspected hail damage to properties in our area, a brief inspection was completed by an unnamed company stating that we had sustained such damage and would assist us with an insurance claim, provided we hire them to do the work. So, we went ahead to pursue that avenue. An adjuster, followed by an engineer came out to see for themselves and verify the claim. Much to our surprise we discovered that our roof had no so called hail damage at all, and instead was nearing the end of its lifespan. Within a month our Home Owners insurance sent a letter, requiring us to replace our roof or our policy would be cancelled!! We quickly went from hopeful to having a huge expense and a great deal of stress on our hands!! We contacted several roofing companies however, preferred Tim at Conventional Builders. Tim put our minds at ease that the job would be done in time to meet the insurance companies demands. Tim is personable and courteous. He offers quality products, affordable rates, and commendable work. He delivers what he promises, and he has a reliable crew working for him. He met our timeline and we love our new roof! We would highly recommend Tim for any services you may need. We certainly will rehire him if the need arises!

You most certainly want to conduct business with this company! Tim is a stand-up individual who gives his honest assessment, and he is a nice guy. Initially, I read the reviews and viewed the Google rating, then thought to myself that their online reputation is too good to be true. Well, I was wrong! They are that good. Also, I need to give a positive shout-out to the young man in the office who answered my initial calls. Thank you for your patience and assistance!

I highly recommend Tim and his Amazing Crew i am so Happy with my new Roof and Gutters. Tim was Great in Explaining what i needed and very Honest Company . They Clean up after there Done it would be so clean you would not even know they were ever there doing your Roof .They were all Amazing!!!

This was my 2nd time using CB and I have to say what a guy Tim and his crew are. I had mentioned I had a leak in my roof, we set up a time for him to come out and after an initial diagnosis he took care of it the next day before its scheduled to rain again. After coming down from the roof, he was able to tell me exactly the condition of my roof and other important roof details, which shows a level of expertise you just don't get anymore. More than that it's a great pleasure to talk with him as you feel like you're talking to a friend.

Amazing company to work with! Roof came out absolutely stunning.

Tim was involved from the time we filed our claim. He helped us to navigate the complex insurance process until the claim was approved. His staff did an excellent job replacing our roof. I would highly recommend CB

Perfection from start to finish!! Extremely reasonable pricing, quick to respond and very professional; what else can we say. Our roof was done in one day and the guys left our property spotless. We would highly recommend Tim and CB Roofing to anyone!

The team from CB that installed my new roof was extremely well coordinated, put on the roof quickly, and cleaned up without a trace.
