Terrible experience with Apex—I do not recommend this company!

I first called Apex at the end of August because my AC wasn’t working. A technician came, checked it, and said the fan board was too old and needed replacement. I went ahead and had it replaced.

In December, I received an unusually high water bill—about $1,600—and my hot water stopped working. I called Apex, but they said they don’t have plumbers. The same technician who replaced the fan board checked the water heater and told me it needed replacement. I paid half upfront and waited for the schedule.

Since Apex couldn’t handle the plumbing issue, I called another company. Their technician found a broken pipe on the hot water line; the water heater itself was fine. This explained the sudden high water bills and lack of hot water. I wasted almost a week dealing with a problem caused by Apex’s misdiagnosis. I received a refund for the water heater, but Apex should also take responsibility for the extra water bills.

A few months later, my AC started acting up again. I called Apex under the warranty, requesting a skilled technician. A different technician finally came and asked about the outside unit—I realized the previous technician hadn’t even checked it. The outside unit, installed in 2001, is now too old and needs full replacement. If the first technician had checked properly, I wouldn’t have had to pay for a fan board that I barely used.

When I raised this with Apex, they insisted it wasn’t a misdiagnosis, claiming I used the fan board for a few months anyway. Really? There was clearly a better way to diagnose the problem.

I understand mistakes happen, but I am extremely disappointed with how Apex handled everything. Their lack of accountability and careless service caused unnecessary costs and stress. I do not recommend this company.

Best service I have had of all trades that have worked on my properties. Tech responded early evening and set a schedule to visit the house later in the evening... on time , comminated twice as to progress and completed all work. Excellent attention to detail . I will most certainly use Apex for all my HVAC needs moving forward and would highly recommend them for service and new installs

When Apex shows up at your door, You're troubles are over. Great company to do business with. Great technicians and great prices. I paid $3,000 less for a Carrier system than other companies were charging for standard systems. Check out Apex today. You will be glad you did. I promise.

Apex came out and did a duct cleaning at my house. Jesse was professional, clean and did a great job. I also can't leave enough nice comments about their office manager, Jen, who coordinated the call.

I had a second call for a bad compressor. Alex came out, changed the compressor and had cold air blowing in no time. He also cleaned up and shut my fence gate on his way out. Excellent!

Mightve been my best HVAC experience in 25 years of home ownership. Tech was able to come out quickly, diagnose the problem, and repair it before noon. The price was incredibly reasonable and Im using Apex as my HVAC tech from now on. Very happy with the experience.

Excellent service. Gage Stewart was incredibly professional for a Sunday night service call to fix my A/C. His communication was top notch. Highly recommended.

I have a short term rental and the guest informed me that the AC wasn't working. My handyman wasn't available, so I looked on Google. The 1st company could not get out to my unit until the next day. In 2 hours Apex had someone out to me. It was great to get a text message that the technician was on the way. Dan was amazing. He informed me what needed to be done and wanted my permission to proceed with the repair. My AC was up and running which was important for me and for my guest. Paying was easy as well. I highly recommend Apex.
