Reviews of local pros in Deltona, Florida

Everything was done beyond my expectations and finished on my tight timeline. Before delivery of a new RV I needed some lower branches removed from a big oak tree and a gravel pad put down on the side of my house.

Shortly after starting on the tree, I noticed him reaching out, pulling off moss and cutting some smaller branches. For the price I just expected some large (9+") branches cut off and that was it. In the end, the tree was all pruned so it would grow out with a nice canopy, and all the spanish moss (that didn't look good on this tree) was pulled off. The job was finished up with a full raking of the yard around the tree and blowing off the street and driveway.

After doing the tree they came back to make the gravel pad at the side of my house. I expected a little leveling before putting some railroad ties around the edge then laying down the gravel. They ended up, with my approval, pulling out a fence that I was going to take out later, lowering the grade to match my screen room that had settled, adding a little drainage swale, and building out the pad area to accommodate an extra 4' of width that I decided to add. Just like with the tree, I just wanted to pay for something very basic but they did both jobs in a professional manner, doing all the extra little things that I would have expected for a higher price.

I have to add that Jeff was easy to work with. He's a no BS, 'do it with a handshake' kinda guy, and his son and crew were also pleasant to work with and considerate.

I already have multiple jobs I plan to use them for at the beginning of the year.

Jeff Duval and Son did an outstanding job cleaning up two large oak trees on my properties in New Smyrna Beach last week. They were very prompt, showed up right on time, and completed the work professionally on both locations.
I really appreciated that they brought ground protection plates to protect my lawns from the support arms of the cherry picker. The crew took their time to carefully remove all the dead limbs and balanced the trees beautifully for a natural, aesthetic look. The cleanup on both properties was thorough — you’d never know they were even there.
I highly recommend Jeff Duval and Son for any tree work in the New Smyrna Beach area. Great company and excellent work!

Duval and Sons came out to my house today and did some extensive work removal of 2 trees, a giant cactus and trimmed another tree and a palm. So very pleased with the job. Jeff SR was very up front on the one tree I initially just wanted trimmed and said it was dying. So I had him take it. I appreciated his honesty. They removed the stumps of the trees as well. The crew was awesome and left my yard looking great. Their price for all this was very reasonable. Well done! Will use again and definitely recommend to others. Thank you!

Honestly went well above my expectations. I had a big oak tree that was struck by lightning and quickly looked online for tree services to avoid any potential future damage to my home. Jeff came out the same day I submitted my inquiry and was very straightforward and professional. We did a walkthrough of my property and he was very knowledgeable in giving me his opinion and what should be done with the tree. Due to the lighting strike I feared that I would have to cut the tree down. He gave me his expert opinion and recommended a good trim and substantial weight redistribution. I have three big oak trees on my property and he was willing to do all three trees at what I thought was a very responsible price. I will definitely recommend Duval & Son (Duval tree and bobcat) to anyone looking for expert, reasonable tree services and will absolutely use them in the future when needed. His team was great to work with and cleaned up after themselves, which I had assumed I would have to do after the work. Great company and very transparent!

Duval and Sons Tree Service exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and respectful of both my time and property. Jeff and his team clearly know what they’re doing—his experience shines through in every aspect of the work. Whether it’s tree removal, trimming, or shrub care, Jeff has the knowledge and skill to handle it all. The crew worked quickly but safely, and they left the yard spotless—like they were never even there. I highly recommend Duval and Sons for anyone needing reliable, top-quality tree service.

I found this company because they were doing some work on my neighbors house. When I called i spoke with the owner Jeff, very responsive and professional, and they have affordable prices unlike other companies i have received quotes from. They completed the work today removing the requested trees and trimming another one, they left my yard clean and everything was completed in a professional manner.

I highly recommend their services and I will be calling them for future services.

Duval & Son trimmed up a large oak in our backyard that was struck by lightening. We were concerned about large branches hovering too close to the roof. They did a great job. We felt they were honest, professional, & very cautious. We highly recommend their services!

Jeff was very easy to work with, courteous, and on time! Quoted the work and executed the quote. Was happy to see the person quoting the work was actually on the job site.
Requested same type of work over the years from three other companies who failed to complete the task. Jeff and his crew had the knowledge and equipment to make it happen and got the job done!
We are very pleased with the small area excavation and additional tree removals and mulching. We have gained more usable space on our property and can view the lake again!

Very professional, efficient and considerate of our property including Ethan explaining details of the job. They cleaned the drive and sidewalk before they left, protected our flagstone walkway with plywood.
I really appreciated Robert's skill and knowledge when dealing with tight space and huge camphor tree. I also appreciated Damon's leadership with his crew, worked really well together, obviously worked together many times before. True Outdoors is not the cheapest however great value for their level of knowledge, skill, and professionalism.

They’ve definitely earned our future business. Thanks for the excellent work, gents!

The crew did a great job trimming the trees removal of the sump, grinding the stuff and that the yard looking much better

True Outdoors was nothing short of professional and efficient. They took down a massive 62k tree in our back yard that was way too close to our house and roof. Their team worked safely and quickly and was done in one day. No damage to our home or property and like the tree was never there. Very fair pricing. Will definitely use again in the future!

Had them come out for a quote, they were there the following day for tree removal. They went above and beyond. They are fast, friendly, clean up everything once they were done and great at answering all my questions from start to finish. We will definitely be using them again and highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Damon and True Outdoors. From the very beginning, Damon and his crew were very professional. When I asked Damon for a quote for some work I needed done, he asked various questions and provided me with a professional looking quote. When I reviewed his quote, I in turn had questions, and he was very prompt to get back to me with my information. On the day he was to arrive to do my work, he called me and told me he and his crew were on their way. He promptly arrived before expected and got right to work telling his crew what had to be done and assigning them to various areas. Everyone worked at their assigned areas and the when finished they helped other crew members. After the work was all done, everyone helped to clean up the areas and the job was finished to my satisfaction. If I ever need yard work done, I surely will be calling Damon at True Outdoors.

This team was incredible. They were here within an hour of my inquiry to see the job, and came the next day with a team and equipment. They were all very professional and are definitely experts in their craft. The work was done safely and quickly, with no mess left behind. They were very knowledgeable about trees and made some suggestions about other trees in the yard that need some attention. I wholeheartedly recommend them and will use them again in the future!!
