I hired Northstar Electric to rewire my home, and the job is still not complete. I had to push and pressure them just to get the little bit of progress they’ve made, and now it looks like I’ll have to take them to court to finish what they started. One of the electricians assigned to my job straight up refused to do the work, and someone else had to step in. I was later told the company is splitting up, which explains the chaos. At this point, just avoid them altogether. Save your money, save your sanity, and go with someone else. Maybe they were a decent company once, but it’s clear their business is falling apart and you don’t want to get caught in the middle of that mess. Buyer beware.

They did a complete re-wiring of our camp (outlets, switches, wiring, etc), installed new panel/circuit breaker, replaced main electric line, installed fans & light fixtures... you name it, they did it!

Cody came out to look over the camp and provide an estimate. He was timely, professional and very easy to work with. His team of Ben, Dillon, Benny, and Andre were exceptional. Their work was high quality and very thorough. They always went the extra mile to ensure things were done well. It was a big job and it definitely took longer than anticipated to finish (thanks to unforeseen challenges with the old camp, not them!), but they were outstanding throughout. On top of all that, they're just really good guys. We were very pleased with the finished product.

I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any electrical work you may need. They are fairly-priced, trustworthy, and do fantastic work. We will definitely be using them again!

I have not had major renovations done to my nearly 100-year old home in a long time. Dillon, Benny, Jeremy, and Andre did a superb job removing all the old knob-and-tube wiring, installing a new panel for the upper two floors, installing new outlets and in general leaving my home in much better electrical shape than before they started. It was not an easy job (plaster walls), but they never complained or fussed about what a difficult job it was. They cleaned up every day after they finished, which was very notable. I appreciated their kindness and professionalism and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for an exceptionally wonderful company. Jayme in the office was also wonderful to work with, as I had a lot of questions that she answered patiently and thoroughly. She is very good at her job, and a credit to the company! Thanks!!

We recently hired Northstar Electric for some electrical work in our home, and we couldn't be happier with the service provided. From the moment we reached out, the co-owner Ben set a high standard with his punctuality, friendliness, and helpfulness. He took the time to thoroughly go over our options, guiding us to make the best decision for our situation and budget. The electricians who completed the work, Andre and Jeremy, were equally impressive. Both were exceptionally polite and efficient. What stood out most, however, was their respect for our space and comfort. I work from home and they were conscious to get the internet up and running quickly, and checked with me before shutting the power off. They were also careful to keep the door to our bedroom closed as requested, just so our cats didn’t run out.

Northstar Electric exceeded all our expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services. We will definitely be calling them in the future.

I've had a very positive experience recently working with Northstar Electric. Ben provided a free review and estimate of the work I needed done, which included fixture and motion sensor installations and replacements and the running of new wires to add additional outlets in my (not full height) basement for sump pumps and a dehumidifier. I thought the estimate was fair and reasonable and appointment scheduling and billing were made easy by the company's administrator.

Andre and Jeremy arrived on the appointed date and worked quickly and efficiently to complete the significant list of tasks needing to be accomplished within a single day. They communicated well and were pleasant to work with throughout the day, including going over details and making sure the work was done to my expectations. The work seemed to be done to a full professional standard and everything was in good working order when the job was completed.

I came away from my first working experience with this company feeling good about the service I received and will not hesitate to call them again when I have electrical work needing to get done. I recommend the company without hesitation.

I reached out to Northstar about running some networking cables up a floor as we had no network access upstairs other than wifi which today is such a pain for the many wired devices we have.

They were quick and responsive, letting me know that they could have someone come out in under a week to take a look / quote the work.

During the inspection process, the tech was very friendly and professional and offered a few ideas on how to approach the issue. He even went so far as to talk to the builder of the home and accessed a unit they are currently standing up to get insight into how to route the cables. With his assurance that they'd try to get back quickly, he let me know it might be a bit of a wait as they had a lot of work scheduled.

To my pleasant surprise they were able to get back out here in under a few days! They worked quickly and diligently to finish the entire job in under four hours. The work was clean and there were only two cuts to minimize the impact to my drywall.

Now my upstairs is hooked up to the 21st century and I couldn't be happier! Thanks Northstar!

We hired Northstar to perform the electrical work for our kitchen and main floor renovation. Had a wonderful experience. Cody was a timely and clear communicator and he was flexible with the schedule to meet the various timelines in our reno. Cody, Ben and their crew are very knowledgeable about their craft and its obvious they all take pride in what they do. Their work was exemplary and their pricing was also very fair. Northstar is our go to for future work we are planning. Would highly recommend them.

My husband and I hired Kyle to do the electrical work for a restaurant buildout and have been working with him for a couple years now. He is personable, communicative, honest, has done an excellent job of every task we have asked him to take on, and on several occasions has gone above and beyond what would be expected. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician!

Kyle is the most responsive, diligent, and competent electrician I’ve hired, and I’ve hired several. He’s done a myriad of projects, large and small. He always shows up on time and stays until the job is done. And, his work is impeccable. I could not recommend someone more highly for electrical work.

Kyle is the one you want for the job. He saved me thousands. I thought I had to rewire my whole house because of electrical issues I was having, but Kyle was able to diagnose the problem and no more issues!!
I also used him to wire up a new addition and a sub panel. He will be my guy from now on!

Kyle did a fantastic job with all of the electrical work that we needed/wanted at our condo. When meeting with other electricians to get a quote, all who seemed very good also, Kyle was the only one who said that he thought we only needed 3 recessed lights in our kitchen, not five, and he was completely correct! Five would have been too much! I trusted his judgement throughout all of the work he did. He would consistently ask us for our opinions of what we liked, if there were an option, would listen to us, and then add his expert opinion if we asked for it, prior to us making a decision. I felt that he truly had our best interests in mind, and wanted us to be happy with the results. Sometimes we would take a little time to make a decision, and he showed a lot of patience during these times, again, saying that it was important to him, that we were happy.
He is a hard working, honest, down to earth young man who does excellent work. He was at our condo multiple days, since we started with a good amount of work to be done, and then we liked the improvements so much, that we added more work, which he accommodated into his schedule the best he could, finishing in 3 days.
I was also very pleased with his response to a safety concern I had. I texted him one evening, hours after he left since I thought I was smelling a slight electrical smell in the house. He came right along, inspected all of his new work, which was fine, and then discovered that it was coming from an old lamp that I had on. From the time I texted him, to the time he actually diagnosed the problem and left, was only 1/2 hour.
If I have any electrical work that needs to be done, I would definitely have Kyle do that in the future. It is also nice that he is licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

My wife found Kyle because he lives in our neighborhood. When we had a need at home he was there within hours to correct bad situation and his price was extremely fair. When it came time to have some work done in my business Kyle was my first and only call. He was once again very prompt, and worked with other trades doing work for us to get everything done when we needed it, even putting in weekend hours so we didn’t have to close for renovations. On top of all of that Kyle’s work is meticulous and neat, and he makes it a point to clean up every little piece of wire. I can’t recommend K. Sullivan Electric enough for any electrical work that you need done!

Based in Laconia, but licensed in NH & MA, Kyle’s quote for extensive electrical work was the best I received. He had no issue performing my job in Stoneham MA: 200a panel upgrade, adding interior and exterior outlets, new bathroom fan & light, new light and ceiling fan, knob & tube inactive verification. Kyle is highly communicative and trustworthy, and did a wonderful job. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

We had to wait a couple of weeks for Andrew and his team — but entirely worth the wait. We had a number of jobs done in our (new to us) home including installation of light fixtures, cutting holes in our ceilings to accomplish this, basement lighting, can/downlights in our family room a new TV box and most importantly under cabinet lighting in the kitchen.
