Excavating Contractor reviews across the US

We, Bear Sign Company, used ready dig to auger a hole for a new pylon sign at Macomb Mall. Like another review noted, these guys went way above and beyond when we discovered an old parking lot down 18” below the ground at our marked sign location. The Ready Dig guys got the concrete saws, and jack hammers out to bust up a 42” square slab so we could continue digging our 36” diameter hole down to 96” deep. Then they removed the excavated debris from the site at an extremely reasonable rate. The entire ordeal saved us an overnight, added cost, and time. These guys are the real deal. Thank god we didn’t hydro that footing!

Just do it. Just hire them. We are general contractors in Los Angeles but we needed a very complicated job done in Detroit so we hired Ready Dig Excavation. Imagine hiring somebody to demo and haul 40 tons of concrete slab when you have never looked them in the eye? Thankfully we hired Frank because there were shocking unforeseen problems. The kind of problems that make your heart sink when they come up. Did Frank send me a change order for an inflated rate because I was three time zones and helpless? Nope. Could he have? In a minute. Instead, he fixed the problem, purchased four times more fill than we agreed on and didn’t charge me a dime because Frank is a man of his word.

Ready-Dig was efficient from start to finish. I had a large sinkhole form right where my property meets the street and was responsible for repairing the sinking asphalt of the street at well. The quotes I got in the beginning were through the roof! Frank came by the same day I called him to give me quote. He and his assistant assessed the situation with ease and knowledge (not like some of the other knuckleheads who were ignorant about what was happening). They gave me an excellent quote.
He actually called to ask if he could start the job a couple days early! Compare that to the companies that said the frozen ground meant they couldn’t do the job til April.
They knocked the job out with ease.
This is the company you want to go with for honest fair pricing and an excellent work ethic. -
Frank is the most available and knowledgeable plumber I have ever used in 20 years of managing hundreds of properties. Reasonably priced too! Give him a call

I can't say enough positive things about Frank and his team. They were fantastic. I had a sewer line failure that was found as part of a house sale inspection. I got his information and he came out the same day and was on site in less than 2 weeks, as it wasn't an emergency. They showed up on time and had it done in less than a day and a half. Their clean up was way better than I anticipated and there has been very little restoration I've had to complete. On top of it was that the repair was between 2 garages with 6' of room to work. They didn't damage anything. Surprising for contractors now a days. Hopefully I'll never need their services again, but I'd hire them in an instant. PLUS, they were extremely competitive compared to a previous quote I got from the "city recommended" contractor. GREAT JOB FRANK.

Employees came to the job talked to me what they planned to do and from start to finish cleaned up no mess job well done

Frank is a great guy and reasonable. He fixed my front yard plumbing line. Gave me great deal. I will recommend him. 👍

Had the main drain backed up all the way from the the connection to the main lines on the street. Frank and co quoted a reasonable price, reasonable time and executed the job as expected. 0 issues. On time. Would hire again.

The quick review for these guys is they did great work at an honest and fair price and on as reasonable a timeline you could expect when working with municipal government on permits.
I had a seemingly unique job involving three large tree stumps which had grown around a chain link fence making them a no-go for tree stump grinders, and one had grown under the driveway turning it into a ramp which was a no-go for many driveway or concrete companies. I needed to hire an excavation company which could ideally handle the trees and the driveway. After an initial quote of $10k just to remove the tree and driveway I was reserved to doing this myself but gave one last shot of reaching out to professionals. Luckily one of the first companies I came across was ready dig who sent Maury out within the next few days and he came back at nearly half the price INCLUDING concrete repour, done deal right there!
In less than a week the team was here the day after easter and had all the trees, chain link, and damaged driveway section gone by the end of the day. During this process the guys recommended I do the whole driveway as one pour given all of the individual slabs were settling differently and causing drainage problems. I agreed and by Wednesday the driveway was gone and ready for a new one. City permits delayed the pour but the team took that time to take extra care with the underlayment, compaction, and expansion joints against my house. I even came home one day to Frank finishing up fixing a hole in the mortar of the block surrounding my slab for my house without me asking!
Once all the permits were approved these guys had the driveway done in a day, and the street approach came quickly after. Everything was done above board and to code with saw cuts, and they even fought through an extra wet concrete batch to shape the perfect driveway approach. These guys were prompt, professional, and took great pride in their work even going above and beyond with the mortar, underlayment, and backfill around my driveway. The comraderie amongst the guys was great to see, and special thanks to Frank for taking the time to explain the process to me!
I would highly recommend these guys for any excavation or concrete work, or maybe both if you have a situation like me! It is difficult to find honest people willing to do honest work at a fair rpice, but I am glad I found these guys! -
Stop searching — this is the team you want!
Frank and his crew at Ready-Dig Excavation are absolute lifesavers. Plumbing problems can turn your world upside down, but they made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and unbelievably fast. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and calm confidence turned a major headache into a sigh of relief.
Seriously, don’t waste another minute scrolling — just pick up the phone and call them. You’ll thank yourself later. We couldn’t be happier with the results and will recommend Ready-Dig to everyone we know! -
My wife and I purchased an older home that required some significant sewage repair work. We worked with a few different contractors prior to reaching out to Ed and his team, and all of them failed to really address the entire issue(s). After reaching out to Ed, we were provided a thoughtful quote that included all work needed to FULLY fix our problems. No cut corners, no lies, just good honest work! Ed and his team showed up and completed the task in a timely and diligent manner. They were nice, polite, thorough, and provided an excellent service as a fair cost. I cannot recommend enough. Very pleasant experience.

Great work from a skilled team. Job was done on time, and they left the site better than the way they found it. Highly recommend.
-
Awesome. Went above and beyond to fix our sewer problem for the original quote (even though he found additional problems). Great job on clean up too. Highly recommend Ed.

I had a break in my sewer line 10 feet under my porch. Ed had it fixed and even repaired my porch within 48 hours. Came through like a champ. Exceptional work.

Ed's team completed our project quickly and was really helpful explaining the details of the work they were doing. Definitely going to be my go to for any future projects.
