Had a great experience and now a beautiful deck to enjoy with family and friends. After exploring a few different options we comfortably settled with StoneCroft Construction and do not doubt we made the right choice. Quality work from quality people!

Exceptional service. Amazing crew. Philip provided personal service and made every permit was pulled. My highest recommendation. His use of steel posts and beams is far better than wood. Steel lasts for decades with no need for staining or painting. Our neighbors were impressed with the quality.

As a retired Building Inspector from Garden City, KS, I had used another contractor to build my elevated deck with a new roof (walk-out basement).
I needed someone to build the “L”-Shaped stairs from the concrete patio below, up 9-1/2 feet to the new deck, complete with Guardrails / handrails and to install the Guardrails around the elevated deck.
Phillip and his crew were among the very, very best that I had ever observed in all of my working Construction and Inspection Days.

StoneCroft did a great job on our new deck. They were very professional throughout the process. They answered all of our questions and were very efficient as soon as we decided to move forward. I would highly reccommend them.

We first met with Philip a few years back to inquire about replacing the bad deck that we inherited. He was patient with us then and gave us several options to consider for a new deck. We delayed the project a couple of years but contacted Philip as soon as we were ready and he picked up right where we left off. He worked with PPRBD and zoning for approval, listened to our needs, made great suggestions and in the end we have the deck that we always wanted. Very happy with the process, quality, and attention to detail. It was worth the investment and we wouldn't have worked with anyone else. He is not a salesman, this is what he does and his passion shows.

I just recently had StoneCroft replace a deck for me. The owner Philip Purdy is an incredible craftsman and a wonderful human being. His work ethic and attention to detail was something to behold. Even the building inspector told me I had selected the best in the area. Philip was a true pleasure to work with. The finished product is beautiful. Highly recommended!!

Philip and his team at StoneCroft did an amazing job on my deck. I am typically a “do-it-yourself” type of person, and generally find hiring someone frustrating, as there will never have the same care or attention to detail that I will have. This project was too big for me to tackle though, so I hired StoneCroft. There did an incredible job. Every mitre cut is tight, spacing is perfect, and even the silver screws under the deck were painted black to match the black steel frame. Philip’s crew built my deck as if they were building their own.

On top of that, his crew is polite, professional, and considerate. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

There are far too many construction firms in the Colorado Springs region that merely hard sell decks. StoneCroft Construction knows well how to build the highest quality decks! Impeccable design! Philip has superior communication skills, no significant surprises arose and the total cost fell well under the estimate. Building material prices rose during the pandemic, Philip ensured through timely order placement that our deck project beat all projected price increases. The diligent, dependable, punctual, skilled crew worked around Colorado winter weather to produce a very fine result. The well constructed Fortress frame & Trex deck thrills us. We enjoy total satisfaction as the result of StoneCroft Construction’s outstanding service!

It has been a absolute pleasure working with Philip and his team. When we had our first meeting, he mentioned that he would construct the new deck, as if he was doing it for his own home. He kept his word. There was some dry rot because the original builder did a terrible job at mitigate water between the house and the original deck. Philip pointed it out and fixed it. He put additional flashing between the house and the deck to prevent it from happening again. He definitely went above and beyond on everything. One of the reasons that he was chosen to construct the new deck, was because he used steel for all the rafters and steel for the stair stingers. Other contractors wanted to used steel rafters, but wood stair stringers. Which I didn’t want. Not only that, they wanted thousands more for using steel. With Philip, he used steel everywhere and was still cheaper than the other guys. His entire team was friendly and professional. If I has to get another deck done, I would hire him again. I would certainly recommend him to my friends. He did an awesome job. He was honest. He was a good communicator and kept me informed on every step of the process. I highly recommend him!

StoneCroft Construction did a fabulous job on our deck. They were able to expand the width from 5' to 10' and now we have so much more room. Our deck used to end at the pillars in the phots.

Philip and his crew at Stonecroft Construction are the real deal. We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. We rarely used the old deck due to the heat and sun exposure, plus it was in terrible shape. Now, the kids ask us every day if we can eat dinner outside and we can! Phil and his crew do fantastic work! Highly professional, organized, and friendly guys. They kept the place very clean and tidy during the few weeks the project took to complete. They demo’d the old decks, installed new ledgers, and built new decks for us. Phil’s communication was great throughout the project and he was on site every day. The crew is made up of military veterans, which we can all appreciate.

The MoistureShield cool deck stays cool all summer, even on a south-facing deck with zero shade. We have some bigger, rowdy dogs and the deck/stairs have held up great. The crew was also able to eliminate some excess posts under the back deck, giving us a more open layout underneath.

It’s been 1.5 years and our decks still look brand new! We get lots of compliments on them, and we would choose Stonecroft to build decks for us again in a heartbeat.
