Segelman Shaw Roofing did a great job replacing our 20+ year old roof.

The roof, like most this age, needed some work. Tiles/shingles were getting blown off and I suspected the recent rains maybe causing problems. The neighbors up the street had Segelman replace their roof and they said the price quote was competitive. I called John Lozon on a Sunday (leaving a message) and John called me back Monday. He said he would swing for an estimate and using a drone was able to get the info needed.

I had the quote via e-mail that day. When I got back to John he was quick to put things in motion. Workers were out in less than two weeks. The crew was very polite, prompt, and cleaned up after themselves every day. We had to let one worker in the house as we replaced the metal chimney to our heater. He wore a mask and was in and out under ten minutes.

Getting a new roof is like going to the dentist, it just has to be done. John made the process easier as he remained in touch and let me know if he saw or his worker saw any issues that needed to be addressed.

I certainly would be happy to recommend them any time.

For flashing roof and chimney leaks, we spoke to Everything Backyard and asked them to start the work at our place the earliest. The company asked us to wait for a week as they were busy with other projects. But when the company professionals visited out house and experienced that it needs an urgent treatment, they were kind enough to prioritize our work and arranged a special team to finish the work at out place as soon as they can. We were very impressed with the company managers for showering all the support at the time we needed it the most. After the completion of work, they did all the cleaning for us and made our home a better place to live.

I had my new roof installed a few years ago by Segelman Shaw Roofing. I was extremely happy with their work. They were reliable, professional and neat when ripping up the existing roof.
This summer I thought I had a problem with gutter and they came by promptly after the call. Turned out being nothing related to the roof job. Overall, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to improve their home.

My garage roof was in bad shape. Segelman Shaw crew efficiently stripped it down to the plywood, replaced boards where needed and did a great job with the new shingles. I was very happy with the results, especially with the care they took on the trim. Over all good service.

Segelman Shaw provided excellent service in repairing poor roof flashing that caused water to leak into my house. Since their work, I’ve had no issues in major storms. They’ve also cleaned my gutters well. Their response time and communication is great throughout.

This fall Segelman Shaw re-sided my 1940s house. They did an excellent job and I'm very happy with my 'new' house. They were responsive to my requests and questions in the most professional way. I couldn't be happier with the results and do not hesitate to recommend them.

Overall responsive when I called, needed to make a change and the work was done very well. Price was with in line of other quotes and we had a few change orders that were priced fairly. Highly recommend Steve and Theresa in billing was easy too. Liked the payment plan as well.

Had my roof done 2.5 yrs ago, after numerous emails about the job we finally finalized the project and it began shortly. Payment went smoothly but there were parts of the job that didnt. The framing part of the job in the attic dormer project was not professional at all. There were portions of studs and lumber that were not accurately cut and were held together with multiple ill placed framing nails. Another issue was that while paying for gutter guards on all existing gutters not all were fitted properly or installed; there was one gutter on the side of the roof that to this day has not be rectified. When I let David the job foreman inspect the site I showed him the sloppy framing on the dormer portion he stated that he brought in specialized framers to complete this project and that their work is usually stellar. I never requested any money back but he did admit that it looked bad is not what they "USUALLY" do. As far as the missing gutter guard David used his drone to take photos of the roof once completed but never sent me any photos or video like agreed to in person. I only realized it was missing as I had to inspect a clogged gutter that was overflowing to my surprise.
Ive reached out to him via text and left multiple voice messages but with no response. Ive resolved to not ever do business with them and not recommend this company to any neighbors or friends.

The came when they said they would, explained everything and took care of the problem. They are professional and a pleasure to work with.

They came down to my commercial building they were quick and efficient and solved the ice dam issue so water stopped coming inside.

This was not a easy job. Repairing damaged aluminum siding and trim.
But they did a really excellent job. Straightening out the siding and nailing it back to the house and replacing some of the trim where needed.
All in all, great work.

We had an amazing experience working with John and his team at Segelman Shaw (LetsBackyard). We were looking to have an operable pergola put in and had many issues with the town building department. John handled everything and ensured that we got exactly what we needed. Being in the time of Covid we did not have an opportunity to see one of the Temo pergolas in person, but I can say it FAR exceeded our expectations. I received very quick help when my gutters were frozen over causing water to come into my house. They even checked back in a few days later to make sure things were okay!

We have used Segelman Shaw for many years to perform quarterly gutter cleanings and inspect our aging roof. When it eventually came time to replace our roof, we got a few quotes, but ended up going with Segelman Shaw. We are glad we did. Murray was great to talk to initially about the roof replacement process and Theresa did a great job managing the project itself. The guys who replaced our roof seem to have done a great job (it looks good, but time will tell), but the process itself was smooth and they were finished within 2 days.

After the last big storm, we were concerned about the heavy snow buildup on our roof and the potential for property damage. They responded quickly, showed up exactly when promised, and handled everything professionally from start to finish.
