Everything went fantastic during our installation, which was completed into two short days. My wife and I bought our first house in early 2022, and installing solar panels was the first major home improvement project we had. We reached out to a few installers, local and out-of-state, and decided to go with Elysium Solar after my first chat with Kayla. She was so knowledgeable about all the technical details of solar systems and explained to me clearly the pros and cons of different panels and inverters. The solar system they proposed was the overall best system available on the market and at a great price among the ones I quoted. It was also very easy and fun working with Kayla and Zach on the installation! They took care of everything (permit, electricity, inspection, installation, etc.) smoothly and efficiently. My only job was to stand there and watch them doing the fantastic work. Our ~6.8kW solar system has been up and running perfectly for about three months. It produces 20-30 kWh on a sunny winter day, way beyond my expectations. I'm so glad that we chose Elysium Solar as our installer! If you are interested in getting solar, definitely talk with Kayla and you won't regret it.

Zach and Kayla did a great job planning and installing my solar panels. They adjusted their schedule so it worked with my travel plans, they took care of all the necessary permits, and did the whole job (30 panels), including the electrical connections, in one day. They even stayed on top of the utility company and made sure they came to switch my meter in a timely manner. My roof looks great, and my Enphase app tells me that I am producing net electricity even on overcast days like today. It's good to know you are saving money while doing your small part to save the planet. My only regret is that I did not install panels on my other property at the same time!

Elysium Solar Energy did an excellent job of designing and installing the solar system on my home. Kayla listened carefully to the requirements and adapted the design to the limitations of a rather small house. They also planned for extra capacity for a probable expansion of this system once the construction of an addition on the house is complete.

We had been considering solar for several years, and at the beginning of 2022 got a lot more serious about our research. We got online quotes from several companies, and interviewed two in person. Elysium Solar Energy's quote got our attention, but as soon as I spoke with Kayla on the phone I sensed that we had found our match. When she and Zach visited our home personally we knew immediately that they were our choice hands-down. Their transparency, concern for our best interest, respect for the integrity of our home, and their insight was light years beyond anyone we had spoken to... and it only got better after we signed on with them. Our home was a challenge because we have a steep roof, and they also had to connect panels from the far side of our house to our garage without having to trench or having conduit exposed everywhere - and you can't even see the transition. Our only hiccup was one of our panels wan't working upon installation, but they had it remedied within a week or so of receiving the part - pretty impressive considering that they are 2 HOURS away from where we live. We cannot say enough about this sincere, energetic, professional team. A breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief in finding them. They are few and far between. Needless to say, we HIGHLY recommend Elysium Solar Energy to anyone considering going solar!

Kayla and Zach are the best. They are there the whole time from the original proposal, installation, and after installation to answer all questions. The installation was top notch and looks great. The system worked exactly the way they described, and is saving us tons. Highly recommend them. They blow any of the competitors away with material quality, warranty, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

I reached out to Elysium Solar looking for a whole-house battery backup installation. Although they let me know that they only install battery systems as part of a full solar installation—and couldn’t take on my project—they still took the time to speak with me. The woman I spoke with was extremely helpful, taking a few minutes to talk me through my options and even suggesting another company that might be able to help.

If you are looking, contact them first - we talked to others and we ultimately went with Elysium as they were most interested in helping us and listening and making little tweaks for our benefit.

I would highly recommend Zach and Kayla. They have been great to work with and are always quick to answer any questions we have. They take pride in their work and that is appreciated. My system was recently installed and has been working great. They worked with me to find the best location since we have a ground mount system. Before we purchased, they also connected me with someone that had a similar system I was looking to install. Being able to meet someone and ask them questions beforehand was very helpful.

Zach and Kayla were a pleasure to work with. Their knowledge of Enphase solar products and upgrades was enlightening (pun intended) The installation was delayed due to weather and my availability. Once we were able to co-ordinate our schedules the work was completed quickly and efficiently.

Zack and Kayla run a great shop at Elysium Solar. They did a FANTASTIC job for us. As you will see, in some ways this review may be premature, but read to see why it needs to be shared.

Before getting to what differentiates Zack and Kayla - and those details are why I’m writing this early review - here are the technical details for our solar setup It will give an idea of the types of equipment they use. Our system is a 16.8kW set of 42, black Q-Cell panels and accompanying Enphase IQ8A micro-inverters. All rail mounted to our asphalt shingle roof using mostly Unirac components (Zack does swear by an IronRidge ground clamp, and I love the passion he put into explaining why. Seriously, if technical details are your thing, ask him). Our system is split between a south facing array of 24 panels and a West facing array of 18 panels. Expected output is ~22,000 kWh. Our 12 month trailing usage is ~19,900 kWh. In theory we should be net energy producers over a 12 month period. We’ll be starting close to winter solstice, so days are short and initial production will be low. Summer should catch us up. We’ll know in ~1 year if the model is or isn’t overly impacted by the trees that shade our panels at low sun angles. The whole thing was inspected yesterday. Paperwork filed. Now just waiting for our utility company to process the request and get us on a net meter. Hence the comment on this potentially being premature.

But honestly, many companies could probably do a half decent job installing your solar. What Kayla and Zack did for us wasn’t just solar and was next level. Earlier this year we had our electric service “upgraded” by another company. They took us from 200A to 400A, new load centers, the works. The “upgrade” went VERY badly. Crossed wires, a stove wired at 120V instead of 240V, arc flash damage, unbonded boxes and a totally disconnected ground. Ultimately installed with a main conductor half the required size. A massive fire hazard. Installed and “inspected” so haphazardly as to border on negligence - though I’m not the judge of that. I’ve skipped some other details here. The install was BAD.

So what does that have to do with Zack and Kayla? After all, they’re solar installers and didn’t do that work. Well, I literally didn’t know what to do. I had tried for weeks to get the original inspector back out. When the undersized conductor was discovered, Zack got involved. He talked with the original inspector after I got him on the phone. Zack showed him all sorts of issues via FaceTime. We called another inspector to come out and reinspect the supposedly upgraded service. It failed for 11 different cited code violations. After that Kayla contacted me to assure me that before they left my house, not only my solar, but also my electric service would be PERFECT, her word choice. Ultimately they helped line us up with Lums Electric - who they use to help wire in their solar to their clients’ service connections. The old load centers were ripped out. New ones were put in. The wires were comparatively neat and tidy. The bonding was top notch. The layout thought through. Conductors all comfortably high gauges. Troughs used to make the install look clean. In short, high quality, professional work. Where my first install left me feeling jaded about area electricians and the “inspection” process, Zack and Kayla lined up good people who don’t cut corners and who are manifestly proud of the quality of their work. I only wish I had asked them for advice at the outset. So much better. Literally, and without exaggeration, Elysium’s actions could have saved my life or my wife and two kids’ lives. Zack could’ve ignored what he saw when he visited, hurried up to complete the install, and walked away with our money. His portion would’ve been great. But he didn’t do that. He and Kayla went the extra mile and left us with a house that not only has solar on the roof, but is also safe.

Elysium are fantastic. I got quotes from multiple solar companies, and they offered comparable prices but they went above and beyond in every other category. Their system is independently rated as the best available today, and Kayla & Zach were down to earth, honest, informative, and understanding through the whole process. I can’t recommend them enough.

(Side note: PA Solar Center is a great resource! That’s how I found Elysium. I obviously picked them, but there was a huge difference between who I talked to on PA’s list vs big corporate names. The big guys have all sorts of shady purchasing ruses that hurt small consumers.The ones endorsed by Pennsylvania all had simple, standard practices. Protect yourself and go local!!!)

Highly recommended! I can’t even begin to thank Kayla and Zach enough for the expertise and help they provided when my solar company went out of business and left me with a failed optimizer that I could not find someone to replace. After months of trying to find a local installer, repeatedly being told that no one wanted to work on a system that wasn’t theirs, I was finally lucky enough to call Elysium and speak with Kayla.

I explained my situation and Kayla was empathetic and kind and sent Zach out the SAME DAY to swap out the optimizer. He was knowledgeable and took the time to explain things and answer technical questions I had. After the repair, it became clear to Zach that there was also an issue with the inverter and he coached me on what to report back to the manufacturer in order to request a replacement. As of now, less than a week after Zach’s visit, the inverter RMA has been approved and I am waiting for the replacement to be shipped.

I recently had Jingle Bell Lights install Gemstone permanent lights on my house, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! A few of my neighbors have similar permanent lighting setups from other brands, but sitting side-by-side, the Gemstone lights are noticeably better and significantly brighter. While the price point is a bit higher than some of the competitors out there, the exceptional quality of the lights and the top-notch service from the installation team make it well worth the investment. On top of that, the Gemstone app is incredibly user-friendly and works flawlessly. It’s no surprise it has so many glowing reviews on the app store!
