We have had Gillett Electric come to the house on two different occasions for repairs. We were so impressed with not only the service they provided, but as well we were impressed with their service experts. Would never hesitate to call them again.

Had two ceiling fans installed by a handyman service but then lost power after install. Needed to call an Electrician to remedy the problem. Evan with Gillett Electric did a great job and was able to identify the faulty install wiring quickly and get my power back on.

The estimate appointment went fine, then I waited a week for anyone to even send me the estimate at which point I sent an email. I get a response says we have been very busy and understaffed lately. Fine. I pay the deposit and wait for them to call me to schedule an appointment. I wait another week before I reach out to them wondering if when I can get service. Three weeks. Fine. I take off work for the day because the estimate quoted 2-3 hours of labor at an 8:00 appointment. 8:00 rolls around and no one comes. 9:00 comes and goes and no one comes. I call at 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30 wondering if there is a delay. Not even one response. 11:00 comes and a technician calls and says we are 10 minutes out. I say great I’m here and ready to get the repair done. It took 45 minutes and the guys that came were very nice and cleaned everything up. 1 hour after the service was completed I get a phone call from a woman says that I was double booked for an 8:00 appointment and she was sorry. I will never recommend your services to anyone. To this day I have not even received a bill almost two weeks after service, but I’m sure after they read this review someone will get around to it. Do yourself a favor, save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Contracted with Gillett Electric to add a couple outlets to our home. Grant came out promptly to estimate the job which was scheduled right away. Cole, the electrician, showed up on time and completed the job in a workmanlike manner. He was a nice young man. Very happy with Gillett and would use them again for any electrical needs.

Gillett Electric was recommended to us and they did not disappoint. We were on a tight schedule to have an outlet moved so a custom cabinet could be installed.
They were very accommodating and completed the job timely!

I highly recommend Gillett Electric LLC for residential electrical work based on my recent experience described below. I will definitely use them again for future electrical projects.

This was my first experience with Gillett Electric. My electrical requirements were for installation of a transfer switch sub-panel (including 5 essential loads circuits) and a 50 amp outlet. We have a battery Power Station that connects to these components for home backup power.

Everyone involved in the process including quoting, scheduling and installation,was friendly, prompt and professional. The electricians (Cole and Hayden) were prompt, polite and professional, communicated well throughout the process, completed all tasks as planned including testing, and left the area perfectly clean afterwards.

This is a top notch company who really cares about their reputation and their employees and work reflect that.

I called and left a message. I was called back right away on a Friday, and told they are very busy, and even recommended another business to try to reach.

Needed help fast and they come same day got my main breaker swapped out and my house up and running didn't miss a beat with Christmas coming! Will definitely call again! Customer service was great also.

It was a Saturday and we never had a problem that we had to have an electrician to come to our house. Found that Vlies Electric was 24 hour 7 days a week. So called and they came out right away. He was a very nice guy and fixed it with no problem.
Their number is in my phone for next time I need a electrician. And I was shocked to see how low the bill was for coming out on a Saturday. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would

On our new home project in Door County with Tielens Construction, we worked with Randy and Kedra Vlies for our electrical design and installation, including the install of our generator. Randy and Kendra, and their team, were great to work with, and we are very happy with the work they did for us. They were very helpful during our electrical walkthrough with offering suggestions based on their experiences. They were also great on follow through to get a few things ironed out, and made sure we were happy with everything installed. We are just finishing the end of our first year in the house, and we enjoy it more and more everyday.

Randy and his team at Vlies Electric are truly one of the best contractors in Door County. I have used them twice in the last 8 years to do a complete wire on two brand new buildings. Both times they were by far the best sub we had. Proffesional, honest and do very good work. I wouldn't even think to get an estimate from any other electrician in Door County, he is the best and his work shows that. His whole team is great! Next time you need anything electrical done in Door County Randy and Vlies electric should be your only call!

We built a new home and Vlies was the electrical contractor. Kendra patiently provided guidance and expertise for the electrical layout in the house. Kendra and Randy did a thorough walk through with us before the electrical was installed so we could plan for all of the switches, fixtures, outdoor lighting, etc. We had a few follow ups after the house was completed. Kendra was responsive and quick to send someone on her team to address the follow ups. The electrician team are knowledgeable and thorough. They ensure that any issues are being fully resolved.
