we purchased a home at the end of July and knew going into it we needed a few things to be completed, including adding a dryer outlet, a GFI outlet near the hot tub, and a total rewire of the first floor. Johnny was quick to respond and was even able to meet us at the house the day we closed to go over what we wanted done, and the best way to get the projects done in a realistic and timely fashion. His team worked to get us in early for the smaller projects (dryer outlet and GFI for hot tub) so we did not have to wait for all projects to be done at once. We also had to reschedule a few times due to illness, and they worked to get us rescheduled in a realistic and timely fashion. His entire team was friendly, professional, and trustworthy. It's always hard trusting someone with your home, and I can say that Johnny, and everyone at BOLT, far exceeded our expectations on all fronts. I highly recommend them for all your electrical needs. with all electricians being in demand and having waits, they were definitely worth it!! I will certainly be using them for any future needs!

Bolt Electric saved us when our house was receiving only half power. Another electrical company had already misdiagnosed the problem, quoting us over 8K to replace our underground wire. Luckily, we called Johnny for a second opinion! He was able to check on us the same day, diagnosed the issue within 20 minutes, shut off service to our house for safety reasons, and returned within an hour with a new meter box. Our power was restored within a few hours and he saved us from spending thousands on the wrong issue!

Johnny and his exceptional crew just completed a whole house rewire for us. The work was completed very quickly, extremely professionally, and they were very responsive throughout the process. The guys at Bolt Electric ran power into 4 rooms for me and installed 4 lighted ceiling fans on one of the hottest days yet. It was over 120⁰ in the attic!

I highly recommend Bolt Electric for all your electrical needs! We needed help setting up a pedestal and running a line for our new electrical service and Johnny and his team were extremely communicative and gave us updates along the way. He and his team are true professionals and overall great people.

We are very grateful for Bolt electric. They were prompt in getting us scheduled and were early on the day of the service. Afterward we called them because of a different issue. We embarrassingly missed this very simple fix. Bolt was non-judgmental of these new homeowners and really accommodating to visit us the same day.

Super happy with our service from Bolt. We lost power in half our house overnight, I sent a service request through their website at 6 AM, got a call from the office at 8 AM and was able to schedule a repair for the same day. The guys were communicative and thorough, we got our problem fixed by 10:30 AM! I really appreciate how quickly we got everything resolved, and on a snowy day no less

Excellent experience overall.

We had a malfunctioning outlet that was affecting another outlet in the house. Plus we also had a broken switch and some concerns about a few breakers that seemed loose.

Scheduling was easy. Johnny came and checked everything out. He gave us a quote to replace the outlets with GFCI devices, which seemed reasonable. He also said our breakers were functioning properly, but that they were old and if some started to break down it would be cheaper in the long run to replace the entire panel. I asked what that would cost and he quoted us around $2,000, which again seemed reasonable.

We got a followup call and email asking if we wanted to schedule the work. They gave an official quote of $386.25 but the actual cost ended up being less (which was a pleasant surprise). They also give a discount for payment in checks, so altogether it was $325. I don't think we were charged for the preliminary visit, which as far as I know is not the case with other local companies like Lloyd. Maybe there is a charge and they drop it if you get the work done, but we were never informed of one so I'll assume there isn't.

The guys who did the actual work were friendly, respectful, worked quickly, and explained everything clearly. The woman who runs scheduling and billing called a number of times to confirm things throughout the process. I had asked about mailing a check but she actually came to pick it up herself, so that made things easy. I also like their system of sending you everything via email so that you have a record, can see the official quote and approve it ahead of time before scheduling, and also view your invoice.

So all in all, communication was excellent, they were reasonably priced, were pleasant and easy to work with. Will definitely go with Bolt again should we have future electrical issues.

I've used Northern Electrical Service & Dryer Vent Cleaning Services VT, twice during the last 2 years and they are amazing! Super friendly, fast and manage a service that most people don't even think about. After the first time of service use, I got a reminder text and email inquiring if I'd like to use them again, which I did. The second time, I scheduled my appointment but I had to push it back a few hours due to an unexpected mishap in scheduling on my behalf and they easily accommodated me in short notice. They were super nice and I was super appreciative! I will continue to use Northern Electrical Service & Dryer Vent Cleaning Services VT and highly recommend to others.
