Rodney's team was fast and prompt. The fence is custom built. Everyone that walks into our backyard Instantly notice the craftsmanship of the fence.

While they may do a good job building a fence they are rude, and unprofessional. They are blocking a street with their vehicles in a community they are working in and when asked to move they refused and got hateful with a female with her kids in her vehicle. When I went and asked they claim to not speak English but was VERY clear English response with no accent at all.

My back property line was in disrepair until a friend mentioned "The Fenceman" in Lutz.
FANTASTIC!!! Diligently worked to take down the old and put up the new. I will use them again plus recommend this company to anyone needing new fence or even repairs.

Rodney is a great guy and is terrific to work with. Reasonable and does quality work to your satisfaction. He works well with homeowners and HOA companies. We have used him in our community and are very happy we did.

I spoke to Mr. Dean the owner from Business almost 6 Weeks ago he told me to fix the issue and he make appointment to solve the problem he never keep any appointment to show up. he told me also he is police officer in Tampa but how much honesty you can put in the same person as businessman!!! I sending text messaging and phone calls he never respond

My experience with R. Dean the Fenceman has been disastrous. We unfortunately paid him in full before the punch list was completed. His company showed up for one day to correct items for a couple hours and never completed the punch list and left pickets off of our fence. We did not hear back from this company until we sent a Demand Letter for the punch list to be competed. There has been no communication or call backs from this company until the Demand Letter was sent. The workmanship was shoddy as seen in the attached pictures. Warped wood, nails sticking out all over the fence and posts that were cracked and had sawed out divots. Very disappointed in this company. Be careful folks!

Update: I received a final judgement in Small Claims Court. A copy is on the Pasco Clerk of Court document website. Liens are in the process for this business.

His crew came out did an amazing job replacing a damaged wooden fence with a new vinyl one. Looks Great at a great price.

Just had my 6’ vinyl fence installed and it looks great! Would recommend The Fence Man to anyone looking for a high quality fence at a great price. Both the owner and the install team are professional and respectable. 5 out of 5 stars!

This company really came through for us, and their quality of fence construction was really top notch.

Here’s an update- we hired them again for another section of fencing with another neighbor. Again amazing quality fencing. These guys are solid. I will always give them a great review because they have done great work for us numerous times now.

Rodney and his crew were great! After getting SEVERAL quotes to replace our old wood fence a friend recommended Rodney and he didn't disappoint. Very friendly and extremely professional. They did a great job and we love our new fence. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I initially had 5-star reviews for this biz, I loved the fence; but he ghosted me when I asked for help after Milton and now that I finally found assistance, the people helping are finding VERY LITTLE CONCRETE underground. I don't care how this is responded to, we all know what we're looking at. Disappointed. If you charged more to add enough concrete people would pay to avoid situations like this.

We recently had a vinyl fence installed by R. Dean the Fenceman. He came highly recommended and now we know why. His crew did a fantastic job! When they left the work site it was neat and clean. His crew has installed six fences in our neighborhood and everyone was as happy with the results as us. . Rodney did my fence a few years ago. I didn’t care for his customer service but when the fence was completed I was impressed with the work. Well, that has changed. Hurricane Milton pushed part of the fence over. Today I had to bring it back to plumb. I dug down around three 4x4 posts at least 18 inches. There is absolutely no concrete around any of those posts. I even hammered a metal rod deeper and still never hit concrete. Completely unacceptable

Rodney and his crew did a terrific job on our custom wood fence. They were methodical, professional, and polite. Very fair price and true to his word. The job took longer than we thought with it being custom, but nothing felt rushed and the job was done right. I would highly recommend them! Thanks guys!

My neighbor hired them to fence between our properties. I am not at all happy about the decision but extremely impressed with The Fence Man.

His team was friendly, very professional, accurate and did an amazing job. They measured and leveled each post then leveled each panel before nailing. The wood panel fence is very straight, very level despite a very hilly yard.

Highly recommend!

Couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Mr. Dean came out talked with me asked what I was wanting. He took the measurements and let me know what day they could start. My fiance and me were so happy with the outcome. His crew showed up early on the schedule day. Took about 1 an a half days. Will recommend him and his crew to anyone looking for a fence.

I would not recommend using this company at any time!!

I had a fence with multiple gates installed at my primary residence and had one problem after another with Rodney’s company. A job that was quoted to take 4 days ended up taking 11 days to complete. Communication was not possible with his crew, they claimed “No English”.

Here are a few notable issues I brought up to management.

1. Fence installed on top of sprinkler heads, rendering them useless
2. Gates misaligned and hard to open
3. Trash left on the job site
4. Landscaping plants ruined due to the crew walking on them
5. Warped/cracked boards used to complete fence
These complaints have been brought to your attention and the sprinkler was the only item you addressed, which shouldn’t have been an issue if your crew laid out the fence where it originally was located.

These complaints were brought to your attention on March 22nd, 2025. You have had more than ample time to address my concerns, and you chose to ignore them.

During the time your company was installing my fence, I was just released from the hospital after having surgery. In my opinion, you took advantage of an 80-year-old woman, at a vulnerable time, and never cared to take the time to make corrections to my satisfaction.

It’s very apparent that your crew does not care about attention to detail or about the quality of materials being used. Boards that were split and warped were used and now makes my new fence look like it’s old.

You say you are an honest businessman, but that is not what I have experienced. It is my opinion you are nothing but a fast-talking salesman.

Hiring your company was one of the worst decisions that I have made, I wish I could get a refund and hire a company that actually cares about their customers.

One more thing, I wish I would have read all the negative reviews left from other customers about your company, they are all 100% accurate.

Overall really good experience with The Fenceman and his crew. I found everyone pleasant, easy to work with, professional, and hardworking. Everyone was patient with my questions and need for reassurance and constantly being around during install. Our new fence (old one at least 30+years old, lost most during Milton) changes our whole view of backyard. If you are thinking of changing your old fence, give Rodney Bean a call. Thanks again for your hard work, and crew's work ethic.
