We had a pool built in 2015. Jon was excellent and walked us through the process and was very patient with our constant changes. However the construction of the deck and it's preparation has a lot to be desired. First I noticed there was a discernible drop off at the edge of the pool deck. When I mentioned this the only answer I got was "yes, well you need a retaining wall, sooner than later". ( $6,000 later). When it rained the water poured into the lanai as the deck drains, only 1 1/2", when there are 3" drains available, could not cope as the deck slope is very steep. When mentioning I was told "well you need guttering". I did have gutters fitted with no difference!! I would have expected that a company who builds pools would be able to identify these issues prior to building and be proactive and look at ways to address such issues. For example reducing the deck slope, installing wider drains to cope with Florida rains.

Great pool however I spend a lot of time moving lanai furniture and sweeping out water when it rains heavy, which is very frequently!! So it looks like I will have to pay to have this issue rectified.

This is absolutely the worst company ever. It took 4 phone calls and 4 months to get a quote. I went forward with them because they were a little less expensive than their competitors. One of the owners, Curtis assured me that the project would go smoothly and he would make sure I knew what was going on at all times. I signed the contract in November. It took them 3 months just to get permits. I could not get a plan or even a list of steps. I had to continuously ask what was going to happen next. As a single woman who has never had a pool, l felt helpless but hoped for the best. It took 4 months to finish that included several heated exchanges with Curtis. They didn't explain anything about how to take care of a salt pool. I hired someone to take care of it that asked me questions about the first 30 day requirements and I had no idea what he was talking about.There were electrical problems with spa which they did fix. And the pavers have started to collapse only 2 months after completion. I can't warn strongly enough to not use this company!!!!!

We had a pool built by Tropical. Ronnie worked with us, and he was very accommodating and helpful. When we had a problem with pump placement, Ronnie stood behind their work and made it right. We're very pleased and get tons of compliments on our pool! We've already recommended Tropical to others.

We did a lot of searching, comparing, pricing and when we were done, we did it all over again. We met with numerous pool contractors and we felt Tropical Pools and Pavers would do the best job for us. Jon is straightforward, honest and sincere. Curtis the project manager always returned my calls, (he's a busy guy), and the rest of the staff is so very helpful. They gave us everything they promised. If building a pool, don't look elsewhere. Save yourself a lot of time, money and hassle and go with Tropical Pools and Pavers!

I did a lot of research before I made the decision to go with this company. They came recommended by a friend, who had their pool done about 5 years ago and are still happy. I interviewed and recieved quotes from several companies. Tropical's price was competitive. I was happy with the entire process. Regan was our sales rep and designer. He was very easy going and patient with me during the multiple design changes. Curtis, the owner, provided his cell number and responded immediately to any questions. The work flow/progress was steady; without any large gaps of time between stages. My pool is absolutely gorgeous. Many friends and family have said it's the prettiest pool and deck they've seen.

I rarely post reviews to companies but really felt the need to commend this company for such an exceptional job. What an amazing experience, from start to finish! Our sales consultant, Jon, went above and beyond to turn our vision into a reality. His patience and professionalism speaks volumes for this company. A special thanks to Curtis for his communication during the process and quick response to questions and issues. Lastly, Gary was a pleasure to work with as he kept working with the setup until we were completely satisfied. What a great team. I would highly recommend Tropical Pools and Pavers to anyone looking for a unique pool...their build quality and personnel are top notch. Thanks again!

Working with Jon (sales and design) was a great experience. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He gave a ton of great design ideas.

Curtis was responsible for our construction. He and his crew were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. He and his crew were also very neat and considerate of not only our property, but also our neighbor's property. always available to answer any questions or concerns.

Overall, we had a great experience from start to finish with all of the Tropical staff and love our new backyard.

We could not have asked for a better experience and are so pleased with the outcome of our pool.

It was a pleasure working with Tropical Pools & Pavers! This was a first pool build for us, and we are so happy with how it turned out! Still by far the best pool company I’ve worked with! My only concern is that I’m moving and I may never receive the quality care and attention to detail in my next pool as it’s outside of their area. Tropical pools did a great job on our new pool. They were professional and were quick to give updates.

We met with 9 pool companies over the course of several months. Regan was the only salesperson to actually listen to us and provide a rendering of what we asked for without missing anything the first time. Our space was tight, but we were able to execute the way we wanted. He was patient, honest, easy to work with and not pushy.

During construction we ran into some obstacles from the county inspectors and a widely used subcontractor. Curtis was always available to take my calls and texts both during and after hours. Our experience wasn't flawless (but really, if you've ever built anything....is it ever? ;)) but the professionalism and commitment to making things right is ultimately what matters most, and Curtis did just that. We are happy with our finished product and would choose Tropical Pools and Pavers again.

Ronnie and Curtis and the office staff were perfect to work with. Answered all of our questions along the whole process. Our pool turned out so much better than we could have ever imagined.

We recently completed a project with TP&P. We had a great experience with them from estimate to selections to build. We felt they communicated great along the way and built a lovely pool!

I just wanted to say that from the beginning of our project Jon understood exactly what we wanted. Design was received quickly and project was started and finished before the time line they gave us. Throughout the process, Curtis (project manager) was responsive to concerns. Everything is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier!

You hear horror stories, so it's always challenging to go into a project this big, but Jon (our sales person) was absolutely stellar and Curtis was communicative and helpful throughout. Tropical Pools and Pavers saved us from what felt like an exhausting, never ending nightmare. The previous pool co (who I will give no credit to by mentioning their name) left us with a hole in our back yard for 6 months, 54k of our dollars and heading into Florida's rainy season. Tropical Pools went over and beyond to work with us in getting this project finished. Every contractor for each phase of the project was professional and did some amazing work. Tropical Pools and Pavers did an OUTSTANDING job from beginning to end on our new pool. They started from scratch and once the trees were removed they started right away! The process went just as they described from digging to the pouring of the shell, electrical and plumbing work, spa design, travertine deck installation, pool screen install and maintenance of the pool to salt water. We have been extremely happy with their contractors, Curtis the owner, Regan our sales rep and their office staff. I would HIGHLY recommend them for your pool!!!! and FYI their contractors are very happy with them and say they pay on time and are very good to work with and for and I guarantee that's what makes the process go so smoothly!! Highly recommend Tropical Pools, it was a super easy process and they do keep their word on timing for pool completion. Regan our sales rep did an amazing job explaining the process and providing us exactly the design we wanted. Curtis on the construction side was awesome as well, made changes along the way to get our pool how exactly we wanted and never had any pushback and was very helpful. Bonus, He is also by far the friendliest pool sales representative of all the ones I interviewed. Once we decided to go with Tropical Pools and Pavers, Regan’s response time to questions, concerns and communication were exceptional! Sure, it took quite awhile, but it was well worth the wait to have a pool that’s the envy of your neighborhood!
