We recently had a need for extensive electrical work. Based on recommendations from friends, we contacted Rusty’s Electric for an estimate. Russ, the owner, came out to our home and we found him to be extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Russ had an excellent knowledge of electrical issues, listened carefully to our concerns, looked at our situation, and made very useful suggestions on what could work (and they did!). Keith was the electrician who did the work. He was a quiet, no nonsense professional who calmly and quietly went about his job. He had the wonderful ability to think on his feet. For example, when other work being done required us to make some changes to a few of the electrical jobs, Keith listened to what we wanted to change and figured out how to make it work. He did excellent, quality work. We’re very happy with the work done by Rusty’s Electric and will be using them for any future electrical needs.

2. He came and looked at the job in a very timely way.
3. He asked questions, listened to us, made sure he was clear about what we wanted.
4. Asked if there was anything else we wanted while he is coming

6. Did all the work we asked for with excellent results!
7. And he is nice!

This is the best trades company I have ever encountered! Rusty has excellent and timely communication, accurate estimates, punctuality, and a calm and professional demeanor. Everyone on his staff was respectful, competent and thorough. Their work is high quality and the house was left so clean afterwards that it seemed as if the outlets appeared by magic! The invoice was very detailed and completely accurate to the work that was done. I look forward to using this company again when we finish the basement of the house!

Does really good work and has really fair prices.

Not only did it take over a month to get an appointment scheduled after accepting their bid, but I have now been completely blown off for 2 appointments. I understand things happen, but no call, no message, no communication at all.

They are the best company that you can ask for. I had a problem with my dryer come to find out it was the breaker on the pole outside my house. It was fixed within the time frame they said it would be. Thankyou to Dan and your company!!

We’ve been using Dexter Electric for the last four years and cannot recommend them enough. They’ve done everything from replacing wires to installing lights to adding outlets to properly grounding equipment/utilities to installing bathroom fans. Our house went from an electric nightmare to a place that we call home. We are continuing to use Dexter Electric for other projects such as bathroom remodel and outside lights and will continue to use them throughout. Lastly, as reliable contractors in Vermont are exceptionally challenging to find, I would classify Dexter Electric as the very best that we’ve seen.

Dexter Electric just upgraded our house from 100 Amps to 200. They were fantastic! I can't recommend them highly enough. If you've had any work done on your house in the last few years, you know how hard it is to find someone who will just show up and get it done. Dexter did just that. They show up when they say they will and do professional, high quality work. We're so happy we found them, and will definitely use them in the future!

I requested a simple electrical task to be done locally. As soon as I mentioned I was calling from outside of South Burlington the person I spoke with became angry and hung-up the phone immediately. This isn't the kind of communication I'd personally want to work with.

Bill has done a couple of jobs for me and every time his work has been amazing and a he is a pleasure to deal with.

Bill and Dakota are always clean and professional. All work has always been completed in a timely fashion and to the customers satisfaction. Highly recommended

Bill is great to work with. When we approached him with our original plan for recess lighting in our condo, he steered us to a better value option even though it would have been a less expensive option. While doing the work (installing two overhead fans and repositioning an existing feature) he was very communicative and called frequently with any unforseen problems or updates. He also took the time to explain things in a way that I, a person with no understanding of electricity or electric work, could understand I will definitely recommend Bill to a friend, and would use him again on any projects!

Dakota, Josh and Gavin did an excellent job in replacing our range hood.... I couldn't be happier with the service they provided.

Dakota came to work on my outside breaker box. He greeted me with a handshake, introduction and an easy friendliness. Dakota was very thorough in his inspection as he went through everything with a fine tooth comb. Dakota replaced a part and also fixed the door on the breaker box as he checked everything and explained all to me. I am very impressed and would recommend highly. Thank you Dakota!

We use Mark and his team for generator maintenance. Super responsive and less expensive than competitors. We are VERY happy.
