Factor was truly awesome to work with. Their designer, Brianna helped transform our interior office space in a way that re-energized the environment and our company. She listened to our design ideas, learned our tastes and turned out a plan that we would have never been able to create on our own. Factor was responsive throughout the entire project and exceeded our expectations all-around.

Factor Design Build completely remodeled my master bathroom and what an incredible job they did! From the first design meeting with Jenny to the completion of my project they have provided exceptional customer service while getting the project done on schedule. Travis Orme is a skilled and passionate project manager who was with me every step of the way. Lam La keeps the project moving smoothly and has excellent attention to detail. Richard Begando did a great job working on my bathroom from start to finish. Kent and Josh thank you for having an amazing team to help me create a beautiful master bathroom.

Posting this as a cautionary tale. I have no reason to believe that Factor cannot deliver a project that a homeowner will be happy with. In fact, based on pictures of completed projects, it's what prompted me to reach out to it in the first place. That being said, trust is a significant component of any renovation project. We had a nice first meeting with Factor. After meeting with a number of firms, we had down-selected it to be one of the finalists for our project. After waiting about two weeks for the follow-up action items to be communicated back to us, I reached out. The person I spoke with was apologetic, and indicated that we would hear back from someone soon. We did. We received a one line email later in the day indicating that Factor wasn't interested in our project.

That was definitively NOT the representation that was made during our meeting. Going back to my mention of trust earlier in this post, even if it came back now to say it was interested, we would not feel comfortable working with Factor. In closing, make sure you thoroughly vet any contractor with whom you are contemplating entering into a contract. With the local market being as busy/crazy as it is, you will find that some firms have been created/jumped in with limited credentials, and others, trying to manage too many projects, may not give yours the attention it deserves. In retrospect, we are glad to have found this out prior to having entered into a formal relationship with Factor.

Re the reply from Factor, there isn't a need for a follow up conversation. The individual who called me to arrange the appointment, as well as the one who came to our home, asked a lot of questions - which was great. In both case, I/we were very clear about the scope of our project, and what it would entail. Again, there was no hesitation - only interest, in either conversation about whether or not it fit your criteria. My recommendation would be to further train your staff to flesh out what is a desirable project in advance of holding client meetings, to avoid wasting everyone's time.

I can't say enough about the quality of work and service Factor Design Build provides. They brought my house back to life, and created a entirely new, beautiful space. They communicate exceptionally well and managed my expectations the entire time. Thank you to the whole team at FDB!

We really appreciated all of the effort that Factor Design Build put into our remodel. From the start, Josh and Kent explained the process in detail and then made sure things stayed on track. We recently completed a multi-room remodel with Factor - master bed and bath, guest bath, basement bar, as well as exterior flagstone work and a new deck build.

From day one of working with Factor, we felt as if we were a part of the Factor family. From the design team, to the construction, and project management team, they spent all the time necessary to go through every detail so by the time our project began, we knew everyone was on the same page, and knew exactly what the design was; right down to the last door knob.

Everyone who walked into our home was not only professional and extremely knowledgeable, but kind. It’s a laborious process to go through a remodel, but knowing the people working in your home are caring people with your best interest in mind makes it all worthwhile. When any issues arose, the project management team was right in front of it, coming up with an immediate plan of action for how to move forward.

We couldn’t be happier with the end result. Everything is exactly as we envisioned, and the quality is incredible. They go above and beyond. We had such a great experience and would hire them again in an instant.

We used Factor Design Build for a renovation on a rental property we purchased in Boulder. They did an excellent job turning our 3 bedroom/2 bath house into a an updated beautiful 4 bedroom/3 bath house with an added lower level entrance. They were professional and friendly and brought together an excellent team to get our job done. We would happily work with them again.

We knew we wanted to go with a Design/Build company for our full house renovation and interviewed several. Josh at FDB impressed us from the start. He was confident that we could achieve our wish list but also honest with us about what renovations would or wouldn’t be cost effective. From the design process to demo to substantial completion everybody we met at factor including the subs they used were professional, trustworthy, and fun to work with. Renovating a house is a stressful experience in even the best situations and we started ours at the beginning of the pandemic. However, we always felt that Factor had our back and helped make the process as seamless as possible. We would definitely work with them again!

Wonderful experience with Factor Design Build on the complete interior remodel of our home. The project included bathrooms, complete kitchen overhaul, flooring, refinishing walls and lofted ceilings, closet reconfiguration, electrical work and custom built-ins. Couldn't be more pleased with the finished product and thoroughly enjoyed working with the Factor team. They were on top of it throughout the project and very communicative. Project was complete on the projected deadline. White glove service that was a great fit for our family.

We used Factor to renovate a 1966 ranch-style house in Cherry Hills. Once we got to know the team and felt comfortable with the operation, what began as a kitchen remodel turned into a full-on 10-month renovation of the entire house. We absolutely saved time and money having the design group working out of the same office as the construction team. This allowed for a seamless and intuitive process that delivered for us on time and on budget. It is worth noting Factor has talent at the trade-level - Travis, our construction manager, is a real pro. They did a great job for us and I would highly recommend their services.

The Factor Design team transformed our home! What was dated is now light, bright, modern and functional. The home's layout presented some challenges, but we were able to seamlessly create a home office and an expansive mudroom. We gutted the kitchen and now have a serene space to cook and gather. They were able to offer high end custom cabinets but also lower priced selections in areas where we wanted to save money. We refinished the floors and ALL the drywall, got a gorgeous new modern fireplace, all new paint including the trim, and more. There were a lot of moving parts.
The Factor team was patient and professional. People showed up when they said they would, worked creatively with us, and communicated well. Construction can be stressful and during a pandemic even more so. Factor went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and that everyone who came to our home followed our wishes (and CDC guidelines) for Covid protocol. When issues came up, as they inevitably do in remodels of this size, they handled everything in the most professional manner and with transparency. We're thrilled with the quality and feel Factor helped raise the value of our home significantly. The warranty they offer brings peace of mind. They check back in to make sure we're satisfied, and if there's anything that needs tending to, someone shows up and takes care of it--even after the project is completed. They don't just disappear. We would definitely hire Factor again and recommend to anyone looking for quality work!

Ive been waiting months to write this review. We called Factor design build after we saw a sign in the neighborhood. We wanted to add a master bedroom and bathroom and remodel our entire basement. I spoke with their sales department a few months ago and the call was offensive to say the least. Not only did the representative forget we had an appointment, so I had to reach out to him, but we had a project that we expected would be around $350-450,000. The sales representative scoffed and seemed like we were beneath their clients and like they were too good to do our project. .

I finally talked to the neighbor that hired factor design and they said it was nothing but problems and their project cost over $1 million dollars. I did some research on the company and it seems this is their regular attitude. We hired Story design build company and we just started the project with them. Very professional and communicative, I would highly recommend you stay far away Factor Design Build if you dont want to be price gouged and treated like you are a peasant. What happened to treating clients with kindness? Never in my 60 years have I been so appauled.

Factor Design Build brightened up our kitchen and master bathroom and we are so happy with the updates. The entire Factor team is very skilled at their job and perform their work with great integrity. The Factor project managers are thorough and timely with updates and have wonderful communication skills and tools to keep the project on track. We were living in the home during the updates and everyone on the Factor team was very considerate of my family, dog and home! I would use Factor again and highly recommend this great team to others.

Factor Design Build is an amazing company to work with. They take the time to ask questions and truly understand what you need and what is best for your family. From our first meeting we felt we were in good hands. During the design process we came across an opportunity to buy a new home. Kent, Josh and team were genuinely happy for us, and while we were excited to find our new home, we were sorry to not be able to continue the process with Factor. The culture at Factor makes you feel more like family than a customer. If you are looking for a design/build firm I would highly recommend Factor.

I recently completed a whole house remodel in Boulder with Factor; siding, windows and concrete work as well as new kitchen and bathrooms, floors, interior trim and doors. My project turned out great and I am very happy with the results.

Factor provides a creative and collaborative design process during which we both could determine whether to proceed. If I chose not to proceed I would have a valuable design package. This process allowed me to make cost benefit decisions before the construction began.

Factor’s design team spent all the time necessary to go through every detail. Such a big project required a lot of meetings to make all the decisions and I had a great experience and enjoyed working with them.
