If it wasn't for Davie Shoring we would not have been able to stay on our beloved island. The whole process was so smooth, every employee was so gracious and our property was immaculate when our project was finished. They know what they are doing and they do it well! Don't hesitate to contact them if you don't want to lose everything again in a flood, the peace of mind we have is priceless!

We contacted Davie Shoring a few days after our home flooded during hurricane Helene. Ed came out within a few days and we quickly decided they were the right company to do our lift. Their experience alone made them the logical choice.
They completed our engineering plans quickly and secured permits and work began in February.
Our home lift has been the talk of the neighborhood with people visiting daily to see the process.
The entire crew have been phenomenal. Their work ethic is tremendous with crews working long hours and weekends to get the job done.
Shoutout to Jensen our project manager who’s been available since day 1 keeping us updated with the progress and next steps.
It’s now June and our home is lifted 12ft with the garage walls and floors built below. We still have a lot of work to be done by our next contractor but if you’re thinking of elevating your home your first and only call should be to Davie Shoring.

I would like to edit my previous rating as that was written before the project was complete. The communication at the end was absolutely horrible. I waited two months for them to get their inspections signed off which delayed my next contractor from his portion of the projection. On top of that, they still haven’t installed my access door and theirs been a dumpster in my drive way. I’ve messaged relentlessly trying to get these items done and they won’t respond to my messages or finish the work. I don’t recommend using Davie shoring

We signed our house lift contract and paid the 20% deposit 6 months ago. Since then, the process has been nothing but frustrating and filled with delays.

They pressured us to “sign now, sign now” so the project could get moving quickly, yet it took months of begging just to receive our initial drawings!—let alone start the permit process. When the permit was finally submitted, they hadn’t even come to our property. Instead, they relied on Google Earth and completely ignored a tree right on our property line. The permit was kicked back for this obvious mistake, something that could have easily been avoided if they had simply done their due diligence and asked us.

Now, 6 months later, we are still stuck in site plan review with no clear path forward. Natural Resources disapproved twice (7/14 and 7/28 because of the tree), and Plans Coordination marked Corrections Required on 7/14 and again on 7/30. Still unresolved. They blamed the city but the city is waiting on Davie Shoring to resubmit corrected plans. Nothing has moved since July 30, 2025, almost a month ago, despite our calls and their promises.

Getting Stewart or Alan on the phone is nearly impossible, and when I do, the promises made are never fulfilled. They blame the city. So I contacted the city myself for best practices on our permit and, unlike Shoring, they responded within hours with a gameplan. I shared this with Shoring and they didn't even respond. Meanwhile, Shoring has repeatedly claimed the city was being “difficult,” but the reality is we haven’t been waiting on the city—we’ve been waiting on Shoring.

Instead of managing the process they promised at signing, I’m the one constantly chasing updates, reminding them about deadlines, and asking about next steps. I’ve been patient, kind, and understanding about their “workload,” but the truth is we paid thousands and they clearly took on more work than they could handle. Now many of us will suffer because of it.

This has been nothing like what was promised. Every extra month we’re left waiting puts our family at greater financial and emotional risk, while Shoring shows no accountability.

I paid the deposit to lift my house based upon their initial evaluation. However, they said that new floor joists would be necessary prior to lifting. When structural engineer evaluated the house, it was deemed unsalvageable and could not safely be lifted. This was relayed back to Davie Shoring. I sent multiple emails and left several voicemails to stop all progress but they continued to move forward including creating drawings and submitting permits in spite of me specifically telling them to stop. They then kept $19,000 of my deposit to pay for work that I told them not to do. Radio silence after that. Now I am having to seek out a lawyer to recoup my losses. Simple return of phone call could have saved all of this.

Marie at Davie Shoring has been an incredible support person during a long permitting process. She is always responsive and positive and willing to go the extra mile to help!

Without my permission, this company used my property as a staging area for their customers job, my contractor could not close his demo permit on my vacant lot because Davie Shoring had concrete blocks and fence paneling they removed so they could access access their customers house and an air conditioning wall hanger And miscellaneous other debris on my property. I had to call 10 times to get them to come remove the cinderblocks still fighting with them to remove the rest of their customers debris that’s on my vacant lot ended up having to talk to the regional manager the folks at the company seem incompetent and want to blame others for their mistakes.

There are reasons they have so many low reviews. They are great at marketing, leveraging media contacts, creating lifting events but when they pull away you may still have lingering quality and workmanship issues like we did. We had cracks, etc that were not fixed. Expect it to cost more, take longer and have some issues when all done.

One of the best decisions we have ever made was to lift our house, allowing us to continue living in the place we love. After losing nearly everything from hurricane Ian surge we interviewed 3 different lifting companys and, fortunately, chose Davie Shoring. Ours is a 55 year old house with multiple additions. We feared, going in, that there would be challenges. And there were. The lifting crew from Davie Shoring was amazing. Josh and Isaac had the experience and knowlege to handle the surprises that arose with a "don't worry, we got this" attitude. And the results were perfect. My many phone calls with questions were answered quickly and accurately. Jonathon, Grace and Isaac were always very friendly and helpful. The job was done as quoted and on time.

The communication during the process was extremely helpful as we were not on site for most of the work. Notably Bruce from Davie consistently updated me on the progress which was very comforting knowing he was actively engaged. The back office team was very helpful as well and I took great comfort that I had chosen the right team to complete this project - very happy and appreciative of all their hardbwork.

I signed a contract to have my home elevated in October 2024. During this project, I had reached out to multiple site, supervisors for questions or updates on the progress, such as permitting surveys, and a start date of the project. Without success of getting a return call or text, I called the main office in Louisiana. I had the pleasure of talking to Miss Marie Taylor On numerous occasions. I would confide to her my questions and without fail, she would get the answers. She goes the extra mile to make you feel you are a valued customer. Marie has shown excellent customer service skills while speaking with me. She is always so polite, caring and eager to assist. In my opinion, Marie has Has proved to be a 10 star employee of Davies Shoring. It is also my opinion that Davie Shoring is very fortunate to Have her answering the phones and handling concerns as well as she has with me. She is definitely a gem and greatly deserves this recognition. Thanks for all your assistance Marie!
