The Montgomery Electrical Services Team is awesome! They are very professional, friendly, easy to work with, honest, reasonably priced, dependable, and more! I will be having more work done in the near future and this is the company I will have do the work. They are the best!

Montgomery Electric is a neighbor, very professional, timely and thorough. Chris follows through with appointments and Charles listens and gives excellent advice and comments. His work is of high quality. I highly recommend using Montgomery Electric.

Like another reviewer, I didn’t want to go to a large company for the electrical work I needed done on my 1985 home. However, I’m new to Clearwater and didn’t know anyone that could make a recommendation, so I went online with Home Advisor and received the names of several companies in the area. I talked with two of them and was dismayed to find out that one of them would only quote the entire job and was unwilling to quote by the hour, and another one wanted to charge me for their travel time to give me a free estimate! Luckily, I went online and found Montgomery Electric, a husband and wife team located in Clearwater. After talking with Chris I was convinced I had the right team, and this was before I met Charles!
When Charles arrived at my home, I didn’t have to ask him to put on his mask. I’ve had to ask every other service person that has come to the house during the pandemic to do that. Because I had both outdoor and indoor wiring issues, Chris asked me to prioritize what I needed done. I showed Charles my outdoor issues first, followed by my indoor issues. The types of problems I knew about included several outdoor plugs and outdoor lights not working, live wires sticking out of a box that did not have a cover on it that shocked a technician installing a water softener, and bad wiring to a pump for a sprinkler system including use of an extension cord. Charles was able to fix those problems and others that I didn’t know about in a little over 5 hours.
I knew about two electrical issues inside the house. Every time I turned a certain switch that controlled a pair of outdoor lights at my dock, the lights in two bedrooms, bathroom, hallway and my TV would go out. I also needed 4 ceiling fans replaced. Little did I know the extent of bad wiring and code violations in the older portion of my home until Charles started to replace the fans!
It turns out a previous owner did his own electrical work to install the original fans. Charles found extension cords used for wiring, switch boxes with no backs, ceiling boxes used instead of fan boxes, and bad wiring. Needless to say, I didn’t know the extent of the bad wiring and code violations, but am so relieved that Charles found the issues and quickly fixed them. I am not an electrician and every time he found an issue he would clearly explain what he found and what needed to be done in terms that I could understand.
And, after every day, he presented me a time and material invoice that clearly described what he did. I truly feel the quality of Charles’ work coupled with the pricing he charged was very reasonable. Both he and Chris are class acts and I strongly recommend them. Sincerely, Jackie
