As a professional construction manager, I am as thorough as it gets when it comes to analyzing options and pricing among the marketplace. When it came time to put solar on my own home, I reviewed three companies and SunCommon was the clear winner. Their pricing was great, I loved that they pre-purchased material and stored it in their warehouse to stay ahead of tariffs, and the three team members that I interfaced with from inception to execution were all spectacular. I am a strong advocate for supporting deserving companies in the local community and it always feels good to know that we were both successful in this transaction.

We are super excited that we are now "powered by solar"! Overall, our journey with SunCommon was really very good. We had some issues in the early stages with sporadic communication about project status and with scheduling (hence the 4 star rating), but Project Management Lead Maddy really stepped up to address all of our concerns. Through her efforts, the design was fast tracked, and the work scheduled. Thanks to Jason for providing a detailed introduction to the process, and a big shout out to the installation crew led by Ryan, and his core team of Duncan, Josh, Jarrett, and Kai. Their work was both professional and efficient, and they were great folks to work with. Kudos and thank you all for a job well done!

Earlier this year we began our search for a solar company which included numerous interviews with solar companies and recommendations from neighbors who already had solar installed. During this phase of our project, it became clear that SunCommon stood out from the rest. In particular, we found Tim to be organized, professional and supportive which made the entire process a great success. Even when issues came up during the install phase, as they inevitably do with any large-scale project involving coordination between multiple teams, Tim made himself available to address the issues within the same day and went above and beyond to address the situation. We love our solar array/carport! We believe the pictures speak for themselves. Thank you SunCommon (especially Tim!) for all your hard work! Highly recommended!!!

Seven years ago we had SunCommon install 23 solar panels on the roof of our house and 2 PowerWalls in the basement. We have been so pleased with the installation that has seen us through many power outages, that we went back to SunCommon in 2024 to have 32 rooftop panels plus 2 PowerWalls installed at our barn. The SunCommon staff was very helpful and the installation crew was great. The installed the entire system in just two days during cold and snowy weather in December. They couldn't have been more pleasant and professional. We did run into a bureaucratic snafu with the Public Utilities Commission which delayed connection to the grid by two and a half months, but SunCommon very graciously fully reimbursed me for the lost power production during the delay.

RG Electric did a fantastic job for me earlier this year. The owner, Roger, was excellent with communication and very easy to work with. His team were also wonderful. Very professional, skilled, timely and personable. They cleaned up the dust etc when they were finished, which I really appreciated. And they came back the very next day to adjust something I wasn’t totally happy with. I didn’t even have to call them … Roger reached out from his end to ask if I was satisfied with the work. To me, that is stellar service. I also feel that RG provides great value. I didn’t have the feeling I overpaid. I’m having them come back out to do some more work. I can’t recommend Roger and his team highly enough!

Roger and his team rewired our old 100 year old house and removed knob and tube to make our house safe. Roger is the nicest guy and great customer service.

Called about a problem on Christmas Eve, and was expecting to pay a lot for an emergency repair. He diagnosed it over the phone, figured out that it was something I could fix easily myself, and waited on the line while I did it. Really nice guy, and cared more about helping us than making a buck.

Roger was an amazing help in every way possible. He really stepped in when I needed support and was incredibly honest, professional, and kind throughout the entire process. I’m very grateful for his help. He truly went above and beyond, and I highly recommend this place they are absolutely amazing!

I had an emergency situation where I blew the electricity to the entire house in the late afternoon. I left a message and I got lucky and he called almost immediately, then patiently walked me through the fix over the phone (and waited to verify everything was working).

He was very kind and patient given my error that led the situation! Will definitely call him for any future projects.

Roger and his team are amazing! We have used RG Electric on several occasions and are always more than pleased. Not only does Roger go above and beyond but his entire team does the same. One of the projects we had Roger work on was setting up for a wedding and adding electricity to an existing barn. We are so THANKFUL!

The two person team worked great together. Very smooth and efficient. They replaced more than 20 outlets, plugs and GFI’s. They cleaned up as they went along and left the job site spotless. The team was very friendly and easy to talk to. A very professional duo. I highly recommend Lakeside Electric for any project in your home or business.

Strongly recommend finding another electrician. Lakeside appears to have a standard practice of sending a licensed electrician as well as an apprentice and charging for both, even when the job only needs one person. The invoice inflates the number of hours (extra hour for the apprentice since they can't double count the charge for the first service hour for that person). When calling to inquire why the invoice was 3 times what was expected, we were told 'we are not in the industry so we don't know anything'. We verified with other tradespeople who confirmed that it's not standard practice to pay for employees-in-training, nor is the installation of an outlet for a propane insert a 2-person job or a job that should cost $1400. This includes $200 for permit work, but after following up with the city we learned no permit had been submitted (which was then quickly, though inaccurately, done after the city reached out). Judging by other reviews here, it seems we are not the only ones with this experience. New England Electric and Quality Electric sound like good alternatives, more reasonably priced and much better customer service.

I was very pleased with the service. I called on Monday and they were able to come Friday to install 2 ceiling lights and a ceiling fan. Tony and Alex were very professional and went out of there to not disrupt our internet and heat to the snake. Their prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend

The night before an appraisal of my house, I accidentally cut the ground wire while trimming. Upset, I called Lakeside at 9 pm. They assured me they would come out first thing the next morning before the appraisal and sure enough, there they were. Fixed a major problem in no time at all and made time to fix a few other things as well. Forever grateful. They’re the ones. Thank you, Lakeside Electric. 🙏🙏🙏

I hired Lakeside Electric to replace an old chandelier and install a new one. I had never hired a contractor before, so I reached out to every highly reviewed electrical company in the area. Lakeside Electric stood out as the only company with prompt, clear, and accessible communication, fair pricing, and a straightforward process. That is all to say, I did your homework for you on all the electricity companies in the area. Just choose this one and you won't be disappointed.

We are so pleased with the communication, service, and fair price we got from Northstar Electric. In speaking with the electrician that came out, it's clear that Cody runs a great business, is very organized, professional, and treats his employees well. Benny who came out was informative, easy going, and friendly. We are very happy with having hired Northstar to wire our heat pump, add a breaker for it, and an additional outlet. We would highly recommend this business and will plan to use them in the future for our electrical needs.
