Our bathroom was flooded in February 2023. The insurance approved in March. Hays and Sons took until July to complete the work. The f First project manager was very unresponsive did not return phone calls or show up on his visits like he’s stated he would. The drywall and painting contractor did a terrible job. There were holes and ridges in the drywall and h did not do two coats of paint as stated in the statement of work. He told me he never received a statement of work.
When I complained to the project manager, he did not reply. So I contacted his supervisor who came out and inspected the work scheduled a fixer to come in and fix all of the problems. The supervisor and his fixer corrected. Everything in our basement was completed and looks wonderful. The finished product was great, but it was a nightmare going through the process.

Josh Anderson did an excellent job as the project manager! He was very professional and accountable!
Randy Winfield was the first to come out and was very honest and worked with the insurance adjuster.
Tim Davenport did excellent masonry work!

Worst experience of my life. My house was to be done in 2weeks and it took 5 months. People have been to my house and can not believe the crappy job these contractors did. I would never recommend them to any one or use them again.

Hates and Sons replaced two roofs for me. They did an excellent job. Very timely, professional service and I’ve had no problems with either roof. One was just a standard replacement from storm damage. The other one had been leaking from a spot no one seemed to be able to fix. Thanks to Hayes and Sons, there has been no issues with that roof since they replaced it.

We are extremely satisfied with Hays & Sons!! We had been dealing with water leaking into our house for many years. The insurance company sent someone out initially, but they did not discover or resolve the issue. Hays & Sons not only fixed all the issues with excellent craftsmanship, but also worked with the insurance company and handled everything. I strongly recommend them!

I want to thank Joe Clough and his restoration crew. He took time to explain all aspects of the drying process, he worked well with our insurance adjuster, answered all questions, he and his crew were polite and understanding after experiencing a total flooding in our home.
I also met with Matt Peterman to review the rebuild. Matt took time to answer all our questions and then explained the rebuild process coming up. Hays +Sons do as advertised, they do restorations right.

Team genuinely cared about the situation and understood that this was unexpected and stressful. They communicated well to repair my home and acted like a cohesive and caring team. They answered questions to help me understand the process. They treated my home with respect and were neat and careful with moving equipment. They were kind, caring, repectful and professional. I wouldn't change anything about how the Hays and Sons team handled my situation. I would highly recommend their services with great confidence.

My basement flooded 6/30 very late at night. Within minutes of calling Kyle, PM at Hays and Sons, he was on the way to help. Many members of upper management were involved that night and days after, and they showed obvious concern for my situation. The water technicians, Shane and Jason from Cincinnati and Kyle from Indianapolis, were very polite, professional, hard working, and attentive to what I asked. They checked in with me consistently to ensure I was happy with the progress. All 3 men worked all day long with a smile. I was very upset from the start of my water damage and each employee helped put me at ease. I have been very happy with everyone involved so far in this process, and so thankful for their tireless assistance. Highly recommend Hays and Sons and huge appreciation for their dedicated workers!

Hays+Sons repaired my kitchen after a ceiling water pipe break. The work was extremely good and the people involved were both professional and courteous. They cleaned up all the area after they were done. They kept me informed all the way through the process and they were punctual. I would definitely have them complete any future work.

We had the pleasure of using Hays + Sons through our insurance for a busted pipe that leaked into our house. Scott Nagle was our Project Manager and delivered the best experience you could have as a customer. If anyone were to use Hays - I would highly recommend Scott Nagle. Hays and Sons replaced our roof and siding as well as gutters after some storm damage. Every person we spoke with was pleasant and friendly and professional. I have recommended them many times since they worked on our house and I will continue to do so. They worked with our insurance and made the process extremely simple. I can honestly say I feel like they went above and beyond and earned everyone of the five stars I've rated them.

Both Matt and Josh took great care of us! They worked great with our insurance company and the city, took care to be sure the rebuild was done to compliance, and communicated with us often to keep us up to date. The subcontractors used did a fantastic job, everything looks wonderful! We would definitely use Hays +Sons again.

Thanks very much to Randy Winfield for his help, expertise and diligence in pursuing my claim. It was an uphill battle but he pursued and secured the funds to get the job done. Also many, many thanks to Josh Anderson, my project manager for tackling a very big project and seeing it through to the end with a great result. Josh was always available, chose great trades people and made many helpful suggestions throughout the entire project. Thanks to Jeremiah for his carpentry skills and to Sean Hill for knocking out a very long punch list. Everyone from Hays was personable and knowledgeable. Thanks for you hard work.

I was referred to Hays and Sons after having a not-so-good experience with another restoration company. Hays and Sons has exceeded my expectations in quality and service! From start to finish, they have been prompt, professional and genuinely kind. My house flooded and instead of feeling stressed, they made me feel at ease- I felt that I was in good hands every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone in need of remediation and restoration work.

I was on a family vacation and was notified of water coming out of my house. I was able to coordinate a cleanup with Hays and Sons. Within hours of notification, they had dispatched people to perform cleanup and mitigation of any mold. They arrived on time, were incredibly professional, and communicated with me (remote) every step of the way. These interactions were with multiple people at their company. They promptly had people working to estimate out the repair process. I know my journey to repairing my house has just started, but I could not be happier with their company. I would recommend them to anyone.

This is our second job with Hays & Sons. We were thrilled with the job they did the first time, and this time we're even more thrilled! My husband is now bound to a wheelchair so getting around in our older home is not easy. Matt, the estimator, came out to see what we wanted, knew what could or couldn't be done, and made suggestions to come up with something that would work. Josh, the project manager, worked through the details, and quickly got the job moving. The work done was perfect! Everything looks wonderful, and the bedroom and bathroom are now so much more accessible for my husband! Great job, Hays & Sons. Will definitely use you again.

My experience with hays and sons was nothing less than a positive, professional experience. I was a little worried at first only because I had never hired a contractor before, and didn’t know what to expect. My estimator, Randy, explained the whole process thoroughly so I didn’t have any surprises, and was quick to respond when I had questions, and my project manager, Jeff, exceeded my expectations. When we ordered my cabinets they arrived damaged, and the vendors gave us a little push back on returning them. I was approved for basic shaker style cabinets and Jeff went above and beyond and was somehow able to get the regional Home Depot manager to come all the way from Indianapolis to my house to assess the damage and come to a resolution. They were replaced with solid wood cabinets with soft close doors that are absolutely gorgeous at no additional charge. Waiting on the new cabinets to arrive slowed down the process a little because we had to wait for the cabinets before the floor could be installed, and even during that downtime, Jeff stayed in contact with me everyday by email, or phone and always kept me in the loop of what was happening which I appreciated. I never felt “scammed” or my home “disregarded” in anyway. I’m so thankful for the work they put in to make my home so beautiful! Thank you hays and sons team!

Hays & Sons has great employees. Even though my restoration was small, Amanda Ross, the project manager, made me feel it was a priority. Amanda's communication and organizational skills are excellent. She said the restoration of the floor could be done in a day and it was.

Dan Haun did an excellent job on my bathroom's ceiling that had water damage from a toilet that leaked in the condo above me. He was very professional and did a great job of cleaning up!
