Electrical reviews in Clearwater, Florida

Gulf Electric was professional, courteous, detail oriented and did everything in a timely matter. Most importantly, they did all that with affordability. Best value for your money, hands down. Grayson installed my Tesla wall connector in less than 90 minutes. Connected it to my home and registered the unit with Tesla. He also help me set up the unit and explained to me how it worked. Amazing!!!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The communication was extremely impressive and they keep you looped in until the time they show up which was exactly when they said they would. If you need an EV charger installation id HIGHLY recommend.

Exceptional service from the original call with Christian, the appointment scheduling with Bri, and the professional service by Zach. Had my Tesla home charger installed within 2 days of contact, and in the speediest time possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for EV charging install service in the area!

This company is fantastic. They are easy to work with, honest, helpful and go above and beyond. Zach installed a Tesla charger and whole home SPD. He left us feeling confident we chose the right company.

Excellent work and Super clean 💪🏼😎
Great team to talk to, they explain everything and keep you inform of the whole process!!

Update 2025: did a recent 2nd job with them in a new home. As always very professional and clean work. Will recommend 100%

I was recommended to use GulfStar to install my Tesla wall connector, and I’m very satisfied with their excellent customer service. The representative explained everything thoroughly before scheduling the appointment and answered all my questions. They accommodated me quickly for scheduling. Watson, their electrician, came over to do the installation. He was very polite, knowledgeable about the product, and even walked me through how to use it. He added the system to my Tesla app and shared some helpful tips, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend GulfStar to anyone looking for a reliable company to install their charger system!

They're the only Tesla charger installer I've ever used, so I don't have much to compare em to, but... THEY'RE GREAT!

They originally installed our charger a few years back at our house, then came out to remove + install it at our new place.

This company came highly recommended to me for my Tesla home charger installation. From the initial call with Christian, who explained in detail what the job entailed including pricing, to the actual install with Geoff, they followed up, were on time, and professional. I would highly recommend them!

Absolutely unmatched in customer service and subject matter expertise. Shoutout to Christian for being a rockstar over the phone, Bri for being so quick over their text message services, and Geoffrey for the cleanest setup ever.

Superior in knowledge vs all other services in the area, strongest in communication and most competitive in pricing. If you need an EV charger installed YOU NEED to reach out to Gulfstar. Truly - there is no one else we felt we can trust after shopping around.

From customer service to the physical installation everything was great! Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, even answering questions that weren’t quite answers they would need to know. Zach was fast, efficient and really nice! He made sure everything was working before leaving as promised, and also made sure he ran through how the charger worked and what to do if it completely turned off. Would definitely work with Gulfstar Electric again :)

I am happy, the installation was done as described. Geoffrey, the electrician, was knowledgeable, polite, punctual and patient- he explained the equipment (tesla charger Level 2) in detail. Great communication. I highly recommend this company. Excellent job!
May Jesus bless you!

TLDR: Home Solar system was installed wrong by the seller who no longer exists and Gulfstar took care of it quickly, effieciently and accurately. Now I'm producing way more power from my system than before and is now better than what code requires.

The origional installer missed a few kinda big things and even with all our panels we still had a few hundred dollars a month for a power bill during the summer. Cut corners and vehicle was not up to code at the time of install. They missed connecting the fridge circuit to the powerwall, powerwall wouldn't charge while in use even when full sun was on my solar panels, no way to monitor what the house was using vs what we were producing, system never produced the amount of power it should have.

Contacted a number of companies to get things fixed and Gulfstar was able to come out, evaluate what was wrong, and make the fixes needed, which required re-wiring the entire panel, powerwall, and install 2 NEMA-14 outlets to charge our EVs.

They communicated and answered any questions I had during the entire process usually the same day or before noon the following business day.

They also provided everything needed to request a rebate from our electric company, Duke, for the 2 EV charger outlets.

I can't say enough good things about their entire team of friendly, helpful and professional staff.

I hope we never have another electrical issue in the future, but if we do, I will be calling them again.

Installed a Tesla wall charger. Geoffrey and Dirk did a great job. The instillation was excellent and they answered every question and provided valuable information on the system and electrical panel.

Gulfstart Electric were extremely professional and responsive throughout the process of replacing the main Disconnectors for our houses electricity and installing a Tesla charger. The team were excellent to work with and their communication was superb. I highly recommend their services.

We recently had a Tesla Power-wall system installed in our home. We contacted a number of qualified vendors and Gulfstar Electric was selected for this project. We were impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of all the employees we came into contact with. Gulfstar Electric is a fantastic company in all respects and would be happy to recommend them for any electrical needs.

Had an amazing experience from first reach out to final check up call. Very professional, friendly, and transparent. Did a great job with our at home electric car charger installation. Would highly recommend!

I highly recommend Gulfstar Electric for your EV charger installation needs without any hesitation. In my opinion, Gulfstar Electric shall be the go-to company in installing your EV chargers. You can’t go wrong with them.
They installed a Tesla Wall Connector in my garage recently. It is a nearly perfect experience. The installation advisor at Gulfstar Electric is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He answered all my questions and explained every detail well for the best interests of customers. They use the Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) during the installation, instead of PVC. So, their installation is more professional looking, aesthetically appealing and structurally stronger.
Even after the installation, whenever I have any questions or concerns, they always reach out to me on the same day – another sign of professionalism and a well-run organization.

From the first call, when I spoke with Christian, to the installation process with Grayson and Jeff, everything was 5-star. The people were polite, well-dressed, well-mannered, and didn't use foul language. The installation was clean, neat, and professional.

Christian spent a lot of time answering my many questions about installing a Level 2 EVSE (usually called a charger) for my first electric vehicle. It has the NACS connector (Tesla connector), but it's not a Tesla. Christian walked me through all the pieces of the puzzle to get me the right EVSE, and the right installation location. Christian is very knowledgeable, and never did I feel rushed to get through the call or pressured to choose a specific system.

Usually, I get three quotes before getting work done on the house. Gulfstar was my first call. After speaking with Christian, I chose Gulfstar and didn't look back. It was the right decision.

When Grayson and Jeff showed up for the install - the great service continued. I love to learn new things, and both Grayson and Jeff were fine answering my many questions and explaining different things to me.

One thing that sticks out is that when I was speaking to Grayson about whether someone with no experience could get a job and learn the electrical trade with Gulfstar. Grayson said they look for things like integrity more than technical expertise.

We are keeping Gulfstar's brochure in our "house stuff" binder; we will use their services again.

I recently had Gulf Electric install my Tesla Wall Charger, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The installer was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable about the setup process. He handled everything with care—from assessing the best location for the charger to making sure the installation was neat, safe, and up to code.

What impressed me most was how clearly he explained the process and answered all my questions about using and maintaining the charger. He completed the job on time, left the work area spotless, and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving.

It’s not every day you find a company that combines technical expertise with great customer service, but Gulf Electric delivered on both. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for EV charger installation or electrical work.

Don't waste time looking at other EV charger installers! This business is on top of the EV game and it definitely shows in every aspect! The electrician Zach was timely, extremely knowledgeable, and an utmost professional during the installation process. He explained the process to my level, cleaned up all debris and moved with purpose as he was in and out in an hour! Would highly recommend and keeping their contact info handy for any future needs! A+++

Gulf Star Electric is fantastic! Zach provided exceptional service from start to finish. He arrived on time, explained the work clearly, and handled everything with professionalism and care. The quality of his work is top-notch, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe and done right. I highly recommend Gulf Star Electric and Zach for anyone needing reliable and skilled electrical service.
