I purchased a generator for my new home from RCS and they were prompt with delivery and installation. Leslie was very helpful throughout the whole process and promptly answered every question I had. I will do business with them again in the future.

Was quoted a price for boat lift hookup, when they finished the price almost doubled. I argued with owner got price back down to reasonable amount. 6 mths. later lift quit working, called to come fix, wanted to charge 175.00 for service visit, said I only had 90 day warranty. Needless to say, they can kiss my you know what! DO NOT USE THESE RIP-OFFS!!!!

I was interested in a whole home generator. My wife and I went into the office located at NE Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL. Set up an appointment for a tech to come to the house. The day and time was scheduled for a few days away. The day came, however, there was a no show. I called the office a half hour before the time frame expired. I asked was the tech still coming, then I was "disconnected". I called back and then was informed "No". We never received a phone call to cancel or reschedule the appointment. I was told by the person that "things happen". This is no way to run a business and this company does not deserve a 5 star rating!!

Their price was fair and actually cheaper than other competitors. More importantly, they finished the job quickly and kept me updated the whole time with pictures through text and email. They made sure I was happy, and I definitely am!

Charged my cc $900 upfront to look at 2 generators last Thursday. Scheduled to come out Monday. They took generator information and tech comitted to come out Monday at 8 am. I spoke to tech 7:30 a.m. and he said he was 30 minutes away. Called again at 8:30 no answer. Spoke to office at 9...girl told me tech had a flat tire and he would be out in afternoon. She continued to tell me there was an issue with the tire for two weeks (really?) I told her to cancel and refund my money as no two stories they were telling me matched. I called again today to see why my refund wasn't processed and office girl said they could only accept funds not refund....you do the math. My cc card company is protecting me from this businesses practices.

Carlos was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was glad I found this company to help me with my Onan 5500 Generator. Thank you very much.

I took my small Yamaha generator into these folks after hurricane Irma. I’ve had it for 10+ years ......it was $1500 new in 2006 ......it was running a little rough so these folks did a wonderful job ....it was completely redone .....it works perfectly now....the best $300 I’ve ever spent! BTW Folks.....Best not to wait to the last minute to have your generators worked on .....better safe than sorry. Thanks RCS!

RCS posted a fraudulent charge for a service contract to my credit card after an initial charge for work on my generator. They admitted that I had not authorized this nor authorized a charge to my generator or signed the paperwork required for a service charge. They promised to call back multiple times (I would call them) to deal with this but never did. Eventually I disputed the charge and they rebilled it. I am now going to file a small claims case against them, but should not have to spend the time doing this. Don't give these guys your credit card number.

Exceptional service Fernando had a smile on his face from start to finish, answered all my questions and showed me how to do things with my generator.
I will use this service all the time now.

About 12 years ago we purchased a new generator from RCS to provide emergency power to our house. Two years ago, we purchased, again from RCS, another upgraded generator to replace the original generator. Both of the installs were completed in a professional and timely manner. During the past 12 years RCS has provided excellent annual preventive maintenance. On the rare occasions when there were issues, RCS responded quickly to fix the problems. Some of these issues required RCS to respond on weekends and holidays. During Hurricane Irma, because of storm surge warnings, we evacuated the area for three days. During our absence, a friend checked on our house and informed us the generator automatically switched on and was running (Doing its job as designed).

2 weeks ago I was given an appointment for servicing my generator but the technician didn’t show up for the service. When I called them after waiting for over 2 hours they informed me that their technician won’t be able to do the service. They made another appointment today and again the technician didn’t show up. I was not notified in advance of their inability to keep the appointments they made.

Very unreliable, irresponsible incompetent company. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with RCS generator company.

when I needed warranty repair for my Onan generator in Cape Coral the rv dealer told me I had to take it to Tampa for the closest Onan repair facility which is typical rv dealer blow off. A quick search on Google revealed an Onan repair facility not 5 miles from where I store our Rv. One quick call later and I had Leslie Ramsey helping me out with ordering parts I needed and setting me up with Miguel an extremely competent and courteous tech. Leslie always answered my calls and took care of all warranty paperwork. Rv dealers could take a lesson from RCS on how to handle customers

RCS & Company went above and beyond to schedule us quickly to replace our electrical panel. The electricians were very courteous and did a wonderful job and even cleaned up the space before they left. If we need an electrician in the future we will definitely call RCS & Company.

RCS does a fantastic job of coming out and making sure your generator is running smoothly as well as does the oil changes and all the necessary maintenance checks on it. I highly recommend you have them come out and service your generator! They were fast and efficient. Thank you RCS for your amazing work.

    Sincerely,
    Kodey Woolsey

We had an issue with a strange noise coming from our electrical panel. Tech ( Daniel ) showed up on time, was very professional, polite and knew his business. I feel he went he went "the extra mile" looking for our problem. He determined what the issue was (not the generator) and made several suggestions as to resolving the problem. I will be doing business with this company going forward after dealing with a different electric company for my Briggs and Stratton Generator. Fred Wagner Cape Coral FL

GREAT SERVICE! I tested my generator on October 8th in preparation for Milton. Could not get it started. It is a newer generator. I ran it in July, and it was fine. But of course, the day before Milton, it does not start. I called numerous companies that - understandably - were not able to help. RCS returned my call and had a tech arrive at my home a few hours later. He diagnosed the problem and determined that it needed repair in their shop. He took it back with him, they repaired it and delivered it THIS MORNING October 9th! 5,000 STARS!!!!!

TLDR: Can’t recommend them for RV Onan generator repairs as they don’t seem to be qualified. Also poor communication and customer service. And questionable review online posted by owner (or his son?).

I am a full-time RVer and hired RCS for some generator repairs. Their website suggested they were familiar with both RVs and Onan generators. I cannot recommend them repairs in that space, and personally would not use them for anything.

I was in southern Florida when my generator started acting up, shutting down after a few months. I needed someone ASAP as I was going to be heading overseas on vacation for two months and needed the generator available for back-up power if the solar didn’t keep up.

On May 6, I put a request in online for a mobile service call and selected “troubleshooting and maintenance” as I wasn’t sure of the exact problem. From what I had read it could have been just a maintenance issue (filters, etc.) or a faulty fuel pump. The cost for the service call was $565. Two guys showed up May 7 (it was for a mobile service call) and did some system checks. After about an hour they said “its an error ##” and that I “needed a new fuel pump.” They said the office would be in touch with me on next steps.

It wasn’t until May 16th that I heard from them again, when they sent a quote for $2240. This quote seemed excessive (I subsequently priced the fuel pump replacement at about $1000) but by then I was in Europe and so I went ahead with it. They noted that the cost included $180 for express shipping and that one was in stock so I should have it in about a week.
After not hearing from them for several weeks I followed up around June 4 and was told they did have the new pump. When I complained that I had paid express shipping they agreed to refund me $150 of the shipping cost.

Around June 11 they finally got out to replace the pump. Later that day I got a text from them with a quote for $1800 to remove the generator to take to their shop to do the replacement. I was dumbfounded and even asked if they were a scam. I told them I wanted to cancel the whole order. They then got back to me that they would finish at no additional charge. My belief was I paid what already appeared to be an excessive fee for a new fuel pump. If the generator had to be removed to install it they should have knows that up front.

On June 17 they let me know they had completed the fuel pump that there was now a problem with the controller and that it needed to be replaced. They promptly sent me an invoice for $5000. The owner had texted me this info. I asked him to document the work they had done. He said it would be a lengthy discussion he could not do over text. I asked that maybe he could write it up for me over the next few days but that I would need to continue the repair elsewhere as we were returning from vacation in 2 days and would need to leave the area then. I didn’t not hear anything back from him.

We took the generator to another repair shop. They noted something wasn’t hooked up properly and fixed it. Everything has worked fine ever since.

They still owed me the $150 refund on the shipping. They sent the first check to the wrong address. They sent the replacement check without a stamp and it got returned to them. Finally I got the check a few days ago.

Also, I noticed that within some of the posted reviews online one of the glowing reviews was actually written by the owner (or his son). Had I noticed that upfront I would not have chosen them.

RCS was very professional and installed an outlet on a boat dock. It was a small job, however, they showed up, provided a fair price, and were able to perform the installation the same day. I was very happy with the communication, price, and work.
