Super unprofessional company they will do anything in there power to sign you up and once your panels are on an something brakes or goes wrong no one is be found and will leave you in the dark for weeks if not months with your panels not working

The Surf Clean crew came to our house right on time. We were warmly greeted by Kyle who explained all the work that was going to be done. He was extremely patient with my crazy dog and even fixed our loose door handle. Surf Clean is lucky to have him. The entire crew was awesome working swiftly and carefully, and we had our solar system up and running in just six hours! They left the property spotless and they did an amazing job! I highly recommend this company if you’re looking to go solar.

ETA- 9/8/2025 they promise a $1000 installation bonus but what they don't tell you is they drag out the inspection process because they don't have the man power to show up to scheduled inspections. Two stars because I'm still happy with having solar but the company has become annoying to deal with.

They just missed their third scheduled inspection appointment. Save yourself the aggravation and go with a different, better organized company.

Very disappointed in my experience with Surf Clean Energy. I have been strung along since June of last year to finalize permits with the town. Seems like a scam more than a business at this point. No email or call responses after a costly repair “needed” to submit permits.

Do not use this company, unprofessional and unreliable. I have patiently waited for months after excuses and delays

The crew installed the panels quickly. The first Electrician's Assistant messed up and caused an additional day and replacement of wall board. The second assistant, Kyle, did excellent work and was open to questions and explanations.
All in all, everyone was respectful and efficient.

I got my solar panels installed in January 2023. So you know my disappointment is well warranted.
First of all, they have very deceptive practices in place. They quote very low and when you are half way through the project, numbers change magically.
They harass you in such belligerent ways to get paperwork from you and give you very little information. They promised me beautiful and slick critter guards and left me with horrific eye sores.
Let's fast forward to 2025. I just found out my battery has been incorrectly installed, and they are not even listed as my "maintainers" because they obviously are not equipped to provide such support or services.
Perhaps I should have done my homework better before committing to this company, but I can save you from grief and disappointment. I suggest you stick to more reliable companies that have their own installers and at least not this many 1 star reviews. Don't be swoon by their numbers.

Headline: Deceptive Business Practices – Panels Do Not Match with Contract.

​I am writing this to warn others about Surf Clean Energy. I hired them to install a solar system at my home, but they failed to install the specific panels outlined in our legally binding contract. They swapped the equipment for different models without my consent or notification.

​To make matters worse, their post-installation "service" is non-existent. I have attempted to contact my salesperson multiple times to resolve this discrepancy, and I am being completely ghosted. I waited 6 more months to fix the issue. But the sales person never replied my messages. This is a clear-cut case of bait-and-switch and fraudulent business practices.

If you go with this company for your solar system installation, make sure that you check every parts as per contract before installation. Otherwise, this company will install wrong parts without informing you. This is very dishonest and fraudulent business practices.

Whoever used this company and gave a good feedback, please recheck your system if panels/parts are 100% accurate as per the contract.

I can recommend Surf Clean Energy to anyone needing to have solar panels installed. They kept their commitments and did a good job. Their installers were friendly and professional, and they cleaned up after they were done. The office staff followed up to make sure all the paperwork with the utility and inspectors got approved.

This is the update after 3 years:

The solar installed by this company has developed severe leaks, causing water damage across multiple spots on my second floor. Despite reaching out several times, I haven’t received consistent follow-up. The owner called me a few weeks ago and promised to address the issue, but no repair has been completed.

As a result, my ceiling and ceiling fan have been damaged. This has been a frustrating experience, and I encourage anyone considering this company to do thorough research and compare other options first.

I have documented all communication and review all the complaint against them in Better Business Bureau website.
